I have 2 Cpanel VPS and a Cpanel reseller account, each of them with different providers.
What I would like to do is replicate my company's website, billing and support sites across the 3 locations, for achieving a fail over configuration.

My understanding is that if I join a webhosting company that operates the cPanel web control panel then my Outlook Express email program would get configured automatically.
However if the webhosting company were to be using DirectAdmin web control panel would I get the same benefit in this respect please?

Lets say I have abcd.com as the main domain on cpanel. abcd.com has 10 subdomains.
Basically what I want to do is when I do an addon domain or parked domain I want the subdomains to basically point to abcd.com automatically. Let's say the addon/parked
domain is 1234.com
For example I have
sub.abcd.com as the main subdomain
so when I type in sub.1234.com I want it pointed to sub.abcd.com internally meaning the script/files from there however in the browser show as if it were sub.1234.com

I have my own server which I use for my own websites.
I use the following features of WHM -
Creating accounts
Deleting accounts
Creating "packages" for my accounts
Restarting services
...and possibly one or two other items once or twice a year.
I use the following features in Cpanel -
Checking statistics
Adding e-mail accounts
...and possibly one or two other items once or twice a year.
I'd like to break the (small) WHM/Cpanel habit I have and do all of the above via the command line.
Is this a big task?
Where should I start?

How do I stop the common cpanel/whm "domain mismatch" security warning popup for good WITHOUT the need to install a server hostname certificate and access through that.
Is there a way to save the cert in the browser? I could not find that option and I am using Firefox 2.
