Whats the best dedicated server provider in Germany with connections to the east to Asia...?
I need a server around 300 Euros / month
RAID, daily backup, cPanel, Redhat
I'm starting a B2B site which the primary market would be in Asia.
Should I have my server in Asia or US? I would like to get some advise/recommendation for:
- Where should I setup my server at? (especially if going forward I will have customers all over the world too, not just Asia)
- Any dedicated hosting server in Asia that is reliable?
- Will Amazon EC2 fit my situation?
but I heard, their initial configuration and maintenance is pretty complicated (and not reliable too)
Most of the US based hosting offering pretty huge package and atractive price, unlike their counterpart in Asia.
I almost signup with MediaTemple (dv) sevice, but then I realize that they don't have any network in Asia, and I'm just concerned about latency/download speed, etc.
I know their service is good in the US, but not sure if it's used in Asia.
any comment for skynethosting.net, theplanet, hostsg, or MediaTemple with the usage in Asia?
does anybody know a cheap dedicated server in US (west coast) or Asia region. The price should be arround $40 per month. no setup or less than $50.
Server is for DNS, SNMP monitoring and some backup data only. Minimum requirement are 512MB+, small CPU, 80GB/120GB+ HDD and 200GB+ Traffic should be enough for it. More than 1 IP, remote power and Gentoo Linux is preferred.
I had searched in the past but it seeams that companies like vrtservers/theplanet/etc. will have much higher prices right now as a half year before. I know there were one for $29-$39 in SJ or LA depending on the RAM/HDD/IP but I don't remember which company it was.
But in general it seams that servers in Europe (NL, Germany, ...) will be much cheaper right now with much more support and features like RemotePower, more IP addresses, ...
If you got a dedicated server in Germany not running on maxium load and would like to make some money I'd be interested in running a small gameserver from your machine.
View 0 Replies View RelatedWe need to get another dedicated server in Germany for a video application (so low latency and high-quality connectivity are crucial). Our current server is hosted with NetDirekt in Frankfurt -- our first year with them has been very good. However I want the next server located in a different city, for redundancy.
My considerations:
- English-speaking sales & support
- Highly reliable network
- Low latency to Germany users
Do you have any recommendations among the following short-list of providers?
Germany:
- plusserver.de
- probe-networks.de
- hosteurope.de
Amsterdam:
- eurovps.com
- leaseweb.com
Is Amsterdam a suitable location if I'm serving German end-users? Latency matters a lot... so if a German datacenter saves 20ms of latency, that's important.
Do you know of any other comparable providers -- especially ones that do not require a 12-month contract?
Good day to the users of the Forum.
be always i :-) But this time in Germany!
As the title, search Web-Hosting with server in Germany. (NO SERVER DEDICATED-NO VPS SERVER)
I must register a domain .COM contents on the Forex, trading online, borse ecc....
For the moment i need a little space not more to 100mb.
I wish the following characteristics for me obligatory:
- IP Location my web site: France
- IP DEDICATED
- Protection WHOIS
- Custom error pages
- The option to install BLOG WORDPRESS
- Statistics Webs professional
- And if it is possible Anonymous FTP, otherwise can renounce this characteristic.
I have a pet project that I am working on in Frankfurt, Germany. My problem is, I can't seem to find any retailers that have server grade components.
Err as an edit, I am hoping to build my own 1U/2U rackmounts and avoid big box stuff like dell, hp, ibm etc. I'm a big supermicro fan if anyone knows a supermicro retailer it would be perfect.
My server hosted with 1and1.co.uk (and therefore in Germany) has been down since 6PM UK time (20 hours ago) - support is just excruciatingly bad - the structure they have set up to make sure the actual datacentre people aren't customer facing is atrocious... you can't speak to anyone who knows anything, it's so frustrating.
I'm writing this to ask if anyone else has a root server in Germany as the latest fob off is that a router CPU has gone down knocking all those root servers offline. I'm surprised to not have seen any other threads from disgruntled customers if that were the case. They even added the router is in Canada... which begs the question - why would that knock out my German server??
My server isn't even accessible by the serial console and the reboot/recovery system isn't restoring it - they swear it's network related, but surely I'd be able to get in via the serial console?
This is winding me up good and proper, I can't concentrate on any other work and I just find myself trying to find other ways of getting any kind of real information out of 1and1 given their complete lacklustre attitude to coming forward with any themselves. 1 hour of downtime I can put up with, 20 hours without a hint of belivable feedback is just unacceptable...
Anyone can let me know whois server for .asia and .mobi domain?
And what's the response key? NOT FOUND or No match for?
We have a few websites which get 90% Asian traffic. Looking to optimise the user experience in terms of loading time..
Any specific server providers good for asian traffic? How do I find the latency time for a server provider before I go ahead with buying the server?
We have an image hosting project, which uses ~5Tb/mo,
Currently we are running it on Pentium D 2,8GHz CPU (Dual Core), 1Gb RAM, 2×160Gb 7200rpm IDE HDD for ~170$/mo.
We don't need much better hardware, but need some good hdds (IDE sucks) + RAID.
Stats for 20.03.08-30.03.08 (10 days) - incoming: 35 Gb, outgoing: 1.3 Tb
So it's about ~4 Tb/mo. And we want 5-6Tb for a reserve.
Keyweb doesn't allow image hosting on their servers
Best choice is OVH, but I'm not in Germany..
I am testing out a proxy we have in NY, and a proxy we have in Japan. The computer that I am using is in Toyoseu, Japan. What I want to know is why, when navigation to the website: stuttgarter-zeitung.de/stz/page/detail.php/1693599
it takes longer to load using the Tokyo proxy. Normally, I would think that it would be shorter than having to go to the NY proxy, get the site, and then come back.
We have a client looking for just 1u and 1Mbps in each location.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThere use to be a thread on here but because of the wht hack, it didn't get saved...so now I can't go back to it.
It was a command in ssh that printed out a number of connections. Like 12,000 or something.
Im Searching for a good server at a real cheap price. I also need a new network connection (wireless) <<< do anyone know were i connect my new connection too because im using aol and tired of missing business calls so thank you also this is my Home Computer not a a office Computer.
View 0 Replies View RelatedWe have our main cluster in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and intend to keep it there.
However our customers in Malaysia are not able to connect reliably to that server. They have up to 30% packet loss.
I want to get a server that can sit in the middle and just port-forward between Malaysia and the USA. This needs to be just a low-cost linux vps server as it is doing very little.
Does anyone know of a provider that has good links to the USA and to South East Asia who can provide a server like this?
if there is any one here
who works for rtg asia
if there is i would like to know about your VPS
As you can see.. there are LOT of connections, checked the network traffic with the NOC, and there is no attack to this server, also, load average is just fine ( fine to handle thos 24000 connections ) :
