where i can find some xen templates? or how i can create my own?
I've tried the jailtime.org ones, but they seem to be doing wierd things. i.e:

When i try and install cpanel.
I have recently created a bunch of OS templates for HyperVM as their current set were hugely outdated / unsuitable.
The images tagged modernadmin all include preconfigured DenyHosts to prevent SSH brute forcing of your customers VPS.

Does anyone know why you have to specify the Disk Space in both the Cleint area and also the Domain area within Plesk? Also for one client I have specified 250MB, but in the email user it says 'unlimited' any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm in a unique position (friend of a business owner) to provide a hosting company between 50 to 1000 new clients who need a domain name, yearly hosting and a 1 or 2 page website that clients can edit and customize to a limited amount (color, main body text and headers and some graphics within body). A basic template with graphics and text would be provided, just need the backend for the clients to customize certain things.
I'm new to the hosting scene, so I'm not sure of any exsisting hosts that offer this.
I'm sure some of the big hosting companies offer something similar like godaddy.
However we are looking for a hosting company that we can recieve residual referral monies from these clients we sign up. I guese if someone offers a reseller account with all these features, then we charge our clients whatever we want. I am just looking at options right now to research and provide suggestions to my partner.
I am trying to set up a client template using Plesk, the Maximum I want to give the user is 250MB space and 2000MB bandwidth... I was wondering if anyone else who know Plesk could give some helpful ideas on what other options would be useful for the customer?

I'm not trying to bash HG, but I need your opinion: is the HG respond is already correct?
So learn from the same thing, if I set a website sell cracked properties and only delivery the product through CD or email (not downloadble one) I can host it with HG as long as no offensive files in their server? Or in this case HG just ignore it because could not understand Indonesia languange?

I ftp'd some eztemplate files for Debian, Ubuntu, Centos and Fedora. I only rpm'd the main o/s rpm and the devel rpm.
I ran vzpkg create cache and got the below error.

Anyone know of a host that runs XEN without HyperVM as it's control panel? I want to avoid HyperVM due to the 0day exploit in it.

85.xx.xxx.xxx 85.xxx.xxx.46 85.xxx.xxx.50 4/5
And the state ball it's grey and says All Assigned, but 85.xxx.xxx.50 shouldn't! And really the IP pings!
When I make ls -la in /vz/private it have a temp VPS I think.

In the front page table it says 5 used IP but I have a directly assigned IP to the server 85.xxx.xxx.246 and I have no pools configured for it!
What can I do! I have already checked and I only have eth0 not secondary eth0:x
I see an enormous amount of companies offering HyperVM. I'm curios as to how many companies use it.. probably a large majority.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create some vps using openvz but after creating the vps with the Centos basic template 304mb i can't ping the ip and i can't view the centos welcome page in my browser (using ip and not domain, so i don't need to change there anything yet) and the most important is that i can't connect to the vps using ssh
I aks for many good users about my problem but i don' found a solution yet.
I ask my DC about ip's and they told me that the ip's are routed in my server.
I follow this instructions:

I disable selinux by editing /etc/sysconfig/selinux and changing the line to selinux=disabled
and then run:
I just login using ssh as root and run the folllowing commands.
Did i have to move to another directory to run them or ?

Next i open /etc/grub.conf
vi /etc/grub.conf
and change default=1 to default=0
Then i add the ip's at the pool and create a plan and then create a vps without any errors but nothing.
I try with my DC resolvers or the 4.2.2.1 4.2.2.2 but nothing.
I alo add at the settings the gateway with no results at all.
After all i can't ping the ip that the vps got from the pool even ping it and not possible to connect to it using the ssh Sad

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen you're creating VPS container, you can ssh with that IP and login with your username and password correct? But, what is the problem when I successfully created a VPS, and when trying ssh into it, I can't. Ok, here we go. I want to create a 2nd vps and will be using it as my DNS server. I enter a set of IPs into HyperVM's IPpool. First IP: x.x.x.178 Last IP: x.x.x.182 Resolv Entries (space Separated) : Gateway (IP): x.x.x.x.177 NetMask: 255.255.255.248
Then I created a vps resource plan. And then I created a VPS and it use the first IP from above. I want to connect to SSH and want to make it as my DNS server but seems the IP are not responding, it wasn't even live. So, what is the problem here? Where I did wrong? Just to let you know, I successfully created 1 VPS before that and it works without any hiccups. Got even whm/cpanel installed as well on it. The thing that I suspected is that my DC pulled the IPs off me and assigned them to other server. Waiting for their reply on this though.
