even i can move named folder if some one guide how to move and change the path in conf because i dont no the location of conf files etc
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS and Plesk 12.0.18 - update 38. Since i have reinstalled 3 servers, i don't have imap connection possible in some case.
- When i connect from a Thunderbird, it works only if it's not secure : any attempt with ssl is refused.
- When i try to use a smartphone with the same working config done in Thunderbird, i canno't log whatever i do to find something working on the smartphone (note : it's works with pop)
- Horde refuse all users. If i switch to Roundcube, all works...
There is something wrong : i search the web, the forum, for 14 days now, without success. I tried many thing from the KB...no success either.
Have some very important questions regarding changing plesk ports and creating full backups.
1. When changing plesks port number, what exactly will it effect? Will it effect auto updates, etc.?
2. When creating a backup, I'd like to backup the entire server to rollback at anytime when changes are made to core files, is this possible?
3. With backups, somehow I'd like to schedule backups to possibly make nightly copies to an external hard drive on my computer for a fail safe method just in case the server happens to crash and I'd need to restore to another server/service. How would this be possible?
So I was trying to look up something from the horde Databases just to find that the full server backup that can be triggered in "tools & settings" -> "backup manager" does NOT include the horde and roundcube databases, even with "configuration and content" selected.
Sure, there are 7 days worth of daily backups in /var/lib/dumps but it would be nice to have those files included in the "full backup" Or am I missing something here?
Would like to know what are the dangers of backing up and restoring full entire system backups (with plesk installed) to another server with a different ip address? Will the restored plesk setup operate properly and offer an ip address change in the system, or will there be any pre-requisites required such as manual ip changing within the system core files?
I'm wondering whether it is possible to perform a full server migration to a new Plesk server with the same hostname or will Plesk give an error about the hostname being the same?
The new server would not be accessible by hostname (only via IP) until DNS and glue records were changed after the migration.
Code: root@host [/tmp]# df Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda5 10153988 406444 9223428 5% / /dev/sda8 1019208 900620 65980 94% /tmp how is that possible ls -hl shows thats the space used is 92kb while df shows 65980 94% for /tmp
I really need some help here. My /usr directory on my server is 95% full. Is there any change that I could change a space limit for this partition without OS reload? And if there is, how to do it?
Today I had MySQL and Exim both blow up on me. After some panicking I noticed that the /var directory was 100% full. I cleared out some old logs and got the server back up and running.
I wanted to ask you all how can I
a) identify what is taking up all the space
b) is there anything off the top of your head that I can safely delete?
The drive is 9GB so something other than just log files is filling it up.
/var seems to be almost full but the server has only been up a couple of days. Note that the only file that seems large is /named/chroot/proc/kcore but that is not really supposed to take any disk space ... it obviously is. Does anybody know what I should do to free up space here?
Once ago you people solved my problem, now once again i am here to get some suggestion from you since i could not find anyone else for help.
I have another server (Which is not under Your Management subscription), its /tmp DRIVE is 100% full.
I have 2 scripts which are same as "RapidShare.de or megaupload" FREE FILE HoSTING scripts... they use space in /tmp my /tmp is 496 Mb.
Because its full 100% so files are no more uploadable via scripts. So my scripts are not funsctioning at the moment.
So i thought to get a suggestion from you people
is that possible to increase the size of /tmp ? like to 20 GB etc or if NOT than could you please tell how to empty /tmp folder (coz i think all files in /tmp used by SCRIPTS are USELESS after the USER uploads or downloads the data.) so could you please suggest..
I have 10 GB partition and we have mount /var direcotry and now it has been full 97% what can i do and how to manage it and i have no other option because no other space is available to create new partition and mount there.

I have a site with a lot of data (almost 20-30gigs). I want to pkgacct the site to transfer to another server but the harddisk gets full and the pkgacct stops working.
Which files and folders can I delete on the server without touching critical CPanel files? I want to delete as many as folders so that I can have enough space for the packaging process.
to start putting some more machines into Chicago. Currently we are only using leased machines there, so I haven't had to deal with any Chicago based colo yet.
The scenario that I'm faced with is that SteadFast only has room for current customers, and unfortunately we aren't one yet.
I have the opportunity to put my machines into the Looking Glass/Layer3 DC, at what I believe to be a fairly reasonable price ($110 / 3Mbps per 1u) with a company who I've been doing business with now for a while. Does anyone have experience in working with that center?
For those of you deal with with DC's in Chicago, who would you recommend I look at as an alternative? I have come up with names like: FDCServers; Server Central; CHI Networks; Fast Servers; GigeEnet. But based on what I'm reading, I don't really come away with a good indication of who is second in the pecking order with SteadFast.
how do i get all the current dns values for a domain name? i have tried using 'dig domain any' and get varied results. the first time it is as if i ran 'dig domain a' I then run 'dig domain mx' and see the mx records. an issue of 'any' then shows the mx records so far i have to run dig with every record type. what is another way to get all the dns values for a domain name?
