Which is the most commonly used to contact the owner of a domain (if say the whois info is private, or the owner just isn't checking their mail in the whois email)?
postmaster@DOMAIN or webmaster@DOMAIN
use and check most often?

The problem is, i got a job from client who is client to a company owning a VPS at verio.
The guy im working for isn't technical at all, and i doubt the buyer is neither.
I got the master login to verios "backroom" where it seems like i can add or remove domains and "customer accounts". And the ftp login to to the domain im supposed to work on.... what i lack is something in between. Like cpanel for the actual domain. Is it laying around somewhere or are they supposed to buy/install it?
Also, php seems to be missing. All i need is php and a mysql account to work on, im no serveradmin!

Does anyone have specific contact information for apple.com or mac.com postmasters? I've tried the standard postmaster/hostmaster addresses at both domains, with no response/autoresponders, etc. One of the IPs in our servers seems to be blocked, but can't find anywhere how to contact their postmaster.

How do you handle your postmaster and abuse addesses for each of your shared hosting accounts? I obviously dont want to receive them all as root and i dont have catchall accounts enabled. I was thinking about setting up aliases to point to their cpanel username account, but i dont know about you, but i hate those accounts and i highly doubt my clients are going to ever check them. These addresses seem to be high targets for spam as well. I have an anti-spam solution, but high volume targets still let a bit of spam through.

I've a box running Linux Plesk 12.0.18 + Postfix and hosting mydomain.com. Email service is hosted by an external provider.
The problem is that I can't write to postmaster@mydomain.com because Postfix tries to deliver it locally.
What I've already done:
Configured MX record on DNS to point the external provider's server.
Disabled mail service for the TLD from plesk panel or with:
/usr/local/psa/bin/mail --off mydomain.com
The problem still remains.
I think I'm facing on Plesk 12 the same problem described here and elsewhere on this forum for Plesk 9: [URL]
