Is it possible to install and run Plesk on Google App Engine? If so, could you point me to some appropriate documentation? If not, what about Google Compute Engine?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a site with heavy use of large and small images. The site gets majority of traffic from US and Asia. Using a CDN for JS, CSS, site images and user uploaded images will help the site a lot to speed up.
One of the cheaper options is Cachefly which I was considering, until I found an article about using Google's App Engine as CDN. http://www.google.com/search?q=google+app+engine+cdn
I think it is very inexpensive way to put your content on a CDN. Has anyone tried App Engine as a CDN? Does anyone know if they serve content from local servers in Asia, Europe or is the content served from US?

Above the free quotas, Google charges $0.12 per GB outgoing traffic, $0.10 per GB incoming traffic, $0.10 per CPU-hour, $0.15 per GB storage per month.
How do those numbers translate to normal web hosting plans? For example, the traffic that can be supported by a $40/mo VPS plan and $200/mo dedicated server plan, what would they cost on Google App Engine?
I know it depends on a lot of factors, but if anyone has any ballpark estimates or experiences they're willing to share I'd really appreciate it.
I'm trying to decide between App Engine and standard web hosting for a DB-backed Python site. The site will start small, but if the traffic grows I want to see which would be a better option long term.
when I go to open plesk the browser give me this:
ERROR: Zend_Db_Statement_Exception: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1030 Got error 28 from storage engine (Pdo.php:234)
sw-engine fails to start with the following message:
system is debian 7.0.7 with Plesk 12.0.18 I have the problem on two servers, it started after upgrading debian
/usr/bin/sw-engine: error while loading shared libraries: libruntime.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
on a fresh installation of Ubuntu (at first 14.04 but on 12.04 the same problem occurs) I installed Plesk via the autoinstaller. It seems to be all fine except I cannot open Plesk in the browser.
The web browser shows "502 Bad Gateway", a look into the error_log at "/var/log/plesk/sw-cp-server" shows the following error:

Where to find any startup error log for sw-engine, where I could find any further information.
Actually i have PHP 4.4.5 + Zend Engine v1.3.0.
One of my customers needs Zend Engine v2.0.4-dev installed.. this is a RHES 4 + cPanel box..
Does anyone know how to install/upgrade Zend Engine v2.0.4-dev?

Here a little bit about my configuration:
a) I have set a Reverse DNS (xyz.mydomain1.com) - My hostname!
b) i run 4 domains on this server (mydomain1, mydomain2, mydomain3, mydomain4)
c) my DNS settings are made by myself in my Domain Provider account
d) i also set SPF records and i use Domain Keys
Everything works like a charm but following now the outputs with my problems:

if I try with Wordpress, I don't have any problems.
With Joomla : step 2 : I've got this message in log file :

So I have a client using Wordpress 3.6, so the scan does little good.
I update the Wordpress to 4.1.1 and do the Scan again. Plesk cannot find the updated install of WP still?
