Backup Option In Master Reseller
Jun 18, 2008I have bought a Master Reseller recently.
I have some technical question in my mind regarding backup.
I will start step by step.
1) I login to the WHM.
2) I click to WHMreseller Master Resellers placed on the bottom of the left menu.
3) There I saw some options at the bottom , 'Migrate' , 'Backup' ,'Change Owner', 'IP Delegation'
4) I clicked on 'Backup'.
5) There I saw two check boxes:
Enable Weekly Automated FTP Backups
Enable Weekly Automated Local Backups (will only run if cpbackups are disabled by root)
My questions are very simple:
Q1) What these two check boxes mean ?
Q2) If i check 'Enable Weekly Automated FTP Backups' and save these settings then every week , back of my all cpanels including cpanels of reseller will be generated or wht?
CPanel Reseller Backup With Sub-accounts

When I login to cpanel as reseller, I see all accounts from drop down menu.
Q1: If I do full backup from reseller's cpanel, will it backup all accounts that I see from drop down menu? Or should I login each account to backup one by one?
Q2: If I can backup all by backing up reseller's cpanel, can I restore all accounts by restoring reseller's cpanel from new server?
Is It Possible To Keep A Mirro Backup Of A Reseller Account?
Sep 13, 2007Using online backup service, it is possible if we are root or we have a vps or server to keep an exact replica of our site that we can fire off in the event of downtime happened.
Is there a solution where we can keep an exact backup (a mirror) using a reseller account even without root?
(without downloading the files of all the sub account to our own pc of course)

my problem.
I cannot seem to get my dns working properly.
I am pointing my domain of nullbytehosting.com to ns1.nullbytehosting.com and ns2.nullbytehosting.com and of course , iuse godaddy, and ive configured that part properly.
Ive recently stopped using any control panel software, and started using ssh only.
I can access ns1 and ns2 . nullbytehosting.com just fine.
www. or just plain old nullbytehosting.com and its a no go.

shows the default page I intend to see, however

or anyhting like that doesnt exist.
A lookup on the dns tools website, shows alot of errors , that google isnt much help with. everyone has their own way, and none seem to put it all together and work properly.
Server Complete - Review
Apr 9, 2009They make me wait no more than 15 minutes for support responses and I have experienced no downtime whilst being with them. Why does everything have to be so good?
Now, being serious about it:
I ordered my VPS with them two months ago because I wanted to cut down on the amount of servers that I leased. The deployment was completed within about 8 hours, had to wait for good old Otto to be deployed onto the world wide web.
I submitted some issues regarding a bit of drag in the network, slow response times etc and they responded promptly explaining the current packet loss issues with Limestone and all seemed to be resolved within an hour or so.
The ONLY issue I had is that their WHMCS, which might I say is nicely designed right now, forgot to invoice me! Other than that, superb experience all round!

Running The Complete Mod_sec Ruleset From Gotroot
Apr 13, 2009I just updated my mod_security rules to version 2 with the new rules from gotroot.com. I simply included them all. I know before with their 1.95 rules I had to sit and delete tons of useless rules as well as having to delete rules that interfered with peoples web apps.
So I figure it may be different with new version. Is anyone here running these rules on a hosting server? Doesn't matter cpanel or whatever, just an average shared server with moistly php/mysql sites.

Jun 22, 2007how often does a colo provider's datacenter go down? I'm not talking about resellers or their racks, but the primary provider itself.
This has been the 2nd time (this year I believe) that my datacenter at NAC has suffered a complete power outage [url], their backups failed, and my entire rack of servers were power-cycled.
Luckily I am not a web host but I am running some critical public web services/sites. I have all of the equipment to manage my own colocated machines from afar (monitoring, remote reboot hardware, and KVM/IP hardware for all of my machines) but I'm dead in the water if my datacenter's power is out.
I always ease my pain throughout a network outage or power outage by visiting DSLReports. Their HUGE website is hosted in the same datacenter (probably in the same room) as me and while it is a terrible thing to say, being able to share the downtime with a bigger fish is easier for me to handle.

Nov 2, 2014if I load a webpage from my server, the browser keeps still loading this page and doesn't finish loading. First if I refresh the page, I get the full page content. Sometimes there is html-data missing, sometimes I get only a part of an image. I tried different browsers and different computers, everywhere the same problem.

All Reseller's Accounts Showing Under Root When I Click "Show Reseller Accounts"
Aug 2, 2008We have about 3 resellers on one server and all of a sudden, when I log in to whm and click "Show Reseller Accounts", all accounts show under root.. What's even strager, is that under package colum, it says "undefined"
However, when I click "list accounts", all accounts show and they are properly setup up with the correct package and owner (not all root.. They also show to which reseller they belong).
how to fix the problem when I click "Show Reseller Accounts"?

May 17, 2015I have multiple backups stored under server repository (subscriptions --> <domainname> --> website and domains --> backup manager).
The physical files are located at: /var/lib/psa/dumps/clients/904279/domains/<domainname>/
When I click the green arrow to download these files to a local computer (see attached image) I get a new page with title "Download the backup file". On this page I have the option to set a password on the downloaded file, but no matter what I do (password or no password) the file is not downloaded to my local PC. I don't get a pop-up box with the option to save the file. Just nothing happens ...

Firstly I wonder if there is any possibility to limit the number of cores the plesk backup zipping tool uses? This pigz takes up all my CPU. Is there any way I can reduce the amount of cores it uses because all my websites are down every time a backup takes place for around 3 minutes.
Secondly I get the following in my syslog:
1 baby plesk sendmail[20189]: Error during 'check-quota' handler
I don't know what is wrong. I think it's since the upgrade to Plesk 12. I now have 12.0.18 Update #13.

Sep 17, 2014I have a 6GB backup file created with another Plesk Backup Manager, now I trying to upload this backup file to my Plesk Backup Manager but after upload 3% I am getting "413 Request Entity Too Large" error, I tried with disable NGINX but still getting this error.
how can I resolve this error or is their any other way to upload my file on backup manager?
I see that Backup Manager have a file size restriction of 2GB how can I increase this?
