I seem to keep getting this error whenever I try to uploading something thats too large.
It transfers fine for a few mins, then it stalls and eventually I get this error message.
Small files are fine since they don't take long to transfer, it just seems that I can't have a file transferring for too long.
I can actually get the damn file through but since I keep getting that error, I need to keep manually clicking on the transfer button. So it takes about 20 tries before I can finish a 30MB file. And I have a lot of files to transfer so thats very troublesome.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? I tried turning off the firewall and opening ports on my router but it still doesn't work. Using Cute FTP.
any reliable audio hosting service that can offer an *.mp3 - ending link to a file, not the "server.com/folder/4j8uz22ewssw" thing, please? In other words I'm looking for a hosting service with a direct link to an mp3 (just to clear things up, its not copyrighted since I'm the owner of it).
Just got a new VPS, working on securing it and I was configuring sshd_config changed the port logged out, new port didn't work! Ok so I login to hypervm and i figure i'll just change it back with the hypervm file manager. Well the file seems to have dissepeared?

Sorry, the copy failed. Unable to find the cpanel user file. Is the archive missing (cwd: /root/cprestore loaded cpmove-clanpz/cp/clanpz)? checked 4 files.....
1. /scripts/pkgacct username... 2. Transfer backup to new server 3. /scripts/restorepkg username 4. this error
Just moved to a new server, and of course, 10GB doesn't seem that large for a server but for some reason wget is not able to handle the transfer of that backup for me... it transfers about 1MB then tells me "successful transfer..."
The old server is using cPanel, and the new server is just a plain old server that I haven't loaded up yet.
how I can get this full backup over to the new server?
I am running a large scale business and some time I have to transfer large and very important data files to my business partner. I fear about my data because there are many of my business competitors who will definitely try to steal my important data. So there is huge amount of risk involved in sharing my important data on Internet. I recently heard about secure file transfer technique from my friend who is working in well established software company. Does anyone have any idea about what is Secure File Transfer (SFT) service and how does it work?
I want to set up my desktop to be kind of a database. So I can access all my files on my home desktop, from school. (and be able to back up all my files on my reliable desktop as opposed to my not so reliable lappy)
Then the next thing I wanted to do is to be able to access my desktop using remote access. So I can control everything on my desktop, while I'm not there.
My laptop is running Vista Home Premium, I dont think that matters too much. But my desktop is running XP Home Edition.
I have a no-ip account. but I dont really know what my next step would be, I'm guessing to make a sort of FTP on my desktop? and I have NO clue how I'd do the remote desktop.
I am unable to find how to resume file transfor via sftp and command line:
I use PUT command to upload file, but when connections fails and I start again, the transfer starts from its beginning - how could I made it to check the uploaded part and then resume?
I've got a server with FastCGI that at random produces 500 internal server errors. In the specific account the errors are as follows in the error_log:
[Wed May 21 12:01:29 2008] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" aborted: (first read) idle timeout (30 sec) [Wed May 21 12:01:29 2008] [error] [client 1.2.3.4] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" As you can see this unfortunately does not tell me anything.
Now viewing the apache error_log I see this
Code: [Wed May 21 12:51:11 2008] [warn] FastCGI: scheduled the restart of the last (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" process: reached dynamicMaxClassProcs (10) [Wed May 21 12:51:11 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (uid 514, gid 515) restarted (pid 20510) [Wed May 21 12:52:00 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20510) termination signaled [Wed May 21 12:52:00 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20510) terminated by calling exit with status '0' [Wed May 21 12:57:02 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20501) termination signaled [Wed May 21 12:57:02 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20501) terminated by calling exit with status '0' [Wed May 21 13:02:03 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20491) termination signaled [Wed May 21 13:02:03 2008] [warn] FastCGI: (dynamic) server "/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user/php-wrapper" (pid 20491) terminated by calling exit with status '0' All warnings so I'm assuming these don't mean anything.
A few days ago, my friends studying in America recommended me a new popular transfer tool—Qoodaa. And he told me that it was a quite good software to download files and movies. At first,I was skeptical, but after using it, I found it’s a good choice to choose Qoodaa. And I have summarized the some features of Qoodaa:
1.Its speed is faster than any other softwares I used before to upload movies.
2.It can download files quickly through downloading links, in a word, it is time-saver and with high efficiency.
3.No limit of space. No matter where you are, it can download fast.
4. Qoodaa is a green software with high security and easy use.
It really can give you unexpected surprise.

Tried migrating a site from a much older server. The migration never completed, so it was aborted and all the migration files deleted. Now, I'm getting the following error on the Plesk Home page:
================= New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: httpd: Syntax error on line 221 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 7 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/zz010_psa_httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 319 of /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/roundcube.conf: Could not open configuration file /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/webmails/roundcube/xxxxxxxxxxx.com_webmail.conf: No such file or directory . The error message containing the detailed error descriptions was sent to you by e-mail. Please resolve the issues and click here to generate broken configuration files once again or here to generate all configuration files. =================
Clicking either of the 2 available options (links) does not resolve the issue. How to clear this error?
Does anyone know of a "Windows Server 2003 Standard" download link? It seems that Microsoft has taken this OFF their 2003 download page, or has somehow "hidden" the link to only show the newer "2008" links (and the updates to 2003).
The trial software link here ...
[url]
...works for 2003 to begin the download process, but in the end no download URL is provided.
I tried to install "help desk" from the Plesk link in the Home Page of the Server Administration Panel, but in this installation appear a message that block the installation process..Warning: Possible phishing attempt detected: The link you used attempted to redirect you to another site.
some vBulletin customers facing to that error message, with session table with attachment only. Other just work fine. It's not because of server load. The load is just around 0 - 0.1
I have increased wait_timeout to 200 and max_allowed_packet to 64MB. Each attachment file in those vBulletin is just around 1-3MB.
I have dedicated server at GoDaddy and I am hosting very important web service for our company. We have only one HDD on server and no FTP backup. What is the best method to protect data and whole server from HDD crash? Is it enough to add second HDD?
In reference to my previous post, i want to tranfer accross 7GB of data, approximatly 80,000 files i believe it is (due to a gallery script).
It's currently on another host (on a webhosting account) which uses their own control panel which has no options but to manage databases, the only way i can see to do this is via FTP but it'll take me days. I've tried using compressing and backup scripts, but the damn execution time on the hosts server is too low to allow the files to be zipped. Are there any ways? Can i login to my VPS via SSH and anyhow pull off the files from the other hosts server?
We had some issues with old server hence we migrated some websites to another new server from our old server.
We did a backup of all existing webfiles and database from old server and transferred the same to new server, a manual transfer few weeks ago.
However, we were not able to backup our awstats logs for this domains, can someone guide how to transfer awstats from old server to new server?
We cannot perform an automated transfer from old server to new server now, is there some way we can migrate our awstats from old server to new server for this domains?
I have a vps (CPANEL)... I would like to have incoming emails for a certain cpanel account transfer to another external server (after coming thru the VPS).
I store my emails on the external server and have more space there.
The reason behind this is:
I have spamassassin on my VPS and would like to run email thru that before it delivers on the external server. I do not have the capability to install spamassassin on the external server.
