tried to get support, no answer. is the service down? anybody else with these problems
I found this great VPS package on WHT (can't post URLs), and couldn't go past it... Configured, paid for.
Admittedly, it is my fault for making the following mistake. Instead of putting in xdomain.NET, I entered xdomain.COM - I'm buying this website, forgive me for not being completely familiar with it yet :p I figured it shouldn't be much of a hassle to switch this over (I'm not really sure, actually?) to what I really wanted, so I opened up a support ticket. And waited. It wasn't on high priority, rather medium. So I expected to wait a couple of days or so, max.
A week later, I closed that ticket and opened another high priority ticket. Payment had cleared (it was an echeque, so did take a little while), and my server still hadn't been setup. A day passes. Jee, a *high* priority ticket not being responded to? It'd be a shame if it was urgent. I sent off an email - because I'm annoyed and frustrated at about this point. I got a response eventually, saying that it was fine to switch from to my .net, and he'd do that for me. Finally, I was making progress, or so I thought. That was 3 days ago, and I've exchanged emails 3 times so far (each taking a day to respond to) and now finally - my server is in a *queue pending activation.*
Bear in mind that this is a pro-rata billing system, so I'm paying for services starting on the 7th (date of subscription) to the end of the month (31st). It's currently the 16th, payment has been clear for a few days now, and my account is on hold, in a queue pending activation.
Can someone enlighten me, as to why I'm still in this queue? Is this regular practice for VPS suppliers?
Few Days back i purchased a VPS from INFINITIE.NET. I thought of writing a Review for them
The Deal comes from their HostingCon July Special offer. Here is what i got
SPECS:
60GB of Storage
1000 GB Premium Bandwidth
512 MB Guaranteed Memory
Dedicated IP: 3
FREE CPanel/WHM VPS
$21.14/Mo. (Including CPanel!)
Now all in a all, this is a AWESOME Deal which averagely goes over 40$ from most hosts Since it comes with VPS optimized, cPanel isnt a Memory Hog aswell and the speeds are great with very less load.
I opted for Phoenix AZ Datacenter and this is a Random Speed Test.

Sales 10/10
Well, this is what liked about this Host, IT ROCKS Actually i was just running some presale queries and Jennifer from Sales team, guided and cleared all my queries. Since they didnt accept Paypal, she guided me all the way in suggesting alternatives since i didnt had a International Credit Card.
Setup 9/10
WOW, it was fast, considering it was a cPanel VPS. Just 10 mins and i had my details right in Live chat which was going on with Sales Agent.
Network 7/10
I had run some speeds test and i get average of 500KBps Speed which is great
Support 8/10
I havent runned into any big issues at the moment. The Small queries i have been answerable via Live Chat which is mostly online
Hardware 9/10
Since the price were quite low, i wasnt expecting very good perfomance to be honest but i was impressed with VPS Benchmark Test i runned on it. It is better than most hosts and doesnt seem to be oversold in any way

FINAL SCORE 122.7
At the end, for the 1/3 price this DEAL Rocks and i am very happy with my VPS and INFINITIE.NET services.
I own and operate a free/paid web-host, Core-Fusion.net. It's changed hands a few times, and it's been through too many server providers (Layered Technologies, ComfortHost.net, Hostgator to name a few). When I acquired CoreFusion, I was a bit nervous on trying to find a decent host to accommodate it's users. After spending some time on WHT (this is really what lead me to creating an account here) I found that Infinitie had posted a deal (120gb hdd vps) for around $30/month. After a google search showed up very few reviews (but positive reviews nonetheless), I decided to grab one before the deal expired. After a bit of testing, and a few day's stability, I canceled with my prior hosting company, and moved CoreFusion to my new VPS.
That was five months ago. I've been a happy customer with Infinitie for five months so far. They've assisted me in fixing problems I caused on my VPS, no matter how in depth the issue was, nor how long it took to fix. The support staff is friendly, fun, and extremely helpful. They're always there when I need them, all my issues are generally resolved within a few minutes. And their prices are amazing... I was able to snatch up a few hot deals through them, but even their everyday prices are competitive.
Infinitie has exceeded my expectations on numerous levels. At first I was iffy, but now I prefer them over any and all past hosts I've ever used. I actually had a great time talking with them over LiveChat the other day, sharing recent experiences with my hosting company, and learning a few things along the way. Jennifer (my support technician) answered all my questions thoroughly, solved my WHM-related issue, contacted cPanel to assist even further, and helped me setup 3 additional servers to the one I currently have. As CoreFusion grows, I know Infinitie will be able to accommodate me with exceptional support and service.
Infinitie.net... The BEST webhosting provider I've ever had the pleasure doing business with. I plan on staying with them for a long time to come.
I currently switched from XXX to infinitie.net vps service. I was tired of foreign help dealing with people with poor english. Tech support has been very good, and good response times. Servers themselves have good performance. Not the fastest, but the mysql performance has been very good. It's also nice to have a VPS but setup and stuff can be somewhat intimidating. They were very helpful, but I did opt to pay them a small fee to do it for me. The hourly rates aren't a bargain, but when you factor in the time you would need to do it right, if you are just so-so at it, then it was probably worth it.
So far it's only a week, but it's been a happy week. No downtime at all so far. I'll report to you in a month and tell you how things are going.
I bought a shared linux plan from Infinitie networks last month. Since then I've been trying to contact their support for a few clarifications, but never got any responses so far.
They have a live chat on their site which is not working now. It was working before when I evaluated the service
I've mailed to their support mail id quite a few times. every time i get an automated response saying my ticket was received. that's it no further response.
I took the pain of creating an account in their online community forums and posted my grievances there. No one seems to be bothered.
These guys dont have a support contact number on their site. I really dont know how to reach them now
Any of you guys here had any similar experiences with Infinitie networks?
So after taking advantage of their $19.99 VPS special (60GB/600GB + cPanel/WHM) I was having problems right off the bat. Instead of going into detail for each of my issues and the pain it caused me to get them resolved I'll just touch on some key points of things they really need to look into changing:
1. Support. Yes, I know I'm not paying extra for their priority support, but as of the time I am typing this thread my VPS has been offline for over 4 hours (unable to ping and HyperVM will not let me login). I've sent an e-mail to their "Emergency Support" e-mail and opened a support ticket but with no answer from either.
The worst part about their support setup is that they list on their website that they give clients an option of paying a per ticket fee for enhanced support, but in their support ticket system they neglect to make that option available so even paying for per ticket support isn't able to be done either.
2. Website. I have never seen a business website so filled with incorrect links, missing images, and non-working scripts. Their site throws more 404 errors than it has working links. It's painful to navigate and trying to locate anything is based more luck than anything. Their navigation bar changes the links based on location (main site, forum, or client area). All in all, had their thread listing the special brought me to their homepage instead of directly to the VPS special page I would have closed my browser before signing up.
3. Billing. Not really a big problem but I got my latest invoice for the 31st and found the total to be $23.49 instead of the $19.99 I've been paying. I opened a ticket about it 3 days ago (48-72 hour SLA? Right...) and nobody has yet to address that issue.
I had attempted to cancel my account earlier but one of their staff convinced me to reconsider and even moved my VPS to a server that didn't have the CPU pegged to 100%.
But now with the 4+ hour downtime and no response from their "24/7" support, I just can't cancel my account fast enough. I don't care about a refund or my data on the server; I'll gladly give it all up to be done with them.
I'm not going to make this thread a complete rant so here are some of the positive things I can say about them:
The one glimmer of hope that was offered to me was one of their staff members, JasonS, who provided me with proof that somebody on the other end of the line had a pulse, albeit that somebody was unable to help me out.
Yup, that's the only positive thing I can think of. I guess the price wasn't to bad for what was offered, if only what was offered was what you actually received.
On the brightside, I have since moved to GeekStorage.com and couldn't be happier with their level of service and professionalism!
I signed up with service from infinitie.net after seeing an offer they had on this link [url]
This was on July 21st about 8PM EST. Link above states "PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 2 HOURS FOR YOUR NEW VPS ACCOUNT ACTIVATE ONCE ORDERED."
First reply took 8hrs, second 9hrs, third 5hrs, and to this date I haven't heard back from them since Jul 23, 2007 2:32 PM EST.
Incomplete login details were issued on Jul 23, 2007 2:32 PM EST. However, message stated "CPanel is finalizing its install and will be complete in 2 hours." I immediately asked them to please advise when setup is complete on Jul 23, 2007 2:56 PM EST. After not hearing anything back I decided to cancel and emailed request at Jul 24, 2007 2:54 PM EST.
I have a couple services I'm happy with elsewhere. I more or less just wanted to separate an account and see what other options were out there. I wasn't bothered by the fact setup was slow. The main issue was if they take this long to reply and handle simple issues prior to setup, what happens if I'm setup one day and there is a more serious issue? Since initial cancel request I attempted to contact them on several other occasions by both direct email and their ticket system. I never received a response other then the standard automatic "Thank you for writing to Infinitie's Support Team."
I have disputed transaction with paypal today. At a last attempt I emailed infinitie.net yesterday and told them unless refund was issued this is action I would be forced to take. No response so I proceeded. I will update and let you all know how this turns out.
Anybody ever use Infinite.net before? I was under the impression that they have 24/7 support but it's been 28 hours and have yet to see any signs of life on their end.
When I was submitting pre-sales tickets I would get a reply in 9 minutes.
And when I first opened my support ticket I received a reply in about 50 minutes telling me to contact cPanel to setup a Reverse DNS record for their server ().
Now I'm sitting close to the 29 hour mark and they have still failed to add a trailing dot to my PTR record which is preventing my main ISP e-mail from receiving any system generated e-mails.
I've only been a customer for 4 days so I have time to get my refund, but I was wondering what kind of experience others have had with them before I do yet another host move...
