How Do I Update Awstats Software On A CPanel Server
Oct 27, 2009I would like to know if Awstats (the software itself, not the data) is updated automatically on cPanel based servers?
If not, is there a way to update it manually?
I would like to know if Awstats (the software itself, not the data) is updated automatically on cPanel based servers?

I'm not 100% sure where to ask this, so feel free to move it to a more appropriate place if necessary.
At present, my webhost provides me with some statistics about my website through "AWStats". The problem I have is that if I don't update the 'stats' everyday, then I lose that day's records and I have a gap in my statistics.
is there a way I can automate the updating of the AWStats?
I am moving from a shared hosting to a VPS, both using cPanel and AWStats and I would like to copy the past stats.
So can I just copy the tmp/awstats and upload it to my new account via FTP
I was wondering how can I monitor a shoutcast daemon with awstats -UNDER- CPanel.
Shoutcast creates a w3c log for that reason.
But how can I make the awstats "see" the log and then to parse it with the other awstats statistics in the client's cpanel?
Everytime that I've searched over the net with keywords cpanel awstats or shoutcast I get only ads of shoutcast or cpanel servers and no solution ...
The point is that my website (forum) is written in Russian and hosted by American hosting provider. The situation is the following, all requests under which my website can be found in search engines are currently displayed in English only. So, they are not displayed properly for non-English language websites. The question is that if it is possible to adjust Cpanel 11 settings in to see all the requests in Awstats statistics in Russain?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe had some issues with old server hence we migrated some websites to another new server from our old server.
We did a backup of all existing webfiles and database from old server and transferred the same to new server, a manual transfer few weeks ago.
However, we were not able to backup our awstats logs for this domains, can someone guide how to transfer awstats from old server to new server?
We cannot perform an automated transfer from old server to new server now, is there some way we can migrate our awstats from old server to new server for this domains?
An arbitrary file inclusion vulnerability has been discovered in the Horde
webmail application. At present, we can confirm that this security
vulnerability in question affects Horde 3.1.6 and earlier. Based on
incomplete information at this time, we also believe this affects Horde
Groupware 1.0.4 and earlier as well (cPanel does not use Horde Groupware
at this time).
cPanel customers should update their cPanel and WHM servers immediately to
prevent any chance of compromise. The patch will be available in builds
11.18.2 and greater (or 11.19.2 and greater for EDGE systems). The updated
builds will be available immediately to all fast update servers. The
builds will be available to all other update servers within one hour of
this posting.
To check which version of cPanel and WHM is on your server, simply log
into WebHost Manager (WHM) and look in the top right corner, or execute
the following command from the command line as root:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V
You can upgrade your server by navigating to 'cPanel' -> 'Upgrade to
Latest Version' in WebHost Manager or by executing the following from the
command line as root:
/scripts/upcp
It is recommended that all use of Horde 3.1.6 and earlier be stopped (on
cPanel and non-cPanel systems alike) until Horde updates can be applied.
You can disable Horde on your cPanel system by unchecking the box next to
'Server Configuration' -> 'Tweak Settings' -> 'Mail' -> 'Horde Webmail'
within WHM, and saving the page with the new settings.

I have done the initial setup (ip's nameservers etc..) but when I try and run apache update I get the following:
Premature end of script headers: /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/easyapache.pl: Please check /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log for the exact error.
I look in the log file but it just repeatse the above error and doesnt supply any additional info.
