How To Setup Smtp Outgoing Mail

i just have a vps with plesk installed, since this is my first time have a vps, i have run into some problem,
so here is the problem.
i want to use pop3 account directly from my outlook, but i don't know how to fill the smtp outgoing address, which mean, i can logged in to account by i cannot send the mail via outlook, but if i'm using the webmail provided by plesk it's just run fine.
here is my dns config, please take a look:
note: domain name changed to domain(dot)com because newbie cannot post url link in this forum...

I getting this error when our clients are sending mail from outlook but they are able to send mail from webmail.
we are using exim mail server and whm . i can't understand where is problem , anybody can help me ?

I want to config my IIS SMTP server to copy ALL sent mail to another address.
Or, to log in more detail what was sent (I have W3C logging turned on but it doesnt record the mail subject or body).
Basically when a user complains they didnt get an email, I want to be able to look in the log to see (a) the mail was sent and (b) the body/subject of the mail.

More out of curiosity than anything, I've been wondering if there are options for filtering outgoing SMTP. Not necessarily every single message, but a firewall-level tool to watch for a sudden burst in SMTP from one host, run some of the messages through SpamAssassin or the like, and trigger an alert if they rank highly for spam.
It seems like it's technologically possible, but I've never heard of anyone doing it, nor seen an actual implementation of it. Has anyone heard of this type of thing?

I have never used any VPS or dedicated..
always used shared hosting..
now the problem is, i m runnning a fun forum.
and to promote it, i have to send lots of fun emails daily to lots of msn google and yahoo groups..
so i need a strong smtp for outgoing mails.
as i have never tried any vps or dedicatd server , so i dont know what is bettter,

I have just install on a new server plesk 12.0.18 Update #7 on centos 6.5 final.Added new hosting for the domain on a dedicated IP. All works fine (website, incoming mails etc) apart from outgoing mails.Both webmail (roundcube) and other mail software (outlook 2010, 2013 , android phone etc) outgoing mail i can't get to work.
I have attached screen from webmail with SMTP error (250) : Authentication failed..With Outlook it will allow me to set up account, test account setting... it say all all complete if i don't set secure connection (SSL)/requires authentication. But when you try sending mails you get the error: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

When you set the outgoing requires authentication/ advance SSL you get:Send test e-mail message: None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.I have tried changing to some outgoing ports to no avail.

After migrating our existing client base from legacy Plesk 9.x servers and Expand to PPA, clients phoned in with mail sending problems. These clients are using submission port 587 because their ISPs intercept port 25.
Existing client, Outlook error message:
"None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server"
Testing with Thunderbird, error message:
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again."
It seems a "fresh" PPA requires STARTTLS on e-mail clients. It is furthermore confirmed that Thunderbird detects the e-mail server settings as dependant on TLS.
The problem is that TLS doesn't seem to work properly by default.
In order to preserve our existing customer base, we follow: [URL] ....
Bottom line, in your /etc/postfix/master.cf, change the line that says "submission" from this:
submission inet n – - – - smtpd -o smtpd_enforce_tls=yes -o smtpd_tls_security_level=encyrpt -o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=yes -o smtpd_client_restrictions=permit_sasl_authenticate d,reject -o smtpd_sender_restrictions= -o smtpd_proxy_filter=127.$
to this:
submission inet n – - – - smtpd -o smtpd_enforce_tls=no -o smtpd_tls_security_level=may -o smtpd_sasl_auth_enable=yes -o smtpd_client_restrictions=permit_sasl_authenticate d,reject -o smtpd_sender_restrictions= -o smtpd_proxy_filter=127.$
then do:
/etc/init.d/postfix reload
This is just a quick fix to get you going and stop the phones from ringing. Ideally we would like to re-enable TLS and have information as to why it is not working.

I have win2003 server running IIS hosting an asp website, I am wanting to use CDONTS to send emails.
I am no pro and not really sure what I am doing with setting up the server for SMTP. I have installed SMTP Virtual Server but do not know what settings I need or what else I need to setup to get it to work.
I have always used hosted space before where it is all setup for me.
How do I go about it?

I upgraded from 11 to 12 (centOS) and set outgoing mail limits for mailboxes, domains and subscriptions, as per the documentation at URL....However, it doesn't appear the limits are limiting outgoing mail. As I can still send far more mail than the current limit using a PHP script.

I don't have any SMTP server
Its a dedicated unmanaged server that has windows 2003 and apache running. I heard you need IIS to enable SMTP on a Windows machine but I don't want to run IIS because I feel Apache is better.

we the mail send through email client, the receiver checks local ISP's ip address or mail server IP address before it blocks the emails? Or does it check both IPs?

I installed and configured the POP3 and SMTP servers in windows IIS and set them up to auth using standard auth and windows usernames for the account groomi and admin.
I can receive incoming mail just fine, but when I try to send outgoing mail with the same credentials I get a 535-invalid logon error..
