Autoresponder
Vpopmail
VQadmin
maildrop
QmailAdmin
Courier-imap/imaps with Courierpassd
Squirrelmail web mail program ......
We are moving our hosting to a new supplier . We offer hosting services to our clients and our present system produces automatic emails with all the clients log in details passwords etc. when you join or buy a new URL.
The new hosting supplier tells me that using Parallels panel this isn't possible .
have to produce manual emails is not really an option as I see massive problems
What is email forwarding for? My hosting server account gives me about 999999999 available, how will I use it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have signed up for hostgators webhosting.
Upon setting up, I found out that outgoing mails from any email addresses from my domain name cannot be copied to another email account. I've tried scripting on the client software (e.g)outlook. it works. but then again, it only applies on the client side if the scripted client is present. this would not work if the email is sent from the web based login.
is there a work around for it?
If there isn't, does any one know of any webhosting co. that allows that?
Situation is, my current host does allow it. Due to small amount of disk space allocated, reliability of the service, technical support and cost, we therefore have decided to switch to another host.
I currently have one server with multiple domains on it.
I run apache with virtual hosts.
I want to setup email forwarding such that:
Email sent to <anyone>@aaaa.com ----forwards to----> <some email address>
Email sent to <anyone>@bbbb.com ----forwards to----> <some email address>
...
Email sent to <anyone>@xxxxx.com ----forwards to----> <some email address>
Any pointers? Im not even sure what to search for on the net.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to forward email off this Plesk control panel to an email address outside of the domain - my customer wants his email forwarded to his blackberry using a specific email address - la_yoyager...etc..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need a company to register my domain, and then forward emails and urls to my actual site that is somewhere else. I don't need any actual web hosting or email pop (at the moment). My main requirement is reliability.
The company I currently use bounces some email to me and forwards other email to a black hole. They're also not replying to my mail, so it's time to leave. BTW, this is a company that has generally excellent reviews.
I have server running Plesk 8.6 with Qmail. Recently some users complain that when they send email out they received undelivered email from Qmail (plesk) with lots of unknown address. Users are concerned about that mail server is sending out mail that they did not send it to. I have attached one of the typical example that user got.
I have changed domain name and ip address for dummy address. I have no clue that the server automatically append those junk email address to the senders email or the client application did it without user's consent.
I am having problem with qmail. I have forum and users are not getting emails send via forum.
I don't care about receiving e-mails and I never do. All I want is for outgoing mail server to be working.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Also, I think qmail came as a default (preinstalled) on my server. Is there some other program I should rather use for my purposes? (Again, all I need is *outgoing* mail server). I am using CentOS.
Here is output of 'ps aux' command, related to mail services ....
I setup my cron job run daily and it automatically sends email to root@server.mydomain.com after it done. How do i setup forward email from root@server.mydomain.com to my gmail or other external email provider ? That means every time if root@server.mydomain.com receive email than my other maail will get that email too.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a server(godaddy) with plesk. It was all working well till 8 - 10 days ago. I didnt notice it one week later where I started receiving a lot of failed mail notices. Then on investigation, there were more then 50K spam mails in the mail queue and the mails that were supposed to be sent(registration, forgot password) were also held up in the queue. I found the source of the spam and fixed that.
Also I cleared the mail-queue. Now when I try to send out a test message, it still gets held up in the mail queue. But I can send a test mail to the same domain (info@mydomain.com). All new user registration mails are also held up and this is greatly affecting the site.
I was looking at my qmail queue using qmHandle and noticed that one of the emails sitting in the queue was simply there because of a blatant typo in the email address.
Therefore, I went to the appropriate file in
/var/qmail/queue/mess/*/*
and edited the file to reflect the new email address.
Does this work at all, or should the user resend the email? I naturally don't want to look at email that isn't intended for me (which is why qmHandle is a useful tool -- because only headers are available) nor do I want someone to know that I know their email is sitting in the queue (because they might assume that I *am* reading their email even though I'm not!)
I tried qmHandle -a to no avail; the email address has been edited as per my changes, but the email is still just sitting there.
I installed RoundCube through cPanel and it won't delete emails. I don't get any error messages or anything. When in Roundmail I select the email to delete and then hit the delete icon or drag to the trash folder it disappears, but when i log back in or click on the inbox again it comes back. Don't know if this is part of the same problem but i also can't access created folders. It shows the folder on the left but when i click on it nothing happens. I have a feeling this is a permissions problem but i can't find the issue. Anyone have any recommendation to try?
I have read alot of forums that say to enable the create folders option in the config file, it is enabled and i still have the same issues.
I have a situation with a client who wants to keep their current hosting provider for email, but switch their web hosting to a new host. I have recommended downtownhost to them, and explained that we could set up an mx entry to point to their old host for email forwarding.
They came back and suggested keeping their current ISP to manage the DNS entry to forward all http requests to DTH, so that mail does not need to pass through DTH.
I'm not a hosting whiz so I hope I explained this correctly. I was looking for some advice on:
a) does their solution make sense?
b) why would you want to do things this way?
My client is changing servers, and they need to get the mail from their old server to theie new one. Anyone know of a mass mail forwarding utility or something similar that could handle this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several domains on my server.
ABC.com
DEF.com
XYZ.com
These 3 domains have email hosted my google and everything works as expected there.
However, when I try and send email from a php form to an address at XYZ.com, my server tries to send it locally, instead of sending it to google's MX address. If I try and send mail from this php form to either ABC.com or DEF.com, it works great and sends it to google's MX servers.
I ran a email trace from within cpanel and it returned this:
asdf@XYZ.com
virtual_aliases via /etc/valiases/XYZ.com

-------- XYZ@myserver.com
localuser to local delivery
asdf@ABC.com
lookuphost via ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.com

I have a vps with a site has phpbb2.
Before one month I migrated to another vps host.
In the old vps, the sending notfications such as reply new topic ( watch ), e-mail activations to new members notifications of the private messages were working very fine and each memeber which has valid e-mail will receiev these notifications from my forum.
The old vps using sendmail.
But the new one using qmail and it is will configured and the e-mail notifications are recieved which means that it is working except the ones who use hotmail accounts begin not recieve anything, the others e-mails are recieved well.
The files are the same, excpet the old uses sendmail, the new vps uses qmail.
After many days of searching how to solve this I decided to contact the support team.
They replied to me that they should do to overcome hotmail receive email problem, reverse PTR record needs to be added and to add SPF records under my domain's DNS zone.
They did and they told me to wait 24 hours, I waited for 4 days and it did not work.
I went back to them and again they look closely to my qmail configurations and it is fine and working and also they made an hotmail account to test and send e-mail form my mail server and it had been accepted which means that my domain and my new IP is not blocked by hotmail.
So their is nothing wrong excpet that email notifications from my phpbb it still won't go to members who have hotmail.
Very strange if the hotmail hates php mail scripts like phpbb why before in the old vps was like, and now suddenly hates.
I have active directory setup. Two users are in there that have exchange mailboxes. One has been deleted, but still gets mail on occasion. So, to keep things simple, bob@mydomain.com is a current user. tim@mydomain.com is the one that was deleted. Can I forward mail from tim's address to bob's address without a using a distrobution list?
I usually use contacts to forward mail, but that only appears to work for external addresses, and not for internal addresses (ie, mydomain.com)
Any ideas?
I have a RC4 sever running with apache2, PHP 5.1.2 and qmail installed.
