Wordpress Upload Pics
Jan 28, 2008Recently my Wordpress seemed to be working weird, when I browse and download any pics, it will say no permissions etc.....Anyway to reset all permissions?

Aug 18, 2007I have recently upgraded our server from Server 2000 to Server 2003. Everything was running smoothly except for one thing.
It keeps on forgetting how to display .asp pages.
When I view the website all I get is a white screen as if its loading the page but never does, the busy icon up at the top right hand side of the browser contines to spin but nothing. If I try and view a .html page it works without a problem. So the server is running and it can read .html files without a problem.
Now here is the strange bit, if I restart the the WWW publishing service on the server the .asp page all of a sudden work and continue to work until the following morning when it all dies again.
I have checked the event logs and there is no errors or anything that I can see that would be causing this problem.
Has anyone else had similiar problem or at least have an idea on how to fix this. I can't be restarting the WWW publishing service every day just so .asp pages work!
Anyone Upgraded To Centos 5
Jul 10, 2007I was thinking of upgrading my centos 4.5 systems to 5 but all over their docs its like they are telling you doing any sort of upgrade especially yum upgrade will break everything. It keeps saying fresh install is reccomended method.

So I got openssl to update to 0.9.8g and that seemed to be working correctly.

Webhost Hasn't Upgraded MySQL
Apr 22, 2008I took out a web hosting plan in 2006. The MySQL version is 4.0
I requested my webhost to upgrade to MySQL 4.1 but they said I'd have to purchase a new account.
Is this reasonable or should I bring it up again and push for them to upgrade?

allow_url_fopen was replaced by allow_url_include and it's set to On.

Upgraded Network Port And Now CPU Usage Is Sky High
Jan 17, 2008Today I upgraded my dual opteron dedicated server from a 10mbps port to 100mbps. While the number of apache access have dropped by about a quarter my CPU usage has increased also by about a quarter, my CPU is touching on 95-100% now.
What’s most likely to be the cause?
What’s also interesting is my network port is only showing 20mbps usage, nowhere near the 100mbps its been upgraded to.
Upgraded From Shared Hosting To A Virtual Server Help ...
May 28, 2008I'm familiar with shared hosting but a complete novice to virtual servers, I'm getting the following error message when I go to my new virtual server IP [url]
If you see this page it means:
1. hosting for this domain is not configured
or
2. there's no such domain registered in Parallels Plesk Control Panel
Now am I getting that because...
a) I need to set something up in the PLESK control panel thing or
b) Is it a DNS issue? Its only been 30 hours since the migration from shared hosting.
I was told when I upgraded that I wouldn't have to do anything and there would be no interruption as the site www.mydomain.com would continue to use the shared hosting until the virtual one was set.
Is it a question of waiting for the DNS to update so it points to [url]: or do I have to set something up?
Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Upgraded And Now PSA Service Will No Longer Start
Jun 19, 2014I upgraded today from 11 to 12, however since the upgrade I am now unable to start the PSA Service, it comes up with the below error.
Starting psa... Starting sw-engine-fpm: Thu Jun 19 13:22:29 2014 (7885): Fatal Error Unable to allocate shared memory segment of 104857600 bytes: mmap: Cannot allocate memory (12)
I have checked resources and everything should be fine, I cant see a reason why it cant allocate the memory, as there is plenty free for it to take from.
I have tried a Bootstrapper repair for 12 however this has not found any issues other than its not able to stop the PSA Service (As its not running)
Everything else is up and running its just the Parallels backend which im guessing is what the PSA Service is!

Apr 11, 2015I updated two days ago the Plesk panel from the Panel itself and it was succesfully but at webmail URL which it appeared one error about default.inc something but after I did refresh some times it disappeared now it doesn't show anything. I tried removing and reinstalling roundcube but still doesn't work..

QC Xeon X3220 Vs QC Xeon 5320 - Which Is Better? Dell Upgraded Mine To 5320
Nov 18, 2007I just ordered a dell server a few days ago and have noticed in addition to a free harddrive upgrade I now have an upgraded processor for the same price.
PE860 Quad-Core Xeon X3220 2.4GHz/2x4MB 1066FSB (105W)
Free Processor Upgrade to QC Xeon 5320
The question for me is which is better? The previous processor was the low energy 105W one which suited me fine as I'm co-locating this to a DC where they are very strict on power consumption.
Is this one going to provide a noticable performance increase over the first? Is it a major power hog?

CPanel Horde Vulnerability Found - Update Your CPanel
Mar 7, 2008An arbitrary file inclusion vulnerability has been discovered in the Horde
webmail application. At present, we can confirm that this security
vulnerability in question affects Horde 3.1.6 and earlier. Based on
incomplete information at this time, we also believe this affects Horde
Groupware 1.0.4 and earlier as well (cPanel does not use Horde Groupware
at this time).
cPanel customers should update their cPanel and WHM servers immediately to
prevent any chance of compromise. The patch will be available in builds
11.18.2 and greater (or 11.19.2 and greater for EDGE systems). The updated
builds will be available immediately to all fast update servers. The
builds will be available to all other update servers within one hour of
this posting.
To check which version of cPanel and WHM is on your server, simply log
into WebHost Manager (WHM) and look in the top right corner, or execute
the following command from the command line as root:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V
You can upgrade your server by navigating to 'cPanel' -> 'Upgrade to
Latest Version' in WebHost Manager or by executing the following from the
command line as root:
/scripts/upcp
It is recommended that all use of Horde 3.1.6 and earlier be stopped (on
cPanel and non-cPanel systems alike) until Horde updates can be applied.
You can disable Horde on your cPanel system by unchecking the box next to
'Server Configuration' -> 'Tweak Settings' -> 'Mail' -> 'Horde Webmail'
within WHM, and saving the page with the new settings.

SSL With CPanel
May 11, 2009I'm having big trouble trying to update an SSL certificate with cPanel.
I'm such a dummy that I've ended up buying 2 SSL certificates to see if that may fix it.
I now have 1 certificate for www.mydomainname.com and 1 for just mydomainname.com
I have logged into the account in cpanel and uploaded both certificates and when I view them in Security -> SSL/TLS manager -> Certificates They both display the correct host, correct issuer, and correct expire date.
But when I try to visit my site using https I get:
The certificate expired on 4/8/2008 7:59 PM.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

Jun 27, 2009Anyone here use PAX in their kernel builds? I've been trying to find a setup that works, but with no luck. stability wise.
I can run CPanel fine with just about any PAX setup, but after awhile with some settings the server eventually will get a load of over 250 and 1000 processes like it's not able to terminate them, or turn 4GB ram into like 3.2GB ram.

May 17, 2008i am now unable to remove subdomains for some reason, even though it says that it is successful.
i added 2 parked domains that is to redirect to my main domain and it created the subdomain folders for me.
i went to try creating a subdomain for parked.co.cc and tried to redirect it to my main domain.
so example i created this subdomain: parked1.co.cc.maindomain.com
in the list of subdomains table, i have:
Subdomains: parked1
Root Domain: .co.cc.maindomain.com
but however it should be:
Subdomains: parked1.co.cc
Root Domain: .maindomain.com
how can i solve this? i just want to delete it now..
also for some reason my /cpanel and /webmail goes to my main hosting website url but not mine! so if i type www.maindomain.com/cpanel it goes to www.mainhosting.com:2093 etc!

May 22, 2007I now have tried a number of VPS accounts with CPanel.
I have taken the 256mb burstable to 512mb.
I am only running a simple php mysql online game (AATraders.com), yet i always max out at the memory and the server crashes.
Even when there is no one online I have issues.
I get the feeling that VPS with Cpanel and anything less than 1 gb ram is not going to work.
