Email Notifications Whenever User Log's In FTP (CPanel)

Apr 12, 2009

Server configuration:
CENTOS 5.3 x86_64
cPanel 11.24.4-C35075 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9

Is it possible to write a script that will be sending notifications on user e-mail, that is already pre-configured in their account, whenver user will log in to FTP.

Are there any pre-made scripts or if not, any hint's on writing something like that?

How Do Social Networks Handle Email Notifications?

Jun 23, 2008

Run a small but fast-growing social network and we're getting to the point where our email notifications (e.g., SoAndSo Added You as a Friend) isn't scaling and we need to find an alternative solution. We're going to be sending out 1,000+ notifications a day and one option would be to run Postfix (or something similar) on our servers. Of course the challenge with this is message delivery. Our concern is that even if abide by strict protocols and give our people unsubscribe options we'll still get listed as Spam. Some of the hosted services seem to have solutions that help with this given that they have good relationships with major ISPs, email hosts, etc.

Plesk 11.x / Windows :: Panel Notifications And Email

May 14, 2013

I have Plesk and SmarterMail running on a server.SmarterMail is setup as 'require SMTP authentication before relaying' email (I think this is standard practice).I cannot get Plesk to send any emails, such as forgotten password reminders and notifications.Plesk tries to send but gets a "550 Authentication is required for relay" error... which is expected, because I can't find anywhere in Plesk to enter the authentication details for the email account being used to send (relay) the emails.

I don't want to setup a 'whitelist' or 'bypass relay authentication' for 127.0.0.1 as I have had a spam issue with this previously.where to enter the username / password details so Plesk Panel can authenticate and send it's emails?

Plesk 11.x / Linux :: Unable To Send Email Notifications

Feb 4, 2015

My Plesk Panel stopped to send notifications a while ago, I don't receive mails when the backup are done, the clients can't receive their passwords if they need to reset...

The mails are not being forwarded when they configure it in the panel (I receive a mail in mail1@mydomain.com and I want it forwarded automatically to mail2@gmail.com or wherever).

I don't see nothing about the plesk panel mail in the postfix log and I don't know what else to check.

Clearing Logs And Tmp (cPanel)

Aug 25, 2007

I have a cPanel website, its /tmp and /logs directories have taken large amount of disk space now. What is the best way to clear the /tmp and /logs directory safely without causing any issues ? Analog, AWstats and Webalizer are enabled for this website. I guess most of the files belong to them. So is there any way to clear them without causing those statistics softwares to have any issues ? I have root access also to this server.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: After Migration - Email User Can't Login With Roundcube

Nov 24, 2014

I have done the migration with the Migration Manager from Confixx to Plesk 12.0.18. Users can login tho the mail account with Outlook, thats no problem(old password is working). If the webmailer is set to Hord the user also can login. But if i switch to roundcube it is not possible to login to the Webmailer! You get the message "Die Anmeldung ist fehlgeschlagen." (Login failed)

After changing the email password in plesk, it is then possibe to login(even if the new password is identical to the old one)?!?

Is this a known bug? Is there a solution for that?!? I really don't want to email every customor to ask him to change his password?!
