Stay Away From Lypha.com Or Imhosted.com

Sep 1, 2005

I signed up for there 1 year plan, i was waiting for 3 to 4 days and didnt got any response from them in regards of how to setup my account or whats next...

I called them several times.. It will take you to a dead voicemail even if you select any choices like "billing, sales.. etc. u will get "LEAVE A MESSAGE". If u leave ur phone number u will get "NO REPLY:

I send few emails to all there departments in regards of this issue. I will always get an automated reply... "We have forwarded it to the right department.. Thats's all.. nothing else..

I called my credit card company and told them to deny any payments from lypha. I send out a cancellating letter and refund if u charge me. Still a reply "We have forwarded it to the right department"..

If this is the case, if my site goes down i am sure that i will never get a support.

They do have some online supports named "Ashley.. blahh blaahh etc...". It will says they are currently online.. when u tried to chat it says "Leave a message"..

I been with many hosts but his is the first time i am seeing a host like this.. piece of crap...

ImHosted Won't Refund

Feb 23, 2009

if there is anything I can do to make ImHosted answer my emails. I signed up like two months ago. Asked a support question got no real answer. Just circles I guess they don't know much about hosting or just like talking in circles. So I canceled in about 3 or 4 hours. Then after a week of sending many emails they finally refunded after I started a paypal dispute. I forgot to cancel the subscription in paypal so the next month I was charged the 30 bucks. Now they answered first email and said they would take care of it.

Now two weeks has gone by they don't respond to any emails and the chat says that its billing and I have to contact them only by email. So now I guess I'll have to wait for paypal to try to get my money back. Its sad I don't have an account with them but they won't give back my money. I would watch using there service. There servers are deathly slow. Nothing works like it should. They have support chat but really all they do is have you submit a ticket.

Just Host Vs Imhosted

Oct 16, 2009

i am changing my hosts from hostgator to the JustHost or ImHosted.

I am trying to buy shared hosting plan. I DO NOT want a video sharing website. My website will serve around 100-150 videos of each 5 mints duration.

I am confused about speed of these hosts.

My questions are

1. How can i check the speed of these hosts (JustHost) & (ImHosted). (Any sample file download will do)

2. How can i know which of these host has the fastest data transfer rate to my country. (PAKISTAN)

3. ImHosted says it has OC-192, JustHost says it has OC-96. But how to confirm it?

I am inclined towards JustHost as they are way cheaper than ImHosted. But i am also concerned about speed. Will a OC-96 connection(JustHost) will serve a 5mint video well.?

Imhosted Vs GNAX - Users Can't Get To Site

Apr 21, 2008

I have a site hosted with Imhosted.

6 days ago, three users, one from Denmark, one from the UK and one from California - all reported connectivity trouble. I asked for tracert's from all three.

Two of them fail at 209.51.131.250 ( the California and Denmark one ) and one fails at 209.51.131.234

Both are GNAX servers.

I contacted Imhosted - and for 6 days they have ducked, dived, denied, and given me totally inappropriate stock replies ( such as asking me to check my IP address - when the actual affected IP addresses have already been supplied numerous times). They tried to fob me off saying it was an ISP issue ( two continents, at exactly the same time - yeah, right )

Imhosted have SAID, on two occasions, that they've contacted GNAX to have them fix the issue. So far, the problem remains for all three users.

Fortunately, we have a dedicated server of our own already, and we will be moving to it in the next few weeks. But meanwhile - what the hell can I do to rattle some sense into Imhosted and/or GNAX to get these poor guys back onto the site?

I've had three years of hell with Imhosted. Useless support, dreadful performance, unusable email, PHP and SQL issues - all in all, a dreadful experience.
