Quote:
Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanelŽ and WHM Server
If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.
ATTENTION!
If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending an email to <webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running cPanel, WebHost Manager, and Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. Please do not send mail about this site or its contents to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group.
About cPanel:
cPanel is a leading provider of software for the webhosting industry. If you would like to learn more about cPanel please visit our website at www.cpanel.net. Please be advised that cPanel Inc. is not a web hosting company, and as such has no control over content found elsewhere on this site.

So here's my situation: I have a rented vent server, that I wanted to point vent.mydomain.com to the IP of said vent server. I put an A record in the dns pointing to the server and all is well. When I type vent.mydomain.com into a browser it take me to the cPanel/WHM page saying "Great Success, Apache is working". Is it possible that I can somehow have that get redirected to the main site or no?
Basically if Im connecting with the vent client, I want it forwarded to the vents IP, otherwise I want to have it redirected to mydomain.com.
i have a dedicated server running cpanel whm and i most sites have a single main shared ip. When i assign a dedicated ip to new user account in cpanel, the domain points to cpanel great success page. The site doesnt load. Strangely, if i type dedicated.ip in the browser, the site loads fine.
I thought this is simple question, but guess i m wrong.
<?php
require_once 'DB.php'; require_once "Auth.php"; echo "seems like pear cannot be found , oops,, help me out..."; ?>
this is acutal link: [url]
it only has 3 lines. I m getting error message, cuz file is not found. I called them twice and file 1 ticket and 1 reply. the last call they said tech still try to figure out what happens, maybe something wrong with my code.
My Server is up and running CentOS 4.6 w/ cPanel. All appears to be functioning correctly. My office has 1 dedicated IP. I currently have a wireless linksys router setup and I have given the server a dedicated lan ip address (192.168.1.70) which is outside the dhcp ip range.
Now, my resolv.conf file consists of the DNS servers of my webhost.
My ifcfg-eth0 file looks like this: DEVICE=eth0 BOOTPROTO=static BROADCAST=192.168.1.255 HWADDR=00:11:2F:FB:2C:02 IPADDR=192.168.1.70 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 NETWORK=192.168.1.0 ONBOOT=yes TYPE=Ethernet
Now, when I attempt to view a website I add via WHM I always end up @ the GREAT SUCCESS cPanel page.
I think my problems boil down to the IP issue. I have tried to change the IPADDR in the ifcfg-eth0 file to the WAN dedicated IP and everything stops working.
Within cPanel it shows the MAIN SHARED IP ADDRESS is the 192.168.1.70. So, within the IP POOL I added the WAN IP address and rebuilt it. Then I created a new reseller user and changed the MAIN SHARED IP to the WAN IP.
Can I manage all from one .htaccess file in main root (www) or should I create "esp" directory (and point old subdomain to it - one for every language) and put .htaccess in every directory with redirection ?Â
how to fix the issue of subdomain suddenly not working. I check httpd conf the entries were there. I did run /scripts/rebuildhttpdconf but still not working. I also roce update cpanel still not workin
I have strange problem configuring Apache SSL on windows 2008R2 server.I have Application WAR file deployed on windows 2003 and 2008R2 servers on weblogic 10.3.5. Now am configuring Apache as web server with SSL(using openssl).
I have added the mod_wl_22.so into modules folder. My requirement is
Client----HTTPS----Apache-----HTTP----weblogic
So SSL is only till apache.
I have generated a self signed certificate using openssl to test this setup.I installed apache on windows 7 machine and configured the SSL.
If i point the location to the deployment done on 2003 server, SSL works fine. But if i point the deployment to 2008R2 then i get the Application login page. From there if i click on any link it just gives the login page again. But in the Apache access logs i can see the request is going but response is either 301,302 or 404.
I configured Apache SSL on 2008R2 where weblogic is installed. Got the same problem. To confirm the weblogic deployment is working correctly, i accessed the direct weblogic url and application works perfectly fine on both 2003 and 2008R2 servers. Here is my apache ssl configuration
I just modified the httpd-ssl.conf file to below settings.
I have a few sites that I point to my nameservers, but the accounts aren't set up yet for them.... quite a few actually... and while they might only be on this page for a day or two at most, a few of the sites get quite a bit of traffic.
Can someone please tell me where I can find this HTML file so I can edit and brand my own custom page in place of this "Great Success!" Apache / cPanel default error page?
How do I make sure that there are cron jobs running on my cPanel server? I have root access, etc...just not sure why my crons aren't running. Nothing weird going on.
Just got a new server online this week from VolumeDrive, and everything has been going just fine with my initial setup. I transferred over 7 domains from another cPanel/WHM machine and the transfer feature worked flawlessly.
Since I use Gmail for most of my communication, I haven't even had any email accounts setup on any of my domains in quite sometime. So knowing that I need a few setup for various correspondence, I went ahead and set one up tonight. I've setup and used mailboxes on cPanel machines before, and it's not exactly rocket science... pretty easy stuff.
But what's weird here is that when I attempt to click on the "Webmail" icon from directly within cPanel, the Horde login fails over and over again. Then, if I setup the account in Thunderbird or Outlook using the CORRECT account information (username@domain.com as the login -- and the appropriate password/server settings), the client login fails also.
To add to this weird behavior, I sent myself an email at the newly setup address with a 2mb attachment. Obviously I can't login to the account to see if the mail arrived, but at least it didn't bounce.
However, when I'm in cPanel under this domain and go to "Email Accounts", I'm showing "0 Bytes" for usage under the account where i know there should be at least 2mb worth of usage.
I ordered a vps from knownhost the other day for $50/mo w/ cpanel
I have been using it for:
hosting of my own websites and 5 other clients (15 websites total)
installed a counter-strike source 11slot 100tick 500fps server w/ srctv on it and it RUNS GREAT!! solid 500fps, no lag/choke, wonderful registration!
cpu load maxes at around 60% and ram usage is about 80%
after being with nearly ever game server provider out there my team has agreed that this is the best server we've ever had.
so to all of you people wondering about it, YES, you can run a gameserver on a vps, and I reccommend it to everyone. Not only will it save you money, but you will be able host all your websites and run even a ventrilo server if you want.
One of my dedicateds (Fedora 7 / apache 1.39 / php5 mysql5) has been running flawlessly but now has a strange ~4-5 second delay when serving up PHP/mysql pages such as Wordpress.
I say delay because it appears to think about it for several seconds, then when the page finally begins the refresh process, everything serves up lightning fast. Latency is low, direct file downloads are faster than ever.
ModSecurity is running, and accounts for about 1 second of that delay (tested with it on and off), but the other 3-4 seconds is a mystery.
This is a totally fresh install. I noticed bind was not running so I went to do a restart in WHM and I get the following error..
named has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "named is not running"). Jun 5 14:19:14 dts131 named: /etc/named.conf:65: open: /var/named/named.rfc1912.zones: file not found
index-file.names = ( "index.php", "index.html", "index.htm", "default.htm" ) and my httpd.conf
Code: ProxyRequests Off ProxyPreserveHost On ProxyPass /lighttpd http://0.0.0.0:81/ ProxyPassReverse / http://0.0.0.0:81/ Now when I created a folder on my server's httpdocs /lighttpd/
everything runs smooth so I got the lighty to work for me.
Okay now that i figure it works I wanted to run one of my subdomain on lighty so that I can reduce the load on the server. Does anyone know how I can setup one of my subdomain to open with lighttpd and keep everything else on apache?
I am struggling with this all the day, no answer i found here as well. how to setup proper a subdomain i need. My Apache config has 2 domains configured (on same IP), for the domain2.com i need to setup a sub-domain. Here is what i have so far, but the subdomain keeps redirecting me to domain2.com (main site).
