Virtuozzo OS Templates
Oct 18, 2008how you can make OS Templates. I do not want to have to isntall cPanel everytime I setup a new VPS and I can not seem to find anywhere that shows how to make a OS Template.

Jun 4, 2008I ftp'd some eztemplate files for Debian, Ubuntu, Centos and Fedora. I only rpm'd the main o/s rpm and the devel rpm.
I ran vzpkg create cache and got the below error.
vzpkg create cache
Create cache for all uncached OS templates...
Debug: Using temporary VEID 10000001
centos-4-x86 cache file already exist
centos-5-x86 cache file already exist
Debug: Mounting VE private area
ERROR: environment directory /usr/share/vztt/pkgenv/dpkgx64 for dpkgx64 does not exist
Then, in VZMC I tried creating a new vps using the eztemplate. For Debian 4, I got this error:

Plesk Templates
Jan 6, 2007Does anyone know why you have to specify the Disk Space in both the Cleint area and also the Domain area within Plesk? Also for one client I have specified 250MB, but in the email user it says 'unlimited' any ideas?

Aug 27, 2007I'm in a unique position (friend of a business owner) to provide a hosting company between 50 to 1000 new clients who need a domain name, yearly hosting and a 1 or 2 page website that clients can edit and customize to a limited amount (color, main body text and headers and some graphics within body). A basic template with graphics and text would be provided, just need the backend for the clients to customize certain things.
I'm new to the hosting scene, so I'm not sure of any exsisting hosts that offer this.
I'm sure some of the big hosting companies offer something similar like godaddy.
However we are looking for a hosting company that we can recieve residual referral monies from these clients we sign up. I guese if someone offers a reseller account with all these features, then we charge our clients whatever we want. I am just looking at options right now to research and provide suggestions to my partner.

He showed me and I'm surprised that what did guy did is copied from all sources included templatesmonster.com majority which is available alot of through the net (example: [url]burn it into CD and sell it illegaly.

I'm not trying to bash HG, but I need your opinion: is the HG respond is already correct?
So learn from the same thing, if I set a website sell cracked properties and only delivery the product through CD or email (not downloadble one) I can host it with HG as long as no offensive files in their server? Or in this case HG just ignore it because could not understand Indonesia languange?

Jul 26, 2007I installed Apf on Virtuozzo VE, which went well until I enabled it. I could not access Plesk installed on the machine, then I realized it was listening to port 8880 from the Service VE as well as 8443. Enabling 8880 in the common ports solved the problem, but I only want it blocked for everything BUT the Service VE.
I looked in the manual and the section that discusses adding custom rules for aliases only has a header and does not have any description.
Anyone know how to block port 8880 to the world but allow 8880 to a particular IP?

The only recent changes that have been made is the Hostname. Before making this change, I was caching OS templates like it was christmas.

Feb 10, 2008I have an main server which has ssh configured that it connects to main vz server without password.
How to connect to all vz servers and lets say do command cat /etc/resolv.conf and send result to my email address?
I believe it should be something like this:
ssh server1;vzlist ..;vzenter 1$,2$;cat /etc/resolv.conf | mail bla@blah.com....;ssh server2;vzlist ..;vzeneter... and so on so forth.
