View 7 Replies View RelatedI have several DBs and need to run a cron job on one of the databases every night.
to run a repair/optimize on the DB as its very active, this is the command I thought I would use:
Code:
REPAIR TABLE `etc` , `etc` ,
Code:
OPTIMIZE TABLE `etc` , `etc` ,
How do I specify which database to run this on in the cron in CPanel?
My site is databases driven and runs on around 15 mySQL databases. Im wanting to download a local copy of these databases daily, however, if i try and back them up via cPanel (on a WHM VPS) they give me blank files. Each databases is around 55mb and growing. I can back them up one by one via phpmyadmin, it just takes around 5 minutes per database. Meaning around 40 minutes per night..
Is there any solution for having a script downloading them automatically so i can download them via ftp? I've tried [url].htm but it gives me blank files.
I am trying to develop a new way to secure my server. But I couldn't find any way i can search for a specific word on the whole mysql server ( All databases )..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three sites running on three separate servers behind a single router with DDWRT. One of the servers is a Windows 2003 server that I have DNS running on.
Each domain name points to my public static IP address.
My router is set to use the windows 2003 server as the DNS server.
I have port 80 forwarding to the windows 2003 server.
I can access the sharepoint site that is on the 2003 server from outside my network and within it without any problems.
When I try to access one of the other two sites from outside the network, i get a 400 error. When I try to access the same sites from within the network, they work fine.
I am starting a small template based company. How many unique websites in their own unique folder can I host on a single server?
These websites would not get many hits, maybe a few hundread to a few thousand a month per site. My goal is to minimize the number of accounts I will have to open up with a web service provider.
Should I purchase 1 package per site or is there a way to get around this. Each unique site would have its own unique domain.
I would like to run fsck in boot up. How can I run it? Please let me know.
It is centos and I clicked E and it came up to edit grub file, I am not sure how it needs to look.
I'm about to the point where I am ready to host my website. I already have a domain but no hosting plan. In the future I may want to have several different websites each with their own unique domain. I was wondering if I choose a hosting plan for one site, can I use the unused web space for additional domains/websites?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI have been very interested in Mosso for quite some time, though Cloud Sites didn't seem quite right for what I needed with the compute cycles they had. However, their fairly new Cloud Sites looks very interesting, and their sales people at least will have me believe load balancing with several server instances will be superior to my current dedicated server.
Right now I have a server with Liquid Web that costs me $424/mo and 4x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz with 4GB of RAM. The average load on the server is anywhere from 30% at low times to 70-80% at peak times and memory usage is usually 20-50%. On average there are about 1000 mysql queries per second as the site is very ajax-intensive (hence Cloud Sites being way too expensive).
I don't really know the difference and technical side of all of this, I just program and do the business side of things, but I really like what Mosso has and am wondering if I would get a performance boost going with their Cloud Servers (Going with something like 8 server instances at 512mb RAM each @ only around $200/mo including bandwidth). Also, would I want to load balance all 8, or do something like 4 running the mysql and the other 4 serving the actual site?
I need to configure multiple Apache Web Servers on redhat server. I have copied and extracted Apache 2.2 into redhat server and extracted but not able to install because I don't understand setting prefix. Please let me explain about prefix configuration and how to set it. At the same time I would like to know is it possible to setup 4 Apache Web Servers on same machine if possible then how to. Can we set up different versions of Apache HTTP Servers?

He has also checked with his IT at work and they confirmed the site is not available. He is computer savvy, so I trust he is telling the truth.
His work and home are only 10 miles apart.
Do you guys have any ideas what could be happening? Is there a DNS entry wrong somewhere? He can't access the site even when putting in the IP address.
There is one other user reporting something similar but other than that no other complaints. The site works fine for everyone else.
site is gm-trucks.com
i've been researching this but can't seem to find a decent solution.
basically trying to limit the cpu usage of a single domain, or limit accesses per hour if that's possible?
i tried adding an entry in /etc/security/limits.conf which restricts numproc to 2 and then down to 1, but it doens't seem to make any impact on the load. load of the server drops from about 1.5-2 down to 0.02 when this single site is suspended, and i can't have it run wild.
ideally would like a message that says something along the lines of server is too busy... trying again in 5 seconds or something along those lines?
I have two domains as virtual hosts on same IP address.
I am getting certificate error for the second domain when I try to check email (using MS Outlook). I can't permanently "accept" certificate, it complains again and again. Certuficate I created and self signed for imap.domain1.com, but the second email server is imap.domain2.com, so it complains.
How do I set separate email certificates for two domains? Is it possible at all?
The sql server I have my users use is on a different server from which plesk is installed. Plesk should include the size of the user's databases from the external server as well otherwise the user can have a database as large as he wants. It's no longer restricted by the plans limits.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have done many tests and always fails.= Plesk 9.5 to Plesk 12 =
I perform a migration with several domains from Plesk 9.5 and Plesk 12, it runs well. Then I remove all the migrated domains in Plesk 12 server. Then I perform a new migration with the same domains from the same server with Plesk 9.5 to the same server with Plesk 12 and it fails. The reason is that Plesk 12 doesn't remove the databases attached to the subscriptions. The new migration tries to deploy the databases and it can't because the same databases with the same users are deployed already.
I tried to remove the databases with `plesk bin database` and it was not enough. Maybe the same error will show when you migrate from Plesk 11.5/12 to Plesk 12.
Plesk12 has been installed on Windows2012R2. In the Tools and Settings/Database Servers list we have
· Local MySQL server (default for MySQL)
· .MSSQLSERVER2012
· sql-db-1 (default for MS SQL)
We only expect to use the remote sql-db-1 database for user databases.
Can we delete the other 2 databases and is this recommended? Does the Local MySQL server contain the Plesk Management database/schema?
today we notice that all subscriptions on Plesk when we access phpmyadmin has access to all databases,it was a Plesk update that can be done this ?
I don't remember to update anything during this days to this happen.
I have 2 Nodes. Both of them are configured like this:
Node1: Roles: MySQL, Apache,. Postfix; Attributes: Apache, Postfix, Webhost; restricted=>Reseller1
Node2: Roles: MySQL, Apache,. Postfix; Attributes: Apache, Postfix, Webhost; restricted=>Reseller2
I log in as Reseller1 (clean login; not by switching from PPA Admin to Reseller1), create a Webspace and a Database. At that point I am able to see and create Databases on every Node, even on Reseller1 (Node1), which is set to restricted. I guess this behaviour is not intended, isn't it?
I have upgrade my mysql plesk installation from 5.1 to 5.6 and have troubles in setting utf8mb4 charset for server and databases. Special characters still display badly in my websites. I'm running Windows Server 2012 R2 and plsk 12.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was trying to look up something from the horde Databases just to find that the full server backup that can be triggered in "tools & settings" -> "backup manager" does NOT include the horde and roundcube databases, even with "configuration and content" selected.
Sure, there are 7 days worth of daily backups in /var/lib/dumps but it would be nice to have those files included in the "full backup" Or am I missing something here?
Plesk Panel 11.5.30, on Centos 5.10. I have 2 'domains' running on the same ip; sub.mysite.com and mysite.com. I need to add SSL to sub.mysite.com.
From the documentation, [URL] ...., it appears that if the user is using a SNI compatible browser a single SSL certificate for sub.mysite.com should work (as I am using a linux server, SNI is enabled by default I believe).
However, the control panel for the domain (website & domains > hosting settings) states that "To employ SSL, move this site to a dedicated IP address, install an SSL certificate on the site, and then select it below." In addition, other documentation makes reference to a "Secure your sites" link on the control panel to implement a purchased SSL certificate, which is not visible to me - I presume because the domain is not on a dedicated ip address.
Can someone confirm that;
a) a SSL certificate for sub.mysite.com on a shared ip will work.
b) that the SSL for sub.mysite.com would managed at the server level (Server Management > Tools & Settings > SSL Certificates) rather than the domain's control panel.
One alternative may be to purchase a wildcard SSL certificate (*.mysite.com). This post [URL] .... suggests that this would work. However, this is a more costly option and does more that I need (i.e. delivers SSL for all domains).
I could also purchase a dedicated ip address for sub.mysite.com. I have no experience of moving domains within plesk from a shared ip to a dedicated ip. Is this a straightforward process?
Currently we host a site constructor tool with a dedicated panel and we would like to add email hosting using PPA services.
We have already installed the system and customized the PPA panel which will be accessed by our panel.
We would like to know if it is possible to use Single Sign-On (SSO) access on some manner (with PPA API or other module), so our customers don't need to enter with user and password again to administrate their e-mail accounts.
I am using Plesk 12.0.18 Update #51 on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS.
