What Is RapidLeech?
Oct 27, 2009I've been advertising a bit recently trying to get some more clients and so far its been working. I've been offering 1 month free on any shared service using a promo code.
I've noticed alot of signups from various locations are running a script called rapidleech, should I be concerned about this? I've never heard of it, seems to be some sort of file sharing system.

May 22, 2008I want to set up a website that will run rapidleech and torrentflux. But my shared hosting account just isn’t cutting it anymore. It worked for awhile, but then they set stupid php resource limitations in and the scripts don’t work anymore. So I want an upgrade.
Should I look at VPS or Dedicated? I don’t want to spend more than $50/month, so I’m guessing that a crappy dedicated server is all I can get. There are some specific things that I would like to be able to do with my account.
1. WinRAR – I need to be able to pack and unpack files in the winrar format on my website through FTP. Would I need Linux/Unix or Windows hosting for this? I honestly am clueless about this.
2. Ability to run Rapidleech and TorrentFlux
3. Do I need to look for hosting that gives “root access” whatever that means? Someone told me that if I want to install WinRAR I must have “root access.”
Block Rapidleech Script?
Jul 29, 2009As most hosting company owners know, rapidleech is a very bad script which causes high CPU loads and abuses the server a lot. I do get a lot of abusive users like this on my shared hosting server, running the rapidleech script and abusing the server so much. I have to terminate, at least a few people a day. This is getting to be really annoying.
Is there anyway to block the rapidleech script for a cPanel/WHM server?
I've read that you can do this using Mod Security, but what do I put in my mod security configuration to block it?
Rapidleech is a script that allows anyone to upload the script to a server to download via rapidshare/megaupload to the server, which uses lots of hard drive, CPU, and RAM.

How Do I Install With RPM To Install Dependencies Also
Jul 22, 2008to installing linux software and have been beating my head for a couple of days. I just learned that I can use something on my CENTOS 5 - which is the same as RHEL 5 - to install the rpm and all dependencies.
Numeric-24.2-1.i586.rpm is the rpm I want to install, if that matters.

How To Install VPS's
Oct 6, 2009So i have a dedicated server and here are the specs:
AMD64 X2 7750+
8192 MB DDR2 RAM
500 GB 7.200 RPM
2000 GB Traffic p/m
CentOS 5.3
I want to install several VPS's on this server so i have one for shared users, one for reseller users and then the rest can be purchased. Unfortunately i have no idea how to install VPS's. Which is the best visualization software for VPS's? And how do i install and how to get whmcs to create them. Or are they already created?
I am also wondering about control panels and do vps's have to have their own separate control panel or do they all run of the main control panel.
Also what is the rule of thumb on how many vps's per server.

Jun 20, 2009I'm playing around with a test server, install Xen on a Centos 5 box.

I've tried two methods to create a vm.
virt-install
and
virt-install -x "ip=xxx.xxx.70.212 gateway=xxx.xxx.70.211 subnet=255.255.255.248"
If I do virt-install, it asks me this:
(first screenshot).
I have no idea what to put it. I did try this:

note: only here in my post am I actually putting "xxx" in the IP for privacy reasons only. The 70.212 is the main server IP that I ssh into.
