I’m using wimply player integrated in a frame in vbulletin. For some very strange reason, if someone types something in the chat (right frame) the music shuts off immediately, then turns back on once the typing has stopped. This is very odd. How can this be fixed?
Let me first define what I call the "buffer meter". Its the red bar on Youtube which you can see after you scrub ahead on a clip which have not yet loaded 100%.
Im working at time with ffserver ... i test ffmpeg with flash streaming and it works perfectly but i want to do anoter step.
Im trying to do a streaming of a file to watch that movie in Windows Media Player. The problem is that i have a lot of errors of "buffer underflow" when i stream the video.

I have been looking to talk to BurstNET reps about a possible purchase (gunna attempt to maybe negotiate a deal - trying to choose between VolumeDrive and BurstNET) but I have yet to find their chat to be online in the past week or so; I have checked during all hours of the day (meaning at different times of the day... not literally every single hour).
Furthermore I tried dropping their sales an email but have not got any sort of response yet (albeit its only been over a day but not even a confirmation or anything).
I will probably try to drop them an email again but was just wondering if anyone has ever had a live chat w/ BurstNET reps before?
I need one VPS for irc , i want run one ircd leaf and some eggdrop's/psybncs for a simple project to help one irc network on my country , can you give me some help to choose the best service ?
I need some, like this :
- 1 or 2 GB Disk Space - 128 MB Ram - IRC ALLOWED - IP's 2 - No needed cpanels and management .
How important is this from a customer standpoint? Assuming ticket response times are under 1 hour, is Live support something that customers really want? I'm considering adding it as a support option, but want to weigh whether or not its worth it. <<Please setup signature in Member Control Panel>>
I am planning to implement a chat software for our team.
We are currently using AIM. But, we have planned to install any software which works like AIM but it should be controlled by us.
Only, we can add or remove users. Only, we can see the chats done. To be frank, I need a software like AIM installed on a server which should be controlled by me.
We run an IRC bot service which interacts with our websites database, but currently the server does not support outgoing IRC connections.
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good, stable host.
It simply needs to have SSH, PHP, and support outgoing IRC connections of course
It will be connecting to a remote SQL server, so SQL is not needed. I'm unsure about how much bandwidth I need, I'm sure its little to none. 50MB would probably suffice on webspace.
I am looking to have an IRC chat room on one of my sites. My question is, can i get a hosting package where i am allowed to have this chat room set up?
Please let me know the costs, and what comes with the package if so.
Cheap windows VPS With port 6667 allowed to be used (IRC)
I will be using this VPS for a IRC rebort www.mirc.com
It is impossible to get DDoSed by running this sort of robot on the network im going to be running it on... Bigpond.com (Australias largest ISP)
SO
3GB HDD (If less or more will be needed tell me..... the bot I want to run is about 20mbs ) 256mb ram(?) If less will do, tell me. Windows 2000 or what ever. ....
I'm looking for a VPS anywhere but in the US, and preferably in EU. It must allow IRC and have over 128mb RAM. Bandwidth isn't a problem, 5-10GB is plenty. IPv6 (doesn't need to be native) is a must, so I am looking at Xen systems.
Looking for IRC allowed VPS, with very few IPs (only 8-16), must be RDNS delegated. SWIP is optional but a plus.
Zero ddos risk - plan on mainly doing hosting, but want to run a few clients. BW as much as possible [almost all outbound], disk maybe 10-15GB, IPv6 is a plus.
RAM something comfortable, 300-600MB, nonoversold, no control panel, unmanaged, no "stupid question" tickets will be sent
ES(X|Xi) or Xen - NO VZ!!!!! Max cap around $10-30/m USD
I currently have two servers with vaserve, one under the a2b2 brand and the other under the EpicVPS brand, which I am very happy with, but they don't allow the hosting of IRC or bots in any way.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a (very) low cost (very) low spec plan that would allow me to host a single IRC bot. I'm looking for something around 64mb ram, and whatever disk/bandwidth you think would be enough for the bot.
Alright we just bought a new customer aboard with a ChatBox on the site it seems as if this chatbox is causing higher load we went from 0.00 to 0.68-1.12 now this happened on our old server before too with another chatbox. They use vBulletin any ideas as to what would be causing this?
I tried to post this request before but my post got deleted ( I think because I was new to this forum ) hopefully this time it will get posted.
I bought a flash live chat script which require a dedicated server as they say in the script requirements but I know it would work using a VPS with root access..
The script can run on both Linux and Windows OS and needs red5 and java
according to the script designers such site with about 100 users can use about 500GB of data transfer per month but I am not sure if that is true or not as I haven't had the chance to test it.
I am donating all the expenses as a gift for my church community and looking for help and advise on the best way to host it
Not sure if I can post the name of the script here or not but if I am allowed I will do that, so you guys can see exactly what I need
Anyone know about these scripts and how much bandwidth and data they need to run lets say with 200 users
what good support company could provide support also via chat to get issues resolved..
Most are ticket based and chat is for very basic issues..
What we need is get support on board, dialogue between issues to resolve the problem asap instead of waiting for email for a problem that could be resolved in a few minutes.
Any ideas who offers this type of service with well qualified engineers behind the chat team?
Requirements:32 of RAM typical usage; enough burst to run gcc to compile IRCd
No control panel required Linux or BSD Not much disk space required aside from OS install (1-2GB?) Enough CPU to run UnrealIRCd with approximately 20-30 users on a private network. Typical bandwidth usage 1GB. Would like perhaps 2-5GB just in case. Budget approximately $10 a month Canada/USA based Self managed Reliable network and server Only need 1 IP
Will not be running any httpd or such, only IRCd and a BNC process.
Is this too much to ask for at this price point?I have tried some providers, they failed at #5 and #10.
I am not the brightest when it comes to IRC. Ideally we want to create a "Chat Room" for our website members. We only need one room, so I am thinking a whole server is over kill However I am interested in knowing if not requiring a whole server, is there a service perhaps that allows us to have our own branded irc channel, IE: irc.ourwebsite.com ?
I am only thinking IRC as we want our users to use the web based interface, and there is a plethora of these that can run through a java applet to the IRC channel. Or are there better solutions?
I am open to suggestions, we are only looking to have about 30 people in the chat room.
I am currently using a VPSland windows 2003 vps, and noticed that on IRC, (via mIRC), i can't really connect to irc ports such as 6667, etc, but i can connect through other uncommon ports like 8080, or BNC ports. Does anybody know how to enable those irc ports on the windows vps?
