Oct 8, 2007I mounted sda2 as var and its size is 2GB. I wanna to increase its size to 4GB,which command should i run without umount and mount it again?

Jul 25, 2008i have a 32 GB hdd the results of df command are:
df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda3 32G 29G 715M 98% /
/dev/sda1 99M 14M 81M 15% /boot
tmpfs 1.5G 0 1.5G 0% /dev/shm
so there are 29GB used
but the du command shows only 19GB used:
du -hs /
19G /
where are the remaining 10GB from 19GB to 29GB?

Dec 5, 2014I'm trying to perform SSO to my application. for my login i get an error "Size of a request header field exceeds server limit". I believe the header size got increased then the limit set in apache server. I'm guessing so.
the flow of request: Apache -> tomcat -> SAP Business Objects.
For my colleagues login the SSO works fine with out issue.
So, how to increase the HTTP header size. I'm bridging apache and tomcat using AJP connector. below is the AJP connector parameters in server.xml

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Can't Increase Phpmyadmin Max Upload / Import File Size
Jan 2, 2015I'm running Plesk 12. I install it today, using the ISO which parallels provides, which includes centos 6.5 and preinstalled Plesk 12 in my vps. Then I logged in plesk, and I did everything it wants. Then I upgraded my php, to php 5.4.36 according to the manual that Paralells provides, and then I tried to increase the max upload file size for phpmyadmin. I have edited my /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini file and tried to restart using with 3 different ways using terminal:
1st: service sw-cp-server restart
2st: /etc/init.d/psa stop
/etc/init.d/psa start
3st: reboot (which rebooted all the vps)
My php.ini file is:
short_open_tag = On
y2k_compliance = Off
output_buffering = Off
max_execution_time = 600
max_input_time = 600
memory_limit = 256M
max_file_uploads = 99999
max_input_vars = 2000

However, when I'm trying to import a 31mb sql file, I always get that error, and only some of my tables are being imported:

Aug 14, 2008One of our resellers has an account.. When looking into cpanel, it says that that account is using 3300megs. When we go into the ftp of that account, in reality it is only using 1.3megs. This is a huge difference! Most of folders are empty.

VPS Getting Mounted State Then Locked Each 3 Hours
Aug 17, 2007I found VPS at Virtuozzo logs that system turns locked and mounted and I believe the system becomes unresponsive at same time.
Here is the sequence of the status that can be found at VPS/status changes

It's a small job. I've got one server that was compromised by D.O.S. atack and taken down by hosting company they did a clean instal fedora and cpanel and said that the data would be mounted on a old drive I need to restore the webs about 30 small sites

Deleted Tmp Folder, Mounted Secure File
Feb 13, 2008I deleted my tmp folder and mounted a secure tmp file via fstab
e.g.
/path/to/tmp /tmp ext2 loop,noexec,nosuid,rw 0 0
the temp files are now written to a secure tmp file, however some processes still need that folder for example cpanel.
"Failed to create directory /tmp/cpanel.TMP.xxxxx"
Should I ignore that and similar error messages or what am I supposed to do?
Mounted RAID Storage - No Access From Apache/php
Apr 25, 2007I have a problem with my new server's setup. It's using a big RAID storage mounted to the main system. When it comes to shell everything is fine, I have access to the disk and files. Problems rise when I try to access the storage content from my php scripts (running on apache) - "Permission Denied" ...
Anyone knows where might be the problem?
I suppose it's because of using RAID but I'm sure it's doable.. somehow..
When I tried to use CLI mode it looks fine - PHP script can access RAID'ed folders when running like :

My question is how would I use this since Plesk seems to be configured either to use an FTP location or to use the server repository. Would I have to change the location of the server repository to this network location? This doesn't seem ideal.

Nov 18, 2014So I have a script running on my apache that catalogs pictures and clips. All the actual video files are located on a separate drive which is mounted in to a folder in my site. I've set apache as the owner and have the correct permissions on the mounted folder but I'm getting Forbidden errors accessing files even when on html file in the mounted folder.
I know it's a permissions issue at the disk or mounting level. The way I mount is by using this command:
mount -t ext4 /dev/sdc /var/www/html/media

Dec 16, 2008my cpanel doesn't get backups. When I force it, it gives me this error:
mount: can't find /backup in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

[cpbackup] Backup failed! /bekkaplars is not mounted! at /scripts/cpbackup line 415.
It's a vps. Another interesting thing is, my other 3 vpses run good even /etc/fstab has no line like /backup in there, also.

May 2, 2009I'm considering upgrading our company's server. We run an ecommerce site php/mysql based, we have about 12,000 visitors per day and we use up about 1500 gig per month. Simple ecommerce site, nothing fancy. We had some complains from people that our site is "slow" (despite it running smoothly for us, but these people claimed that only our site was "slow" and that they use fast connections) so that's why now I'm thinking maybe its time to upgrade.
We are using softlayer, for an extra $50 per month they recommended that we upgrade from our Opteron 1216 to "Xeon 3220 - 2.40GHz (Kentsfield) - 2 x 4MB cache"
Are we going to see a serious increase in performance? Will the increase be enough that most visitors will actually be able to feel it?

Jul 28, 2009Anyone else see an influx of fraudulent CC orders with all valid information? Even the IP of these orders matches or comes close to matching the address. What's in common is that email correspondence reveals Asia-based IP addresses and the phone number never checks out.
Could this be due to the recent Network Solutions breach? I've never seen so many fraudulent orders with nearly everything checking out.
