Unrouteable Mail Domain Everytime I Send Out Email
My mail server suddenly went into chaos. Everytime I send out an email it
retruns me back an email automatically telling me example:
"unrouteable mail domain "gmail.com".
"unrouteable mail domain "yahoo.com".
Etc.
I try to reinstall exim
#/scripts/exim4 --force
I even reboot the server but nothing works.

I have started facing this problem on my cpanel server recently... I cannot send any mail from the server.. through webmail/outlook/php-scrpts etc.. every time mail returns with the message... unrouteable mail domain "gmail.com" I have checked solutions given in some other threads.. but those doesnt seem to work in my case.. I have checked dig gmail.com and dig mx gmail.com from shell.. its resolving properly.. What could be the error?

Cannot Send Email Through Squirrel Mail
I have a dedicated server with godaddy and it has squirrel mail/sendmail/dovecot etc installed on it. I am able to log-in to squirrel mail but when I try to send email, it fails. Even it's not able to receive email. I restarted sendmail but it still does not works. I tried to send email through command line but it does not work either. My Mail Server Will Not Receive Or Send Email
Here is what happened: We have been running our web/ftp/application/mail server for about 4 years, and running flawlessly. This week one of the computers in the network was infected with a virus that was sending spam like crazy. We got blacklisted, as per this site mxtoolbox.com. Our domain is affordablerto.net. Since then we have isolated the problem, klilled the virus and are no longer blacklisted. But we are not able to send or receive any emails now. I wrote mxtoolbox and there reply was basicly "We can get you up and running if you pay us". I called our ISP and they stated that the ports(25) are open. When I do an smtp diagnostic from mxtoolbox I get the response that Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero. When I go to dnsreport and input our mail server (mail.affordablerto.net) I get ERROR: The parent servers say that the domain mail.affordablerto.net does not have any NS records (although they may have some other information on that zone). When I put in our mail server under mail test I get this Getting MX record for mail.affordablerto.net (from local DNS server, may be cached)... There is no MX record for mail.affordablerto.net! That's bad. Checking for an A record... Got it! When I put in our domain I get this...well I can not put a link in yet - the software here says I need to take 5 posts before I can link anything. Go ahead and try it yourself. I am not sure what most of this information means. I am in contact with our DNS provider and they keep on trying to sell me some solution. So does mxtoolbox. I don't know what to do.

Sendmail Can Not Send Email To Local Domain
suppose my domain is mydomain.com, my sendmail may send email to any domain name except local domain, say, sendmail may send email to hotmail, yahoo or any other domain name, but when send email to emailbox under mydomain.com, sendmail log will say domain not found. My situation is my server does not have DNS service, my DNS service is outsourced, and MX record also is outsourced.

How To Stop Spammers From Using Your Domain/email To Send Out Spam?
I've been getting a lot of "Undeliverable" emails sent to my email address. On these messages, the spammer is using my email on the "From" part of the email...... So whenever he sends out spam, the person(s) getting spammed think it's from me..... And the thousands of Undeliverable email error messages are also sent to me. Is there a way to stop this from Happening? ....... Besides changing my email address?

2 Email Addresses On The Same Domain But Using Different Mail Servers
I'm trying to see if it's possible to have 2 email addresses on the same domain (e.g. email1@domain.com and email2@domain.com) but are handled by 2 different email servers (e.g. mail.domain1.com and mail.domain2.com)? To put it into context, I have a domain hosted on my dedicated server and a couple of email accounts set up on it. I also have another mail account set up on a different server but with the same domain. I was wondering if maybe something could be done with the DNS to allow the 'external' mail account to be handled by the other server?

Mail Server / Can't Send Or Receive Mail
In webmail, when a person trys to send an email they get this error: Message not sent. Server replied: Requested action aborted: error in processing 451 Temporary local problem - please try later We have tried all the mail processing apps on Webmail (horde/squirrel/roundcube) and all of them seem to do the same thing. We have restart exim and that doesn't do anything either. I tried searching Google, but I didn't find too much luck there.

Send Mail From A Different IP Other Than Server IP
I own a dedicated server with a few IP addresses. When one of my domains (My-Domain.com) which has a dedicated IP, sent out mail through phpmailer, the mail header tells that the mail originates from my server main IP address. How can I make My-Domain.com send mail from the assigned dedicated IP address, not the server main IP address? I have set this because Yahoo thinks I am a spammer.

User Can't Send Mail
an user reports he can't send email. (cpanel/exim/csf) 451 - The server has reached its limit for processing requests from your host I checked his IP address and there are no connections coming from his IP address to port 25, I switched the connection on the client to port 26 and it worked. But there are a lot of users on his IP address so changing the port on every computer is not reasonable.

DNS - Can't Send Mail To Myself
I have a dedicated box, and our e-mail is handled through Gmail. There is a contact form on our website, that customers fill out, and it e-mails us with the response. I've noticed, however, that we never get the message. After some testing, it seems our server sends message to other domains just fine, but not to itself.... I've added the appropriate MX records with our DNS provider, and also in the /var/named/domain1.com.db file. Any clue as to why it still can't send messages to this domain? I'd more than happy to provide any other pertinent info!

New VPS Server, Can't Send Mail To Myself
I just moved my site into a new VPS account, and I found out that my email scripts were all down. Sort of. I can send outbound email to external email accounts through php scripts, outlook, webmail, etc. However, if I try to send email from something@mydomain.com to anothersomething@mydomain.com, nothing happens. anyone know why I can't email any of my own accounts on the same domain? I'm sure it has something to do with configuring this new VPS account, but I just don't know what.

Not Able To Send Mail From PHP Form
We have windows 2003 with Mail-Enable mail server. We have PHP 4 and PHP 5 on the server too. From one of the PHP mail sending script we are not able to send the mails. currently we cannot see the logs for mail sending from PHP form in the mail-enable logs. Also when we trytelnet domain.com 25 it give the correct result. there is no connectivity between the php and mail-enable on the server. But mails are working fine from the webmail, but they are not working from the php. how to enable the logs for php mailing sending in mail logs so that we can see it. Also please tell us how we can configure PHP and mail-enable both together so that mails will work fine from PHP script.

Cannot Send Mail From Hosting Account Over Qwest
For years we have been able to send and receive through our web sites using Qwest and then a few weeks ago it stopped working for sending completely. I checked the usual things like port 25; I changed the outbound mail address to smtp.live.com per their instructions. Nothing. Now that Qwest is MSN it just doesn't work and their offshore "support" is worthless. This happens using Windows XP Pro and Vista.

Exim: Unable To Send Mail W/ New Users
I installed exim and have been able to successfully use it as an smtp server. My test setup was as follows: email client uses smtp.MYSERVER.com, my login, and password The email is successfully forwarded to the appropriate recipient. However, when I create a new user, and test it's email capabilities, it does not work. I get a 535 error: 535 Incorrect authentication data I have double checked the login and password, and I've tried this on multiple accounts. Is there an issue with how I'm creating the users? It seems as hotmail gets the email, and then decides it's no good. Send LOTS Of Email
We are running an application on IIS that sends out 4-500 emails per day via a smarthost, but nearly 11,000 every weekend. None of this is bulk mail... We need a new smarthost provider ASAP, as our current host is discontinuing this service this week, and we were just notified.

I Don't Wanna Send Email
I currently have a vps, just name it myvps.com (not subname.myvps.com). I wanna send email to somename@myvps.com from php php with sendmail function always try to send to user 'someone' on this vps that doesn't exist, junk the root user mail with mailer-daemon explaining that no such 'someone' user. I want to route it to another server.

Send Mail Error Impeding Our Site Launch
So yesterday my team completed our website. Everything uploaded perfectly and works without a hitch except send mail. When someone registers on our forum or registers on the main site they are send an e-mail validation, standard procedure. However the e-mails do not get through! It looks like every email provider is filtering out some part of the email. I don't know whether it's the domain, ip, subject/message contents. Please take a look for yourself. We are using an offshore server in the Netherlands. The only email provider that would even accept our e-mails so far has been Gmail and Gmail automatically thought it was spam. We have tried our scripts on a US host (1and1.com) and they e-mail to any email provider no problem. So I don't know for sure what's going on. I think someone has successfully make my server to send out emails. Why i know this? it's because I saw many return emails saying that the emails sent out to their inbox are consider spam. Send Mail From Web Form Using 3rd Party SMTP
I have a CDONTS script which has been sending mail from a client's website form to their address. However, the script has suddenly stopped working. It doesn't error, they just don't receive the mail. I've tried CCing myself in the script and the mail is not getting through. The script itself is tried and tested and syntaxially correct. I think the problem is because they're using their own exchange server, not the web hosts' mail server. Therefore I would expect that mail sent from the web script wouldn't go through because there is no local mail server to process it. The problem is that the script hasn't changed, the host say their system hasn't changed, and the client's IT team say their exchange settings haven't changed! I could set up a CDOSYS script to use their Exchange server to deal with the email, but their IT support won't allow relaying, so I don't think this is possible. Is connecting to their Exchange box the only option, or should the website host still be able to process the web-script-generated mail despite not being their mail provider? I'm getting a lot of grief here, but it can't be the script that has suddenly broken because nobody has touched it!

FedoraCore2 - Cannot Telnet Out To Port 25, So Cant Send Email

Best Way Send A Few Thousand Email Per Day- Not SPAM.
way to send up to a few thousand emails per day. These emails are simply replies to people contacting me first then I reply with ONE message from an autoresponder. No further contact is made unless they write me back again. This is not really something that would work with aweber, getresponse, or a similar service. And most email service providers seem to have a limit of 250/messages a day. I'm guessing I will need a dedicated server for this? Anything else I need on the dedicated server? I only have a few mailbox accounts I use that I access via outlook.

Can't Send Outbound Email From My Server With Comcast
It appears Comcast is now blocking port 25. As a result, I can't sent outbound email via my dedicated server. They had me change to port 587 for my comast email account, but that doesn't solve my not being able to send outbound from my dedicated server. Is there anythighn I can do (like change the post my mail server uses to 587) so that I can send outbound mail from my server with outlook (over Comcast connection) or am I just stuck now with using web mail?

Moved To A New VPS But Can Still Send Email From Old Host
I recently moved a site from a hosting company to a VPS. I updated the name servers with the domain name registrar and the transfer went smoothly. However one thing does have me puzzled. As I understand it (and correct me if I am wrong) my new hosting company are now the authority for my zone and should have a zone file which points my domain name at one of their IP addresses? However my previous host has a webbased email panel - if I log in to it I can still send email (but not recieve). This has confused me as I would have thought that my new ISP would have a zone file with an MX record for my email? How is this possible?

Monitoring PHP Scripts That Send Email
Is anyone aware of any good tools or tips that I can use to monitor use of qmail/sendmail to generate and send email messages from PHP scripts on a web server? I want to keep a check on sites that are sending email from the site, to make sure they are not being exploited and result in our server getting blacklisted by big service providers. I'd love a tool that would automatically block messages from an account after a certain threshold is hit. I'm running a Plesk 8.1.1 & 8.2.0 server configuration..
