Cpanel Services Not Starting After Reboot
Dec 24, 2007I have a new dedicated server (my first one) with CentOS and Cpanel, and after a restart I can't access any web or ftp service... wasn't it supposed to autostart whith the system boot?
Another dumb problem I'd like to ask about: I've changed the ssh port for security puroposes, and now I can't acces ssh neither though the old port or he new one... could this be a firewall issue? How can I solve it now without ssh? :-/
Perl Processess On A Cpanel Server
Mar 27, 2007Its a cpanel server with latest version.
I have been noticing that several perl process are running most of the times which takes a lot CPU resource percentage, The server wads deployed som 5 months back but i have been noticing these perl processess from like 10-15 days, it looks like this

What should i do to close them all and to make them occur not anymore, I dont think there is any perl based script working on the server. Not even much PHP based functionalit, Only static HTML pages.
CPanel Checkperlmodules Prerequisite Perl Module Not Found (outdated)
Sep 2, 2007i had 3 emails last night from my box regarding a [checkperlmodules] automatic upgrade.
The modules cannot install as the modules on my system are outdated. I tried installing the module under WHM, IO::Compress::Base, but it says it is the most recent (2.005) and wont upgrade!
Under WHM -> 'Update System Software' i get the same error as modules wont build as they are require 2.006 and i have 2.005.
Is there anywayy how can i force an upgrade regardles?

WHM/Cpanel Block All Non Ssl Logins
Oct 30, 2008We are being required to turn off all non-ssl logins to our server. I have turned on ssl redirection, but that only works when access by domain.
if a user types in the direct port number either http://domain.com:2086
or http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2086
they can still get access to the non-ssl login page.
I need to be able to disable all port access to non-ssl login pages for ports 2086,2082 and 2095.
My servers are running CSF+LFD and i have tried removing the ports from the configuration, but i still can gain access.
Is There A Way To Block Direct Cpanel Login
Jan 24, 2007I use a login script on my hosting site. and i was wondering if there was any way or any program that would allow me to Block people from going mydomain.com then cpanel?
And forcing them to go to my site to use the cpanel login script on my website?
Im sure that if there was a way to disable Cpanel login it would aslo block the scipt on my site.
Is there a solution to my little perdicament here?
Any software or scripts that do what im looking for?
