Whats the upper dangerous limit of ampere at ground connections for servers?
IBM and HP servers has ground connection of electricity.
So ground connection never stands in 0 value it has some + ampere and i would like to know whats the dangerous or maximum limit of ampere in ground connection.

This server should run Virtruzzo and Cpanel
I was informed by cpanel that I need to install the OS will be CentOS 4.+
then I am assuming Virtruzzo then cpanel sepratly on each VPS Server
I also have a couple of questions say on an 80GB HD how big should
each VPS be? what should the Partitions be? and are they seprate for each vps?
Why are there many people setting their TTL to higher values rather than lower ones? By setting it lower, won't it propagate faster?

is there a way to set global php values settings for all Domains in Plesk 12. In the older version of Plesk I can do it by linux in /etc/php.ini and restart the apache and all Domains will be load this configuration. But from Plesk 11 the settings are not loading from /etc/php.ini, only by the own php.ini file.How can I do it for all domains?

I have a lot of questions here so if you can't answer them all I understand. even pointing me somewhere where I could get the answers would be appreciated; hardware sites focusing on server hardware, forums focusing on such, etc.
we plan to have three different types of servers:
- db server (self explanatory. mysql. for forums, mysql driven sites.)
- file server (lots of files around ~2-10MB, consistant 70mbps right now, but we want more room for upgrades. needs a LOT of storage room.)
- web server (lots of php files, but also static things like plain html, images, etc. also includes all misc services for the setup-- dns, etc.)
could I be given a rundown for which hardware each of the three should have? I don't need specifics, even just knowing that more ram is important here while cpu doesn't matter as much, or that the fastest disks available are a must, etc would all be valuable info for me. despite that, I certainly wouldn't mind specific hypothetical hardware configs.
for the database server I'm assuming the more ram the better. not entirely sure about the cpu? also not positive on disks...
for the fileserver, how much ram would be practical or useful? disk io will be an issue I'm because plenty of people will be pulling files at once so the disk needs to read from multiple places. scsi (and even raptors) are not an option as we need 750GB+ of space on a reasonable budget. more ram will take some load of of the disks, but how much is neccessary / reasonable?
for the web server I'm assuming cpu first, then ram, but it'll likely need less ram than the db server?
I'm more lost on the disks than anything. scsi on the fileserver is not an option under any circumstances due to $/GB. for the db & web server I'm willing to pay for scsi if the performance increase really does warrant the extra money, but I'd like to be convinced before shelling it out. if you have benchmarks geared at server hardware when it comes to disks I'd really appreciate it.
also, what's the best way to network these together when colocated? each one with a dual gigabit ethernet port and then the communications go to and from the router?

I tried to update a plugin at my blog its a wordpress blog, as soon as the update was started that site on the server stopped working, (later on i closed the upgradation window), after few minutes website start working automatically, Now in my opinion I think that update process is still running in background thats why connections are creating continuously to that website IP.

its even touching 1500, I tried to contact my server support but unfortunately they can investigate the issue, instead they told me to check with the following command.

which is not an answer to my question. Can anybody please tell me why those connections are making to that website's IP? I don't think its a Ddos attack, because it was just started when i updated the plugin.
Could someone comment on the kind of load a VPS service can handle? If I were to run an HTTP server how many connection/sec would be realistic.

I was wondering because4 some companies say pay $$ a month get 300gb of bandwith a month. Can they limit the bandwith by limiting your simulteanous connections? I am asking because I just found out my host only allows 50 per hosting package that is on a shared server. To me that seems to be very little.

The server runs gallery2, how many connections does an IP need just to browse the gallery? I'd like to block wget etc, but don't want to hurt search engine optimization (SEO). Is there a compromise, like limiting IPs to 5 connections, so the site still gets crawled, just slower?

My server started lagging up and I processed my configserver firewall logs and founds tons of TCP out connections. How can I track down which user was making these connections, if possible?

Has anyone worked with the cable companies on internet connections for hosting? Eg. Comcast, TW.
I worked with a sales rep for Comcast a few years ago on a solution for our offices. He worked out a line that would give us 3+mbits up speed for less then the price of a T1.
It also included a dedicated line to our offices. Would using a cable line be a bad idea for a hosting connection?
Most of them are from Google and Yahoo...

I signed up for a hosted account with gator and I don't understand something. They tell me it's a policy change for security reasons but the simultaneous SSH connections has been limited to 2. That's just nuts. Is there a real reason why someone would limit this? i need two for editors, one for shell and one for mysql. Minimum of 4. What security concern could cause them to pick 2 as the number?
I just don't get it.
