My Customers and I have Problems connecting to IMAP-Server. By moving through IMAP Folders I get the Massage "Unable to connect to your IMAP server. You may have exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server"

We have a lot of users on IMAP but many are randomly getting disconnected.
How do we increase the max number of allowed concurrent IMAP connections?
I would like to know what is the maximum number of Apache connections a Server can handle? Does this depends on the Config of the Server? Is it Possible for a server to handle more than 2500 Active Apache connections without timeout / connection failure / slowness?
View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I log on plesk 11.09 I get an email from admin saying that due to maximum number of failed login attempts for admin, the account was blocked for 30 minutes.
First, I do not get failed login attempts, I log in every time.
Two, the account is not blocked, I can log in, out and back in as many times as I want without problem except that I get this email everytime.

I use APF and APF is working with iptables , when I define a large number of IPs in deny_hosts.rules or allow_hosts.rules and restart the APF , iptables begins to display errors after applying some number of rules , I have set SET_TRIM="0" in APF , so the number of APF rules is unlimited and the error is from iptables.
Is there any setting in iptables config files for maximum number of rules?
Is it unlimited and depends only on system available memory? O/S , ...?
Curious to know the maximum number of sql server databases you guys have seen on a single server box?

Since the update I have a problem with my Firewall. I need to set "Allow all incoming connections" under "Server => Firewall" in order to connect over FTP with TLS (explicit). This was working before the update without allowing all incoming connections. How to fix this in the Plesk panel?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOur server is running; Plesk 11.0.9 and CentOS 5.7 it has a Q8200 CPU @ 2.33GHz and 2GB of RAM. Now there are just two websites on the server plus a couple of redirects/forwarding domains, although lots of domains are still on the server but turned off in Plesk. Both websites are OSCommerce sites and I just need to keep these sites going until the end of the year when we will switch to our new Joomla based website.
We have seen an increasing number of server crashes and after various checks of the logs, fitting a new BIOS battery, check of the hardware by EasySpace who host the server, installation of ClamAV, LMD and RKHunter (which did find some Trojans and Suspect software), I have traced it down to some external Http activity that is taking all of my CPU time and RAM. Here is a screen capture of the Htop listing and when I killed these processes the CPU and RAM went back to normal. The problem is that I usually have to restart the HTTPD service and sometimes things get so bad that the server crashes and I have to request a power cycle.
I am seeing huge connections in my server. I run netstat -anp and see 290 conections from IP 10.0.77.54:

What means this IP and this huge connection number?
I am trying to figure out how Apache is working on windows 7 - so far so good - but how do I set restrictions and limitations on bandwidth usage and max number of IP-connections?

I need to setup 5 email accounts on my domain, each will use IMAP and store messages on server, so total space taken by each account will be 2-5 GB.
I have decided to go with eurovps.com as I'm close to them and ping is fast.
What is the best solution for IMAP and large email accounts: Linux Cpanel, Linux Plesk or Windows Plesk?
Each account will be accessed by 2 people differently by Thunderbird and occasionally by webmail, so nice webmail is a plus.

I purchased an ssl certificate and installed it in plesk via server->ssl certificates. I then followed the following guide to set up imap and pop to use my cert (instead of using the default i used my cert into) URL... Now I'm getting an issue with sending emails, something about SSLHandshakeException, and some clients can't even log in. MTs support mentioned this might have something to do with POODLE.

Sending mail over SSL (port 465) will fail if SSL certificate does not match the mail.domain.tld setting. Resolution is provided by [URL] ....
IMAP folders (including INBOX) are not listed. Resolution is provided by [URL] ....
Sent items are not stored (nor online, nor offline). TechNet says that SENT and DELETED folders are no longer configurable by design. The only way to get sent items in a folder is by setting up a custom rule and using Visual Basic (!) to mark the messages as read.

In the plesk backup-settings I've set the max. number of backup-files to 5.
Actually Plesk doesn't limit the number of backups stored in the local repository.
So unfortunately the partition is running out of space.
What can be done to solve that problem?

I'm now with a bit of a problem on my server. I tryied to add a new domain and I haven't counted how many domains I had on my server because I was thinking that plesk would warn me if I was reaching my limitation of domains, so I added a new one...
My license was for 10 domains, and now I have 11 domains so I'm getting an error when I enter my plesk panel. The error basically says that I exceeded the number of domains of my license so I have to buy a new one.
The problem is that when I want to click on the cancel operation button on the bottom of the page I'm constantly being logged out and I cannot cancel the operation, so I'm in a loop right now: "Log in -> get error -> Cancel -> Automatic log out -> Log in"
What can I do to delete one domain completely from my server?
