When I add a new site via New Account in WHM and once the domain resolves, the cPanel 'Great Success' page shows. I have verified the site is resolving properly.
This is a brand new installation and the only changes I have made is I updated apache via WHM.
I upgraded from 10.4.4 to 11.0.9 and saw no errors in the process, everything was fine. However when I checked the sites after, all of them (including sub-domains) were showing the default domain page. All the files are still there no problem, and as a test I deleted a subdomain a recreated it and it worked fine.
I have a feeling it's something to do with IP addresses (I currently have two set up - most sites use one and about only 5 use the other) as going to the subscription and changing the IP address over to the other one then back to the original seems to make the site show up for most sites. I can't do this on all sites though - any commands to reconfigure everything and get it all back in to place?

i have hosted my website on dadicated windows hosting with rackspace. my webiste default page was index.aspx. now i have created new home page with name the of index.html and uploaded this page to server and deleted old home page index.aspx but my new index.html page not showing when i try to open open my website www.example.com but its opening when i try with www.example.com/index.html.

Last night I changed the name servers to my hostgator ones. It worked. I was installing joomla, and publishing the site. Everything was fine when I went to bed.
So I wake up this morning.. now when I go to the site it shows the stupid parked.com parking page instead of what I was working on.
I deleted all the cache, history, temp internet files, cookies, everything.. I tried in firefox, and IE. I tried on two different computers. I can't get my site to load up.
I called hostgator and they said the site is fine and they don't see a park page. They told me just to clear my cache again.

I would appreciate it if someone could check it out and tell me what site they see. I could use any ideas on how to fix this so I can view the page too.
I tried switching name servers to godaddy and then switching back to hostgator. I also emailed parked.com tech support.
A few days ago i was transferred to a different server within my hosting company. All of my sites remained the same except the only forum i have (phpbb3) now displays a blank page. All the files and database are still intact and nothing has been changed. Any suggestions as to how i would fix this problem? would it be best to backup the database and reinstall a new copy of phpbb?

Now I try to login today to update my site and see that every url with my domain goes back to the GoDaddy parking page. Is this more a problem with my host, or GoDaddy?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to show a default page as the home page of the web site, without setting it as index.html or default.html? This is only on a shared hosting account , so the client does not have access to the apache conf or anything like that.
Here is the site. But, when I move the whole account over to my server, it doesn't show as the home page.
When I try to goto mydomain.com:8443 the site looks like it's stuck in some sort of loop always refreshing and never getting to a login prompt.

I recently configured a Centos 6.5 server with Java JDK1.8 and the bundled Tomcat server X64 application. I confirmed the web server port is not already in use and also installed the Tomcat APR libraires. The application starts fine and all the logs show no severe errors however when I navigate to te URL I see a blank page. All the configuration files are in tthe correct place and whether I use just :8080 or /licenseserver the page is still blank. If I run the element inspector in the browser it shows 404 file not found.

In his awstats, the internal page views is showing a huge number of views to totally different domain names such as Yahoo.com etc
Has anyone ever dealt with this before or have any experience with what it is and how to stop it?
About the 28th September the host that I was with decided to move servers and did not inform me of this. They tried moving my site and after 18 hours of being offline decided not move my site. It came back offline, only the main page displayed but nothing else works, if you click on anything it goes to 404 page error. Only problem is, the page is displaying data up to 23rd September.
I have a blog and a forum connected and both seem to have lost all the data from the 23rd to 28th September. I have since moved host since the previous host not only did not inform me that they were moving, they didnt even bother taking a backup. I have been with my new host for over a week now so the propogation is definitely complete. Now the problem is whenever I open my blog, it keeps pointing to 23rd September (I have added a lot of posts since then). If I refresh the page, then it will show the latest posts. This is not a problem with the forum though, it works fine.
I have built a database driven site with PHP & MySQL. Pages download quicker on some connections than other (obviously), however this is not due to connection speed. The web host server seems to respond very slowly to my boss's network (which is on a proxy server). Could it be that this problem is related to the web host? i.e. could it be that the web host is unequipped to deal quickly with this type of network?
On my home connection (2Mbps), pages often download instantly, however occaisionally I have to wait 10-20 seconds to receive the page from the host.
Finally, could you recommend an excellent web host to use with our site? My boss wants to offer a professional service where server response is quick. We are based in the UK.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI had csf firewall installed, and due to my own stupidity, attempted to login with the wrong password one too many times, which added my IP to iptables, locking me out. I had to SSH into a linux box at school, and then ssh into my server to stop the iptables service so I could get into my server.
I removed every trace of my IP that I could find in csf, but sometime in the middle of the night, iptables reloads some rules from somewhere that blocks me again. I also tried doing iptables -F to clear all rules, but again, sometime in the middle of the night, rules are reloaded and I get blocked. I even uninstalled csf to no avail. I just want to remove my IP once and for all.

so i think the tech forgot to add my other ips to my network card configs
i remember layeredtech once reloaded my server and the same problem happend so they advised me to add it to a config file in my server
