Don't recommend those backup services like BQ. I can get a whole server for cheaper than their prices.

We've looked into the cheapest (server4you, serverpront) but their cheapest servers can't be customized.
As we are looking for cheapest solutions we are going to have a copy of this backup on another (cheap) DC. So we need 2 cheap places.

The best plan that I've found with these specs is the Serveraxis VS000.5G-0050.0GM: 512MB RAM, 50GB disk, 400GB/month, 35$/month.
Is there something better? (more storage for the same price or same storage for a minor price)
I'm setting up a new VPS, and I'm curious what services people use for offsite backups.
I'm not even really sure what types of options are out there. For my purposes, just setting up some cron jobs to do an rsync to another server would be sufficient. I only need 10GB of backup space.
What services have you all used, and what's been your experience with them?
This is probably a dumb question, but I've been curious about something. While shopping around for either a cheap dedicated server (less than $75/mo) or a cheap colo for a 1u server, I have noticed that the cheap dedicated servers are often less than a cheap colo, which seems odd to me since with a colo you bring your own machine.
For example, Sago Networks has cheap dedicateds for $50, $59, $79 etc. yet their cheapest colo option is $99. For Sago's $50 dedicated you get 1000GB transfer and 2 IP's, and with their $99 colo you get only get 100 GB transfer and 1 IP.
And Sago is not unusual in this respect. I've priced other providers that fall into this category and they have similar differences.
So why is colo more expensive than dedicated for similar, if not lower, features?
I've been developing a small 2D MMORPG lately. I bought a VPS to run the server on a few days ago and sadly it doesn't work so well. Sometimes the loads go pretty high (afaik not caused by me) and MySQL freezes, causing the server to just wait for MySQL to unlock, hanging all the players around on the map. Not a good thing.
Anyway, the game is very small scale, and I'm not planning to have more than maybe 30-50 players online. It does not suck up much CPU, I had ~10 guys online and loads stayed down at 0.00 on the VPS box.
Problem with getting a dedicated is our very low budget. As I'm still underage and living at home hammering my pc and don't have any real incomes, we're talking numbers like $ 30 - $ 50 USD per month - it's really hard to find for that price in Europe.
Requirements:
Monthly payment, $ 30 - $ 50 / month, no setup (or very small setup, like $ 20)
10Mbit/s or faster connection, 100GB traffic should do
500MHz CPU is all cool
512MB or more RAM
5GB diskspace is enough
Has to be in Europe due to ping times (< 100ms)

It costs me $5 a month, I installed mysql, apache, tomcat and they have been running smoothly with this VPS instance. To get a similar plan, it could cost at least $30 a month from other big providers like 1and1 and godaddy. Also their support is timely and very helpful.

I currently have a decent server that runs around 10 websites, but 1 of those sites contributes around 99% of the total traffic. This large site is being moved onto a new server, leaving the remaining 9 sites rattling around on this big (and expensive!) server.
So, I am now looking for a smaller server to handle the other smaller sites. They get minimal traffic - around 5k uniques a day.
cheap dedicated server for remote backups with at least 200GB hard drive and 100Mbps up/down connection and 1000GB transfer. It would be the best to be in US, but it can also be in Europe if speed from US can be at least 60Mbps.
The best I found is Hetzner (49 eur), but they are in Europe and they have a 99 eur setup fee which is too much for me.
It would be great that it's even cheaper than this, because this Hetzner server have a dual core AMD 5600+ CPU, 2x400GB HDD and 2GB of RAM, so because I don't need all that I was hoping to find even cheaper Celeron or Sempron with 200GB HDD and 512MB or 1GB of RAM in US.
I currently have godaddy dedicated server and the 100mbps connection is shared with other servers, and I pay about $120 a month. I normally get an average of 30mbps out of it. Do you guys know of any cheap hosting companies that offer dedicated servers with a 1Gbps shared connection? And the main point I'm trying to get to is, do you guys know of any web hosts that would be faster than an average of 30mbps, even if they're only 100mbps shared connections? I'd really appreciate any potential hosts you guys can direct me to that are pretty fast.

I saw WebNX special offers between 2-300 dollars for 32GB machines, now that's more like it but, I cant really rely on special offers on the long run.

- Good reliability, doesn't mean i want a 99% uptime guarantee, but something that doesn't have too many problems
