Mar 11, 2015I wonder if there is any chance to change the domain that is being shown as the incoming/outgoing mail server to users of the Plesk Panel, when clicking on the "Info"-Icon near an e-mail-account in the mail list (see screenshot).
We only have a SSL certificate for one domain and want our customers to use this domain in their mail client settings, so that the client trusts the domain.

Jan 5, 2007My host gave refuge to a ROKSO spammer and got the C-block listed in SpamHaus and cant get it removed.
So they mapped a new, clean IP to my server and I need to change the IP that my MTA is sending out under. Since I didnt set this up and the guy who did is not avaliable to me ATM, I cant seem to figure this out.

Mar 1, 2008I have contacted hotmail asking why automated emails such as registration verification are being blocked and they said that my server's IP was on a blacklist for spam. I never spam and I do not think a bot has phished using my server's IP. Anyway, if I were to switch server IPs would that solve the problem?

I am on a VPS service (CentOS Linux) and I want my php mail function emails to send from a specified address. I've already manipulated the headers, so the emails do appear to come from the specified addres, but on mobile devices it comes up as nobody@server1.mydomain.com format. I would like this to read something like no-reply@mydomain.com

Mar 6, 2014we have identified a number of customers with weak passwords - we wish to send them an email and then wait 1 hour - then change their passwords to the new password we have identified - due to them being across multiple domains, we don't want to do this via the PPA web gui - it would take quite a long time.
What is/are the commands for changing mailbox password for SMTP/IMAP/POP3??
i.e., is there a PPA command for changing both sides of send/receive?

May 18, 2008We carried out a major clean up on our server but when i send out mail i get this message:
"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
xxxxmydomain@aol.com
The mail server could not deliver mail to xxxxmydomain@aol.com. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries."

I'm using Postfix 2.7.1 on Debian 6 with Plesk 11.0.9.
Currently the text of a bounce mail shows:
This is the mail system at host example.org.
Your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.
For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message.

And I'd like to get rid of address <_plesk_bounce_example.org@localhost.localdomain>.
I added the bouce file template to Postfix's config by:
postconf -e 'bounce_file_template = /etc/postfix/bounce.cf'
Restarted postfix.

Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Change Location Of Mail / Maildirs And SELINUX
Mar 2, 2015I have changed the maildir in Plesk according to [URL] ..... Everything works like a charm, however selinux doesn't allow access to the new directory. That means we get a permission denied and no mail is received at the server anymore.
Old location: /var/qmail/mailnames/
New location: /mnt/bigstorage/mailnames/
tail -f /var/log/maillog:
Mar 2 13:38:42 srv2 postfix-local[5983]: postfix-local: from=example@example.com, to=example@example.com, dirname=/mnt/bigstorage/mailnames/
Mar 2 13:38:42 srv2 postfix-local[5983]: cannot chdir to mailnames dir /mnt/bigstorage/mailnames: Permission denied
If we disable selinux, everything works, however this is not the best practice.
How can I fix this error without disabling selinux?
