Mar 21, 2015I am using Web admin edition .I need to create two subdomains namely sub1.example.com and sub2.example.com with different IP address. So i need to create two webspaces since a webspace cannot have two domians pointing to two different IP. So now to I can create two webspaces set to different IP. But to create sub1.example.com in one webspace and sub2.example.com in another webspace , i need main domain example.com in both the workspace. But if try to create example.com in second webspace it already exists.Because it exists in another webspace. Actually i dont want to create example.com in both webspace. i need to its subdomain in different webspace.
So one solution is to create example.com and sub1.example.com in one webspace and create another webspace using Adding new webspace and specifying domain name as sub2.example.com. But i don't know does the second subdomain will work properly without creating main domain.

Sep 28, 2014I'm setting up a SAAS service which is built on top of Laravel. To put it simply the service itself knows whether its being called from a sub.example.com or just example.com and serves a correct response accordingly. So going to sub.example.com will use the same index.php file as example.com but the routes and controllers within the application will provide a different response. sub.example.com will show a tenant login page where as example.com will show a new tenant subscription page or something else.
So when someone new subscribes I add a new entry to the database with a subdomain name for them and when a request comes from that subdomain and they are logged in it will show them their information. Easy right.
There is a problem though with setting it up with Plesk. When I add a wildcard subdomain, it will look for /subdomains/sub/ for the files which is a bit problematic since I want it to serve the files from the same place as the domain example.com.
Is there a way to configure that so that regardless of the subdomain it will try and serve the exact same content as my main domain?

Jan 23, 2007I have a domain name as per my sig. I am also creating a subdomain totally in contrast with that site below. My primary domain has one page on it so i would like to:
a) delete the one page on my primary domain
b) Make the contents of my subdomain my primary domain. e.g my domain is www.info-peep.com, my sub will be example.info-peep.com........i would like to make example.info-peep.com : www.info-peep.com......that make sense, as really the sub will be my main site.
Basically wanting to transfer the contents of my sub to my primary. So when people click info-peep.com, it will be the sub's site. Another thing to note is that i am using RVsitebuilder (WYSIWYG) that my web host provides. Also BEAR IN MIND the WYSIWYG editor does not allow me to move pages (sucks) or to copy the page contents.

Oct 4, 2012I have 2 domain names, lets say domain1.com and domain2.com.
domain1 is the main domain and it has a subdomain, lets say sub.domain1.com.
What i want to do is to forward domain2 to domain1 without loosing its name. I used frame forwarding at plesk panel. The domain2 is correctly forwarded to domain1 without loosing its name. The problem is that the sub.domain2.com displays the domain1.com and not the sub.domain1.com
Below are my dns settings at domain2.com:
xx.xx.xx.xx / 24 PTR domain2.com.
sub.domain2.com. A xx.xx.xx.xx
ftp.domain2.com. CNAME domain2.com.
ipv4.domain2.com. A xx.xx.xx.xx

The funny thing is that webmail.domain2.com works fine.

Apr 24, 2014I am trying to write a script PHP creating a subdomain on a server when executed (as well as doing other stuff, but that part work). But, when I send my request to the server, the script, while it does create the subdomain, doesn't display anything upon execution (I have put a few echo in the script to check the advancement, and nothing appears).
The error message : Echec du chargement de la page Aucune donnée reçue.

Why it doesn't send anything back ? When I modify the property line in the request, the script displays something, but it also fails at creating the subdomain (because the parameters are incorrect).

Sep 18, 2012I have a client that has a subdomain shop.xxxx.com. This subdomain needs its own SSL and own IP address for it. Right now its listed as a subdomain under xxxx.com. Also, the xxxx.com has another SSL and IP.
Since there doesnt seem to be any way to do this in plesk, I had to create the subdomain as a regular subdomain and then manually manipulate IIS to change the IP and add the ssl mapping.
If I try to add a new domain, it automatically tags it with the WWW.
Is there any way to just create a new domain without the www infront of it, so I can move shop.xxxx.com from a subdomain to a primary domain that stands alone...
I haven't played around much with the new iis 7+, but in older iis, you needed a dedicated IP for each SSL certificate.
Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Fatal Error In Creating Subdomain?
May 1, 2013recently i created a domain subscription with 3 alias domains. Thanafter i created a sub domain to a folder in the main domain. At first all went fine but after deleting the alias domains subdomains ans domain supscrption to register all the 4 domains each seperately a problem accured and i cant add any subdomain to none of the 4 domains. registering the domains themselves as individual domain works for each one perfect. But as soon as i try to add a subdomain on any of that 4 domains i get an error that the dns data could not be updated. As it looks like there is still some codes in the plesk database that links to 4 domains in any kind together and prevents me to creste a subdomain.
How can i manually remove all the domains subdomains and alias domain garbage from the plesk database. I use windows version of plesk panel 11.0.9 on windows 2008 server datacenter edition. I have good skils in IT but im not familiar with mysql and plesk. how to remove the records from plesk Mysql database. Command line commands internal commands locations that have to be altered and all other needed steps.
Main Site Page Display
Oct 6, 2009About the 28th September the host that I was with decided to move servers and did not inform me of this. They tried moving my site and after 18 hours of being offline decided not move my site. It came back offline, only the main page displayed but nothing else works, if you click on anything it goes to 404 page error. Only problem is, the page is displaying data up to 23rd September.
I have a blog and a forum connected and both seem to have lost all the data from the 23rd to 28th September. I have since moved host since the previous host not only did not inform me that they were moving, they didnt even bother taking a backup. I have been with my new host for over a week now so the propogation is definitely complete. Now the problem is whenever I open my blog, it keeps pointing to 23rd September (I have added a lot of posts since then). If I refresh the page, then it will show the latest posts. This is not a problem with the forum though, it works fine.
Wildcard. Main Site Isn't Working

The wildcard is for things like
xxx.domain.com
but not domain.com isn't loading what it used to be it's loading the files that the wildcard load.

Sep 22, 2012I have a problem with my plesk v11, when i create a new subdomain and upload my asp.net application to that and make a request to view my web page it get Server Error 401 :
401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
But my main web site have not any problem and works fine, my changes that didn't work :
1) change in web.config file :
<authentication mode="None">
</authentication>
2) change in web config file :
<authorization>
<allow users="?"/>
</authorization>
Another question that i have is this happens because the Plesk's default permission assigning to the main domain so the users can view content without problem, but the permission isnt assign to the created subdomains ?
If this is the problem, how can i fix it so my users can see the content with our Windows Authentication or Forms authentication or anything else?

and this is my sub domain : nerkh.senatex.ir
Also parallels default host files not have any problems, for example : content.senatex.ir

Shared Hosting To Store Videos + Vps For Main Site

i thought of getting a vps for the site, and just stream videos from the shared hosting server....
the problem would be users uploading videos, is it possible for them to upload files through VPS, and onto the shared host ?

Mar 23, 2015Plesk, for an unknown reason to me, creates an "empty binding" on one specific website every time I make a "hosting change" on that very website (subscription in Plesk terms). What I mean by a "hosting change" is things like enabling/disabling SSL, adding/removing aliases and anything similar that might require Plesk to re-arrange the bindings for that website.
The issue exists only on one of the many websites I am hosting/configuring via Plesk, the others don't have any similar issues.The result of the issue is the given website being stopped by IIS since the "empty binding" is already in use by the "Default Web Site".If I go ahead and delete the empty binding from the given website, I can start the website up again.The Plesk version I am having is 12.0.18 Update #38, which I assume is the latest one.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION : Permissions assigned to the site are getting reveted after creating/updating page via "Web Presence Builder"
STEPS TO REPRODUCE : Login to Plesk > Click on the domain > Launch Web Presence Builder > Upload new page or make any changes in existing page and publish.
ACTUAL RESULT : Please check the attached image
EXPECTED RESULT : There should not be any errors
The site is using IUSR_*****1,but when try to use presence builder ,IUSR_**** is added . We sort this issue by adding IUSER for the particular folder (manually from the server side) but after publishing the page error come again.

I keep a simple site for my art portfolio and some misc files hosted with unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk and Parallels Plesk.
Yesterday I noticed that the site and all its contents give a 404 error, and the home page shows the default page generated by Parallels Plesk Panel. However, all my files are still accessible from ftp and the Panel:
The index.html file is still the same old one as it should be, yet the homepage doesn't show it.
As per the default setup, all the content of the website is in the httpdocs folder, not the root. Though I did try copying the index.html to the root and see if that worked, but it did not. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to web hosting and everything related, so I'm not sure if it's somehow user error or if I should try to contact Parallels.
Here's a history of emails I received from them - notice how the invoices are followed by multiple payment confirmations:
So perhaps cancelling the one payment made them think I wanted to cancel the hosting and the site was taken offline? I don't know.
Moved Site, Subdomain Still Pointing To Old
Sep 6, 2007I just moved my site to point to a new server (changed nameservers) and everything is working fine but a subdomain.
My subdomain links.example.com still points to old site when example.com points to the new site.....
Should I delete that subdomain at the old host?
Should I just be patient?
Should I change nameservers for subdomain at old host?
The subdomain is configured at the new host already.....

Note: Recently migrated from Plesk 9.2
Trying to set Default Site for a Dedicated IP Address.
I go to Subscription, then to domain > Change Hosting Settings, select dedicated IP address and OK, works fine. Site goes to Default Plesk Page.
Go to Tools & Settings, IP Addresses > Select the dedicated IP address I set above. Change Default Site to site above. Click Ok.
I get the error message above and nothing changes.
I looked on my IIS Server and MailEnable's Webmail is installed under the Default Website.
I have another Dedicated IP on this server and it has a default site on it working properly, but it was set up on the old site and it was configured as part of the Migration using Migration Manager.
I tried deleting the IP address and adding it back in. That didn't change anything. I also tried running: "%plesk_bin%websrvmng.exe" –reconfigure-webmail since that came up under someone else's issue when searching the web and that .exe is what's throwing the error.
