If so, what do you think of their service/reliability. I see they have neither a live support or phone number or maybe I missed it, so what do you think of their response time and support?
Also, those who have heard things are welcome to post too even if you haven't used their service.
I'm using Microsoft VPS 2005 for my business. Who can help me about VPS managerment?
I have found some hosting companies are using Plesh VPS, CPanel VPS. But, i want to use Microsoft VPS to provide a Share Server service to my customers.
However, i cannt find any VPS manage in Microsoft VPS. How should i do to manage it when i have installed Microsoft VPS.
I have one domain from one very small country for example - mydomain.xxx . The problem is that this domain doesn’t have DNS management with its registrar.
But I need to create web portal (like yahoo but small) and I need to do these: mydomain.xxx put on IP 111.111.111.111 news.mydomain.xxx put on IP 222.222.222.222 shopping.mydomain.xxx put on IP 333.333.333.333 game.mydomain.xxx put on IP 444.444.444.444 sport. mydomain.xxx put on IP 555.555.555.555 music. mydomain.xxx put on IP 777.777.777.777
Now my question:
Can cPanel do this DNS management? If yes, how cPanal do it?
What other control panel than cPanel can do this DNS management better?
Can I do this type of DNS management with share hosting or must I have reseller hosting, VPS or Dedicated Server?
Additionally to above questions, what free DNS management service like zoneedit.com, easydns.com, dnsexit.com, everydns.com, etc. is better for this purpose ?
I have some servers and I need them because of the type of applications I host, but with all honesty, I have to say that I don't even closely have enough knowledge to troubleshoot Apache, MySQL, PHP, Linux, etc... issues when they arise.
I could get managed servers, but they cost a fortune compared to the self-managed ones and I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend that type of money in order to have someone else look after my servers. In fact...it will be great to know exactly what is going on with my own servers.
So...in short, the question is. How do I learn more? Do you know of any good blogs, forums, newsletters or anything related where I can read more about server management in general on a daily basis? Just about anything related to remote, dedicated linux servers.
I've learnt a large amount in a short time already, but I feel that I need to pick up the pace and put more effort into gaining more knowledge. Please help me by suggesting some resources.
I am looking for access to a specific environment and I thought i'd put it out there and ask y'alls if you have seen a good way to achieve or a reseller that would let you...
a. Use whmcs to auto create accounts (yes, ino, very likely in most cases)
b. Manage all the accounts from a user that has access to all the webroots.
Im looking for a setup that lets me autocreate an account so a user has access but lets me use dreamweaver to manage all the sites in one session. I've found either or, but not together.
I thought about buying an instance of cpanel or lxadmin but im tentative to move away from a guaranteed uptime and backup solution that comes with a reseller environment.
I have a apache server, and i'd love to find a way to be able to upload files to my server, allowing me to view the files on my server or in a folder, allowing me to download these files, edit them and re-upload them, replacing them such as files like word documents. I want it to be web-based as i'll be using it for school work, so i can upload them.
- Webserver for member to download which is using user/pass from .htpasswd to allow anybody can see file or download.
What i need: - any software(code) can show me who log in and when, how much they download, how many time did they login. ---> this to prevent account from to be shared between many people.
- some sort of tool or software can allow me to add new user/pass quick since i am manuallly adding new username/password encrypted to .htpasswd file.
what software to use( or to buy if not so exspensive).
I just upgrated from Plesk 11 to Plesk 12 and now it looks like my admin account is not admin anymore. I can only see the domains that is subscribed to my username.
Is that normal? How can I see all subscriptions now?
We have serveral vps servers from dmehosting.com. I would say never choose dmehosting.com for your sites. A vps server is down for more than 14 hours and still down. They do not reply to my tickets. They do not inform about the issues.
I had have many issues with them like 1 - 2 hours downtime but that's not really matter.
Now the server is down for more than 14 hours and still not up. I have even asked them to transfer this vps server to another working node but they are not responding.
DON'T CHOOSE DME HOSTING .COM FOR VPS SERVERS........IF YOU NEED HIGH UPTIME AND SECURE DATA.
how to handle the file storage of a youtube clone?
Is it just a matter of getting more servers with a few hdds or are there specialized companies that one can upload files over a distributed file streaming network?
The reason I ask is because I have thousands of gigabytes of videos and it appears to be impossible to upload it on 1 dedicated server or even a few.
I installed Route 53 extension to manage a slave DNS server but when a add or remove some domain the process does not complete, Plesk stays loading without finish domain creation.
When I disable the extension, Plesk create and remove domains without any problem.
