FFmpeg Enabled On Shared Hosting
Nov 14, 2008If FFmpeg Enabled on shared hosting, does it mean that I can use it on other kinds of hosting services of the company that provides this services?
The company I'm talking about is apthost.com.
Sorry if my questions seems not very wise but I'd like to clear up the situation in this way.

Webdav Permissions
Mar 10, 2008I tried installing webdav on my VPS, but I'm having problems. I added the module as a DSO. I'm able to connect to it fine (in multiple client (dreamweaver, cadaver)), however, when I try to upload, I'm not able to. Apache has permissions for that directory and for the lock file. However, I get a 403 Permission Denied error.

Feb 10, 2007I am running a Fedora Core 4 VPS with Apache 2.0.53 I think.
I would really like to install/enable WebDAV so that I can mount some of the server storage as a drive on my computer for easy file manipulation from desktop, laptop, gf's house, etc. without having to carry the files around with me all the time.
How would I go about configuring WebDAV?
Webdav Trouble With IIS6
Oct 29, 2008I am having trouble setting up webdav on IIS6. I wasted all day on this today.
So far I have set it up to work over the internet with anonymous access.
Now I want to turn on:
1) basic authentication
2) SSL
I try to turn on (1) but:
- when try to access over the internet, it prompts for my login but it doesn't accept the login and keeps reprompting me.
- when I try to access from the local server, it seems to accept the login but gives an error 'the folder you entered does not appear to be valid, please choose another'
I have created a new user who has permission to access both the directory on the server and the virtual directory in IIS. I have turned on the webdav extension. I have tried reinstalling IIS too.

Mar 19, 2013I am working with an Apple Lion Server. I want to give users the possibility to gain access to certain share points with the webbrowser via the WebDAV protocol. The OS allows to define sharepoints with the GUI. In this GUI you can adjust, that the users are allowed to access the sharepoints via WebDAV but it is not possible to access the folders via a browser. You just get an error from the webserver after a login:
You don't have permission to access /webdav/ on this server.
So I have looked for the relevant configuration file "httpd_webdavsharing.conf" (apache v2.2)

Based on the rights in the access control lists the users should only have access to the folders listed in the ACL lists.In addition to that some users have only "read", some also "write" rights for the folders.How can I set up the described access rights on my WebDav server?

Dec 18, 2008I have dedicated server running CentOS 5.2 with the latest release of cPanel.
Every night /scripts/upcp runs and I get e-mail. I am worried about this part:
Checking /dev/sda....S.M.A.R.T does not appear to be enabled for this device.
Checking /dev/sdb....S.M.A.R.T does not appear to be enabled for this device.
How do I enable S.M.A.R.T. (should I?) permanently?
Need CURL Enabled
Apr 9, 2009I have a Linux-Debian server, I have Apache2, PHP ect setup for a basic website im running on it too, However I need cURL enabled, I cant seem to find any options in the php.ini files to enable cURL at all.
I know that you just uncomment it to enable it however I dont see it at all, even it being disabled. I opened it in notepad and used the SEARCH feature and it couldnt find it eithier.

Oct 8, 2009SNMP enabled thermometer, hopefully one capable of reading both inside and outside temperatures. A fair bit of Googling only turned up the Poseidon 1140, which apparently is not available in the US. I figured that someone here has to be using something like this in their DC.

CSF is enabled and working, at least it's sending me mails that it's blocking IP's or if CPU load is too high.

Jun 1, 2008I am currently running the script vshare (youtube clone) on APThost shared. I really need to upgrade. I opened the site on the 28th of May and already using 13gb of space and 26gb of bandwidth in just a few days. I am looking for either a dedicated or VPS host that can at least provide:
- 100gb of space
- 150gb of bandwidth (maybe more?)
- ffmpeg
US based as they are cheaper.
I don't really have a lot to spend, as this was meant to start as a fun site but it is growing rapidly.
I have no idea on how a dedicated or vps server works like is it the same as a shared server?

Scripts are running with user's UID, and that is fine, but it can still read /etc/passwd file for example.
How to fix that? Is it really open_basedir value is ignored by susphp? It works fine if I remove suphp and run scripts with nobody uid.
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Antivirus Not Enabled When Using CLI
Dec 29, 2014when trying to add several useraccounts to our mail domain using the cli, we have a problem enabling the antivirus. We add user with the following CLI command, the antivirus flag is set. /usr/local/psa/bin/mail --create mail@mail.box -mailbox true -antivirus inout -passwd yourpassword -cp-access true
But when we got to the web interface and select the newly created user, the antivirus is still disabled for him and has to be enabled manually. Is this a known problem? Or is there any other way to automatically enable antivirus than using the "-antivirus" flag? Because we 're talking about more than 100 users it would take a lot of time enabling the AV manually for each of them.We 're running 12.0.18 Update Nr. 29

our error_log keeps to have errors
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
Cannot rename /var/net-snmp/snmpapp.conf to /var/net-snmp/snmpapp.0.conf
We have make sure net-snmp is up to date, but still these erros time to time
Client uses drupal system which seems not working well EA, causing a lot of segments fault
The worse is that it seems error happen only when eaccelerator installed
