I have a web application (PHP and ASP.NET editions) which is widely distributed. The common question from users is "why does your script lack cPanel (or Plesk) integration?"
Can anybody provide some guidelines of whether/how it's possible to develop a web app (PHP, ASP.NET) which will act as add-on to cPanel or Plesk, assuming that I will develop this integration using shared hosting account?
The docs for cPanel/Plesk I found so far assume you have a dedicated server with admin access to cPanel (or Plesk) and thus can do everything with the server during the development process. But can I perform development of cPanel/Plesk compatible applications having shared hosting account only? Or, maybe, some hosting providers enable the required functionality while others do not? If so, could anybody recommend such a provider from whom I can get an account and make my web app cPanel compatible?
I need to make the application at least installable by means of cPanel/Plesk, so that anybody could install it using cPanel/Plesk only and its icon would appear in the control panel just like other cPanel/Plesk-compatible apps do. Deeper integration (whatever it could mean) is planned but not for the time being.
The same question for Plesk.
Or, I have no other choice but to get two dedicated servers with cPanel and Plesk for my development purposes?
I want to develop a package for Parallels Plesk Automation to introduce some services like backup email, database, websites. I want to know whether it is possible with Parallels Plesk Automation and if so any links to developers site/documentation.
I'm having a problem with Plesk Panel 11.0.9 update #64. All other page running perfect. But when I go to "Backup Manager --> Database Backup Repository --> Upload Backup File" then Plesk Panel show error: Internal Server Error 500.0.
I have a big problem concerning the file upload limit (I need a large size, around 2Go) : I was using my app in /var/www/vhost/default and it was working perfectly, I decided to change it and use /var/www/vhost/mydomain.com to have it throught the plesk panel, and there I have an upload limit than I need to push. I can't upload files larger than 128Mo and I don't know why.
- I have checked all php.ini files (with locate php.ini) and they are all correct. - I used plesk panel to set php conf -> done. - I put : php_value memory_limit 2000M php_value upload_max_filesize 2000M php_value post_max_size 2000M in my .htaccess in htdocs
I reload/restart apache2, psa, ... And it still doesn't work, I have no more idea every conf file seems correct. It's not a permission problem because I can upload some 80Mo files but not 500Mo ...
We are having an issue upload a 300mb mysql database to phpmyadmin.. With direct mysql file, t stops and only copies a few tables, stating to reupload to continue (which it doesn't and states that there are pre-existing tables). With zip file, it does the same.. at one point at 504 error occurred.
I have 1 domain so i will use upload script on but there is some issue when i try and upload file.
I have upload 1 file so was 11MB & 1 file so was 6MB without problem.
And try with a file so was 17.46MB and this will not upload. It seems to me that it is a barrier for some space 16MB of uploading! Since that work and upload file so was 6 & 11MB but when I try and upload a file so is 17.46 or higher it stop.
I'm running Plesk 12. I install it today, using the ISO which parallels provides, which includes centos 6.5 and preinstalled Plesk 12 in my vps. Then I logged in plesk, and I did everything it wants. Then I upgraded my php, to php 5.4.36 according to the manual that Paralells provides, and then I tried to increase the max upload file size for phpmyadmin. I have edited my /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini file and tried to restart using with 3 different ways using terminal:
1st: service sw-cp-server restart 2st: /etc/init.d/psa stop /etc/init.d/psa start 3st: reboot (which rebooted all the vps)
My php.ini file is:
short_open_tag = On y2k_compliance = Off output_buffering = Off max_execution_time = 600 max_input_time = 600 memory_limit = 256M max_file_uploads = 99999 max_input_vars = 2000
However, when I'm trying to import a 31mb sql file, I always get that error, and only some of my tables are being imported:
#1153 - Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes
We need to upload to a virtual server (managed with Plesk 11.5) a Wordpress site developed locally. We made this operations without problems many times on other hostings managed with custom panels, non-Plesk.
On the virtual server with Plesk, however, once the files are uploaded via FTP, the database via phpMyAdmin and updated the Wordpress configuration file, when you go to visit the website, it does not display anything and the browser opens the download window for a text file called "download" that contains the code of the file index.php of WordPress.
I have a 6GB backup file created with another Plesk Backup Manager, now I trying to upload this backup file to my Plesk Backup Manager but after upload 3% I am getting "413 Request Entity Too Large" error, I tried with disable NGINX but still getting this error.

Im having problems uploading a 250mb sql DB thru Phpmyadmin in localhost. Can someone please help me out with this one? Is there a better way to do this. It keeps telling that the file is too large to upload thru phpmyadmin.. I have edit the php.ini file but no luck it still says the same thing.
What I basicly just want to do is to look at my old database tables that I had from my old site. I need all my members information so that I can start migrating info. Is there a software that just allows me to look at my sql DB ? I have a local copy in my hard drive.
I have a website related to my business, i want to host it on the internet. But i do not know which web hosting to follow. I want great security to my data. Please tell me Which web hosting is best whether Windows web hosting or Linux web hosting?
I wanted to ask you guys why some hosting companies ask you if you want either linux or windows when you are buying a hosting plan?....does it have anything do to with the way the control panel works or something like that?. I have created a few websites on a host that has linux on its general server info as its operating system. But I have winxp not linux installed on my pc. So my question is what difference it makes if the server is using linux or windows and whats the best choice when you buy a hosting plan.
I'm thinking of upgrading my shared hosting account to a VPS account, but I do not know which to go for. Right now I'm using Linux for my website. I do understand that there are differences between Linux and Windows. What I don't understand is why would someone choose Linux over Windows or Windows over Linux. If I understand correctly, I would be able to install applications such as mIRC on windows via Remote Desktop. That's something I like. However, I never controlled my website on a Windows computer before.
So basically what are the differences between Linux VPS and Windows VPS?
Whenever I tried to upload large files to my server it restarts the upload again and again and never actually uploads. It just keeps overwriting the previous file. I don't get any errors? It just automatically reuploads and overwrites the files everytime.
