Question: How To Enable Cpabel Access With Domain.com/cpanel Extension In Vps Hosting
Jun 29, 2008I have migrated my accounts from resller account of site5 to vps account to wiredtree...
But I have a problem now. In site5, when I use their reseller option each domain owner could access their cpannel simply by http://www.pr.web.tr/cpanel and other user also can access http://url.gen.tr/cpanel etc... the good thing if the owner is the same, he/she can use both account in the same browser in different tabs and even browsers can sace the password to reach those accounts seperately...
but in vps account in wiredtree, when user try to access http://www.pr.web.tr/cpanel the server redirects it https://host.ucuzhosting.net:2083 so it doesnt matter which domain he/she tried to connects, the server redirects them to this domain... so:
it is not possible to access the ditterent cpanels at the same time using same tabbed browser anymore.
the passowrd can not be stored on browsers either, since there isn't any domain... only the resller account panel here. so for each new domain cpanel access the password keepers only update the new password...
There must be someway to configure the access of each domains cpanel throeugh their own domain name... but couldnt figure it out...
Disabling 'Allow Anonymous Access' For FTP In New CPanel Accounts
Apr 2, 2008Everytime a new account is created in WHM/cPanel, the "Allow Annonymous Access for FTP" option is enabled by default. Since this is something I want turned off for all new accounts... does anyone know a way of switching this off globally in cPanel/WHM so that every new account will have this turned off by default?

Oct 2, 2009about anonymous hosting/domain registration. I've been a web developer for a while and just started building a site for a friend of mine overseas. He wants everything to be completely anonymous due to the nature of the site (steroids).
Now I'm pretty sure I got it figured out but it seems too easy. Offshore domain registration with a prepaid card/ offshore web hosting the same way. My guy says he wants everything as anonymous as possible and is already hooked up to the Tor network with Privoxy.

Nov 10, 2014I have an error that has arisen me for no apparent reason. This error does not allow me to enable or disable DNS domains. I searched for solutions but have not found anything.
The error message is: ERROR: Call to undefined method plesk__client__domain__dns__toggle::_postRequestRequired() (DNSToggleUIPointer.php:26)
And as I said DNS appears when activated or deactivated by the domain from Plesk panel

Strange FTP / GoDaddy / Anonymous Problem
May 27, 2006A client of mine contacted me to do some changes in his website that's being hosted with Godaddy (it was not me who did the previous works, I'm trying first time a site hosted with Godaddy).
So I tried to enter the site thro' my SmartFTP, but the moment I hit enter after filling up the address, login and password, the login and password fields turn greyish, and the address gets changed to 'domain name - anonymous'.
I get a small remote browser like I get in case of other wesites, but I get something empty in this case. I don't see any files of the website present in that browser.
Any idea how can I solve this issue?

However this time I want to setup a centos 5.1 + latest apache 2 + bind 9 server that can only be connected to by IP address and doesn't have a domain name. So what do I need to modify in the below files to do so:
First of all will I even need bind at all? I already have it setup and (mis-)configured but I guess if I don't need it I can just take if off of autostart and stop the process "named".

Mar 7, 2009I'm new to using directadmin and I've got a problem; I've not yet switched the DNS over to the directadmin server 'cause I want to make sure the sites work first, however I can't find how to view the sites. With cpanel you can go to http://192.168.1.1/~username (where 192.168.1.1 = IP of server and username is username of account).
is this possible with directadmin? I can't find anything about it, anywhere.

Other sites hosted on their server are accessible through my domains and subdomain. For example:

Host says:
"Because everything is Name-based, apache decides what directory is going to be used based upon the name that is provided. However, because the username is valid, it treats it as a vaild URL and redirects it to your site. There is no security issue, as this is just the way apache’s configuration works."
Is it really normal? Does the same happen on all apache servers? I think SE's would treat the other pages as mine, no?

But now I have this customer who is asking me to have access to his specific domain so he can upload files by him self, the thing is that i dont have a clue of how to do it. I tried to create a new account in godaddy for this customer and tried to transfer this domain into his account and I was not allowed to. I cannot give him my username and psw cause he wont only have access to his website but all those i have registered under my account. I will really appreciate some advises to help me work this out.
