CPanel Parked Domain Email
I have a domain hosted which is the primary domain with all its file hosted, it also has its own email accounts setup.
I now have another domain, i want to make the new domain the primary domain for the account which is hosting my website and the previous domain to be parked on top of it - this is with the use of cPanel.
Now from what ive experienced i should be able to use and setup email accounts from within cPanel from both domains.
This is my question.
The previous domain already has email accounts setup, if i make the switch and make it a parked domain onto the new primary domain will i still be able to retain the same email accounts/passwords/email?
e.g. if i have email@[url]after the switch i want email@[url]to be under the new primary account[url]

Parked On Addon Domain
Can a domain be parked on an addon domain in a cPanel server? At first thought I do not see it as a problem as a ServerAlias directive for the parked inside the addon domain Virtual Host container inside httpd.conf is all is required but cPanel may not allow for all it's wisdom. Let me know if cPanel would pose a problem or wouldn't allow this scenario.

Email From A Single Domain (university) Not Being Received At VPS/Cpanel
I have a problem where all email sent from uaccb.edu (studentmail.uaccb.edu [208.190.226.130]} is not arriving at my VPS. The people sending email from the above domain are not getting any errors, it is not being marked as spam, it is just being blackholed somehow. I have checked the above IP and domain, and can't find it on any blacklist, and I am using pretty standard cPanel setup on my VPS. I have spam set to be marked and receive a fair amount and have it autorouted to a folder rather than auto-deleted. From uaccb.edu, the only thing I have access to is Outlook Web Access to send test emails, and they are sent fine with no errors returned. If I send test emails to gmail and other similar email accounts, they go through fine, the only problem is to ANY domain hosted on my VPS. I have even recently transferred all the domains to a second VPS (with the same hosting company) at a different datacenter (for different reason) and the problem persists. Is there any WHM setting or any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Cpanel Domain Name Server (DNS) Setting For Email On 2 Seperate Server
This is the scenario, domain.com are setup on server1, however server2 also has the same profile of domain.com as we use ns3 and ns4 using domain.com. This works fine with the nameserver setup on server2. However I encounter problems as the emails from server2 won't reach server1 as there are duplicate profile on server2. My question is how do I setup the DNS in cpanel/whm from server2 so the emails from server2 will reach server1? Sending Email To Another Server When The Email Address Domain Is On This Server
I currently have a domain on Server 1 (Linux, Apache, Ubuntu, Matrix control panel). This server does not have any spam filter, so I have moved all the email accounts to Server 2 (Linux, Apache, Fedora Core, Plesk) which does have a brilliant spam filter; and have changed the DNS record for mail.domain.com to the IP address for Server 2. Emails are being successfully received on Server 2. On Server 1, when an email is sent through SMTP to an address at that domain, it does not send it to Server 2, it gets delivered to the hosting account for the domain on Server 1. So what I am guessing is happening is that Server 1 detects the domain has an account on the server, and instead of looking up the DNS info for that domain, just assumes it is on Server 1. What I need to do, is force Server 1 to send email for that domain to Server 2. Is this possible, and if so, how can it be achieved? If more info about the server is required for a solution please let me know and I'll provide what I can.

Email With Your Own Domain Name
I have created five different websites for different customers and I have never offered them the option of having their email with their own domain name (coustomer@yourdomainname.com) just because I don’t see an easy way for them to login to check their emails, something like www.yourdomain.com/username or something that can be easy to remember. So I was wandering how you guy are doing it, what interface is the best Horde, SquirrelMail or Round Cube? How are you guys checking your emails? Is there a lot of spam? I used Cpanel for all of these sites but I honestly have never use the email part.

Email And Domain Name Server (DNS)
I am having a slight email issue after moving my DNS to DNS Made Easy. On my wordpress blog I have it set to email me comments which the blog does just fine but ever since the DNS change I am having a weird issue. I use gmail for my email which threads emails. Now everytime I get a comment on the blog wordpress sends a new email and gmail doesn't thread them like it used to. Do i need to add something to my DNS for mail. I never added anything and the server is obvisoulsy sending mail. Yep I am a noob and a little lost. H-sphere Host / Email Not Going To Own Domain
One of my domain is hosted with a company who has h-sphere. Last one year everything was smooth and I was very satisfied with them. 3 days ago I found some of the emails stopped sending to the recipients. When the visitors create an invoice they will get the invoice by email and I will get a copy too, but now I noticed that these emails are not going to all the mails for example, when a customer create an invoice it should go to customer@yahoo.com and me@mydomain.com. What I found is it is not coming to me@mydomain.com and if the customer has a gmail address then it is not going too. but if customers email address is customer@xyz.com then he is receiving it.

Multiple MX Records For Same Domain Email
Right, I have my email address (say email@domain.co.uk) connected to my DirectAdmin controlled server. I have an the simple email services provided by 1and1 that I haven't used for ages. I am a bit confused how multiple MX records can be used, so far I have edited my DNS record file for domain.com to look like this: Code: domain.co.uk.14400INMX5mx00.1and1.co.uk. domain.co.uk.14400INMX10mx01.1and1.co.uk. domain.co.uk.14400INMX0domain.co.uk. If im not mistaken the above show the email server domain.co.uk is connected to (domain.co.uk) is the primary server, with 1and1 2nd and 3rd. However if I changed the priorities all to the same value, i.e "0" would that mean the mail is delivered to all? My ideal solution would be, if the primary server was down, send mail to secondary, but that leads me to another problem. When I want to check mail with Thunderbird its connected to imap.domain.co.uk and not imap.1and1.co.uk, so the problem now is mail split over two servers....! I would like a redundant system, to ensure email is online 99.999% of the time. So my question is, what are peoples current solutions with multiple MX records, and how have they achieved 99.999% uptime of emails.

2 Email Addresses On The Same Domain But Using Different Mail Servers
I'm trying to see if it's possible to have 2 email addresses on the same domain (e.g. email1@domain.com and email2@domain.com) but are handled by 2 different email servers (e.g. mail.domain1.com and mail.domain2.com)? To put it into context, I have a domain hosted on my dedicated server and a couple of email accounts set up on it. I also have another mail account set up on a different server but with the same domain. I was wondering if maybe something could be done with the DNS to allow the 'external' mail account to be handled by the other server?

Sendmail Can Not Send Email To Local Domain
suppose my domain is mydomain.com, my sendmail may send email to any domain name except local domain, say, sendmail may send email to hotmail, yahoo or any other domain name, but when send email to emailbox under mydomain.com, sendmail log will say domain not found. Stop Spammers From Spoofing My Email Domain
Is there any way to stop spammers from spoofing my address? I've had issues ever since I started this server with getting bounced spam where the "From:" field was (jibberish)@mydomain.com which was annoying but not that constant. I came online this morning to check my mail and had over 1200 e-mails and all of them have "online@wellsfargo.com" as the "From:" address, but the message-ID has my domain name in it.. Unrouteable Mail Domain Everytime I Send Out Email
My mail server suddenly went into chaos. Everytime I send out an email it retruns me back an email automatically telling me example: "unrouteable mail domain "gmail.com". Only Domain Reg, Email Forward And Url Redirect Wanted
I need a company to register my domain, and then forward emails and urls to my actual site that is somewhere else. I don't need any actual web hosting or email pop (at the moment). My main requirement is reliability. The company I currently use bounces some email to me and forwards other email to a black hole. They're also not replying to my mail, so it's time to leave. Email From X Domain Is Labeled As SPAM By Hotmail And Google ( MX Records? )
One of my hosted domains have an email problem, every email account that is hosted on that site, is able to send and recieve email, but when sending to gmail or hotmail, it is delivered as SPAM. Someone told me it is because this domain doesnt have a MX record at the DNS zone.. What is the sintax for the MX record ? Email Being Picked Up As Spam From Hosted Domains. Main Domain Is Ok
i have a vps and although i can send mails without problem from my main root account, sending via any of the child accounts created for customers results in their email being picked up as spam (in hotmail at least). To clarify, mydomain.com is my main name. Email can send without problem, customersdomain.com, hosted on the same machine, when sending emails they are picked up as spam. The mx dns entries in the zone file are set (by default to) customersdomain.com. and for all the child domains customer1domain.com. etc. Do i need to ask the datacenter to add a reverse dns entry for mail.mydomain.com? Is this an issue with the mx records for the hosted domains? Should i change the hosted domaims mx entry on the customers domains to mail.mydomain.com? I know the ip isnt blacklisted because exactly the same email goes through when sending from the mydomain.com email addresses.

Addon Domains Moving To Parked
I have a reseller account in WHM and CPANEL. With that I have a range of sites under it created in Cpanel under addon domains. Everything works fine, then suddenly everything goes down, and all leads to the main site. Reason is, it shows all the domains in Cpanel as parked! Even removing them from there or WHM causes it to dissappear from the addon section and not show up online. Now it happened months ago where httpd.conf file had to be edited manually. And it just happened about 30hrs ago. Does anyone know why this would happen? I have asked my datacentre 3 times, with no clear answer about it, except it just does. How can it be prevented in future? Also asked my datacentre this with no answer. Will be putting up a review of them soon, and it will be the complete opposite of what I thought of them before.

Parked Domains And Redirection With Trailing /
it's possible to stop the redirection of a parked domain URL to my primary site. For instance if my primary domain was abcd.com and i parked iloveyager.com ontop of it. The redirection im talking about is this. If i go to iloveyager.com/shots/ works fine. however if i go to iloveyager.com/shots (without the trailing slash) it will redirect me to abcd.com/shots Doesn't mod_dir cover the redirection of a URL with and without a trailing slash? I know there has to be a workaround for my problem and whether it lies in a .htaccess rewrite or modifying my apache conf is.

Change Needed To Parked Account MX Forward?
II just transfered domain hosting from my clients old host to my server. The new website is up-and-running without problems. At his request, I use a MX --> A redirect to send his mail to his local server at his business, where he wishes to receive it. It is setup as follows: Main domain (xyz.net) MX ->> extmail.xyz.net. extmail "A" ->> 99.99.999.99 (at the clients local server) Here is the PROBLEM. The client has a secondary parked account that just directs to the main account. The client has email MX forwarding from that account, which does not seem to be forwarding correctly after this changeover described above --- it is not being delivered. Question: Do I have to change the MX pointer at the secondary domain to point ->> to extmail.xyz.net? it is currently set to point to mail.xyz.net.

Changed Dns, But Still Showing Parked Page?
I changed the dns for a domain I purchased yesterday to a parking service at parked.com Last night I changed the name servers to my hostgator ones. It worked. I was installing joomla, and publishing the site. Everything was fine when I went to bed. So I wake up this morning.. now when I go to the site it shows the stupid parked.com parking page instead of what I was working on. I deleted all the cache, history, temp internet files, cookies, everything.. I tried in firefox, and IE. I tried on two different computers. I can't get my site to load up. I called hostgator and they said the site is fine and they don't see a park page. They told me just to clear my cache again. the site is www.wiispecs.com I would appreciate it if someone could check it out and tell me what site they see. I could use any ideas on how to fix this so I can view the page too. I tried switching name servers to godaddy and then switching back to hostgator. I also emailed parked.com tech support.

Troubleshooting CPanel Email
I've been concerned that my cPanel email address on my dedicated server hasn't been receiving emails. This was confirmed when an email sent by request from a friend did not arrive. The address is fosterd(***at***)pcfastlane.com if anyone would like to send me a test email. What are the steps I can take to see if my cPanel email software is running correctly? I have already looked into my mail statistics, and it seems as though there are messages not being delivered, a fair amount which seem to be spam, but others that may not be.

MPORTANT: Do not ignore this email. The hostname (server.mydomain.com) resolves to . It should resolve to xx.xx.xxx.xx. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain. Some are all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you believe everything else is correct. You may be able to automaticly correct this problem by using the ' Add an A entry for your hostname ' under ' Dns Functions ' in your Web Host Manager

Email Filtering - Cpanel
My provider is using mailfoundry for spam filtering.. but I used IMAP (stored on server) for email.. my problem is that I'm also using a catch-all address and I make up random email names for sites I go to, to check for spam on the incoming side.. I setup filters in Cpanel to remove the selected spam or emails I don't wish to recieve.. but they don't seem to remove themselves.. it could just be a setup problem or it could be the mailfoundry.. not sure.. Here's the settings I have in cpanel (I just altered the name) is this the right setting.. or does it go elsewhere?

I have a problem with the email accounts .. All of it doesnt work when i try to check them on microsoft outlook .. i'm using a whm/cpanel on a VPS from godaddy. When ever, i try to "Send & Receive" emails, i'll be prompted for the user and pass. Even when i've entered the correct one, i'll still be prompted again. I believe its one of the settings in my whm/cpanel as i have no problems with the other email accounts that i'm using from a different shared host.

Email Not Getting Through On Cpanel Server
I just realized for the past week we have not been getting email on one of our servers. If I send a test message to a non-existant account (that's set to :fail:) I get a bounce-back, so apparently exim is awake and answering. But if I send an email to a physical account or an account forwarded to another service like gmail, it never shows up, and no error is ever sent to the sending address... Very bad. I can't imagine the contacts that have been lost at this point. ConfigServer mail manage shows absolutely no email waiting.

Cpanel Bugs - Email Forwarders
I am running on my VPS the WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R17853 (Release version), I have noticed that I can't delete one of the Email Forwarders which is forward the emails to pipe program (see the attached image). Import Email Passwords To CPanel
And now after creating a Joomla! site for a school that will be moving to my server from a local small isp that doesn't have a control panel (just a screen to allow users to set-up their email name and pwd) I'm stuck with trying to figure out how to set up their email accounts with their current password. There are about 40 accounts that I can add manually, but when I change the nameservers, these teachers and staff are going to be at a loss as what to do; like I am at the moment.

Roundcube With CPanel Won't Delete Email
I installed RoundCube through cPanel and it won't delete emails. I don't get any error messages or anything. When in Roundmail I select the email to delete and then hit the delete icon or drag to the trash folder it disappears, but when i log back in or click on the inbox again it comes back. Don't know if this is part of the same problem but i also can't access created folders. It shows the folder on the left but when i click on it nothing happens. I have a feeling this is a permissions problem but i can't find the issue. Anyone have any recommendation to try? I have read alot of forums that say to enable the create folders option in the config file, it is enabled and i still have the same issues.

Cpanel/whm Email Accounts
On my cpanel server, the main account catch-all is full of crap emails. So many that when I try to log into it with horde/squirrel it just times out. How can I clear the mailbox out? I tried connecting too it from outlook express and it connects but doesnt download any of the emails. This is the main email account that cpanel automatically creates for the account.

Large Email Boxes + Cpanel
I ever seen a large mailbox be reliable, but now I have one that's mine and I have 8000 messages and 1.2gb. I can't even log into Horde webmail, if I use NeoMail its very slow, it takes 1 or 2 minutes to delete 100 messages or empty the trash. So I tried to setup the email account in Thunderbird and it times out. When I use POP3 thunderbird says it timed out but on the server I can still see the CPOP process for that user and it says it authenticating, if I try again to access it it says the mailbox lock is on, if I remove the lock same thing, no way to access it. So any advise on how to access this large mailbox, perhaps there is a way to increase the timeouts? Also whenever I try to do anything with the mailbox it increases the server load, from .20 or so it goes to 1, 2 even 3+
