Error Establishing A Database Connection

Why does this happen? How should I fix it? Can I just restart the sql service? How to do so?
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host.

I just tested the WP creation feature of PP12 and I get the following error when I attempt to view the newly created CMS...
"Error establishing a database connection"
If I navigate to the database page and click webadmin, I can connect and see the WP database created. Everything works in phpMyAdmin.
Going to ../wordpress/wp_login.php returns the error.

I am developing an application on a load balanced network.
It is configured as follows:
Webserver1, Webserver 2 (Fedora 5 - Linux, Apache, Zend Opt, PHP)
and a DataBase Server (MySQL)
When the webserver attempt to use the Database server the connections and page output are REALLY slow!
The database server is within the webservers local intranet - so I thought it would be a lot faster.

I've just built a new LAMP server and I'm having a little issue where Apache doesn't serve a simple non-database webpage, instead, I get an error on all my virtual-host in the browser: Database Error: Unable to connect to the Database: Could not connect to MySQL.
I've googled the problem but since the error mentions MySql, everything I find is related to connecting to MySql, which I'm not trying to connect... and I've contacted my Linux mentor about this issue... This is something I've never seen before... don't know why Apache thinks I'm trying connect to MySQL on every browser call to the server...
However, MySQL is accessible via telnet, and all my permissions are correct...

mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file

I just design websites on the side. I've done about 10 or so and have ended up hosting them on my shared hostgator account as addon domains. I've decided to leave my current "day job" and want to try to pick up a few more web jobs in the interim.
I want to stop putting more websites in my shared account, I don't want to be a reseller and I want to be able to direct people to a host where they would get good customer service for hosting and email issues. I thought it would be nice to establish a relationship with a reseller to whom I could refer my web design clients. Ideally, it would be someone that's local (Twin Cities, MN) and I could meet in person to see if we'd work together well.
Do others do this? Does it seem to make sense to do this?
Another option would be to refer directly to hostgator. I've been happy with them but I haven't needed much in the way of customer service. Do they work well with hosting clients who don't know anything about hosting?
At some point I might want to be a reseller, but right now I want to concentrate on design and learning some new things (CMS is the next thing on my plate).

I freshly installed Plesk 12.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. Everything works accept the MySQL database creation.
When I try to create one, i get this error :
error: the test connection to the database server has failed because of network problems: connection refused...

When i try and connect to my server via SSH it replys with an error saying;

stdin: is not a tty
My host's knowledge base says to click "Fix Centos Dev" but this doesn't work...

I have a vb forum that keep sending me email errors: max_user_connections. I've increased the setting in my.cnf to 2000 (max allowance) and still getting error.
What's possibly are the other reasons? Anyone has any idea?

I have two servers (one for apache and one for SQL) where both are in the same DC. I looked at the BW graph and saw that the SQL server has pulled approx 4TB BW on the internet the last 30 days.
Since both are in the same DC, it would be better to run it via the network since it has free lan traffic compared to wasting a lot of "internet BW".
I'm currently using sqlservername.domain.com in the SQL connection string, but when I tried with the IP, the php script stalls for 30 seconds and then reports: "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'hostname' (4)".
Could this be a iptables issue? I also tried to add the apache IP in the "Additional MySQL Access Hosts" from cPanel, but that didn't help much.
Servers:
Apache - 10.1.0.xxx
SQL - 10.1.1.xxx
If I'm not mistaken, if the subnet isn't set to 255.255.255.0, both servers should be within range.

I have a problem to send email using qmail to 1 company.
eg : mail@mycompany.com to mail@companytwo.com
The problem happen just when i send email to this companytwo only....
when i run this command to check
tail -f /var/log/qmail/send/current
i found this error appear 'Sorry,_I_wasn't_able_to_establish_an_SMTP_connection'
How to i fix this problem....

The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
I'm not sure on how to fix this. Running CPanel.
I can access WHM/CPanel fine on SSL from the main IP. Just not any of the sites or CPanel from the other IPs.

We are hosting a Git server (using Gitolite v3). Our users are interacting with git over an https connection. Here's the relevant versions of software:
Apache 2.4.6
OpenSSL 1.0.1e-fips
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.5 (Santiago)
git version 1.8.5.3 (Server Side)
git version 1.9.2.msysgit.0 (Client Side)
Users sometimes encounter an SSL error message when attempting to run git commands that talk to the server (e.g. clone, push, pull). The error message is "Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to servername:443". Users can usually simply try the command again, and it will then work successfully.
I've managed to capture a bit more output by setting the GIT_CURL_VERBOSE flag, see output below.

I just configured the plesk server to only allow ftps connections.
When I try to access with a ftp account on the server itself it works well, however when I try to access it from a client PC it get these errors :

Command: PASV
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (XXX,XXX,XX,XX,XXX,XX).
Command: LIST
Response: 150 Opening BINARY mode data connection.
Error: The data connection could not be established: ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server
On the client PC I configured Filezilla in Passive mode with "Require explicit FTP over TLS".
Normally for the firewall only the port 21 is needed or am I wrong (with explicit FTP and passif configured)?

I have a client with a dedicated server running. Spec below.
The problem I am having is with incoming email. When I set up a new email account it can take about 10 attempts to log on to the incoming mail server. Once it has connected it will be ok for a short while then I will get a connection error and no emails will come through.
This is happening across all platforms, PC / MAC / iPhone and iPad.
I am a web designer with limited knowledge of the setting up of the server and was looking to set up email server within plesk.
