We carried out a major clean up on our server but when i send out mail i get this message:

"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

xxxxmydomain@aol.com

The mail server could not deliver mail to xxxxmydomain@aol.com. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries."

CPanel E-mail :: IMAP Folders Automatically Created That Can't Be Deleted

With version 11.48, I have some new mailboxes Junk and Archive that can't be deleted. Even deleting them from the command line, they are instantly recreated.

I think this has something to do with iOS autoconfigure. I can't configure my mail in iOS to choose any folder other than Archive for archiving emails. If I make a change, it doesn't stick.

I tried turning off Autoconfigure/Autodiscover but it didn't fix the issue.

Mail delivery reports shows 2 messages being delivered 7 times.The end user only got one of each though. Any reasons why it shows 3 of one and 4 of the other.

I am using a shared unix server on Namecheap, and I am trying to learn how to have an email message automatically and immediately become deleted from my server via action I take in my mail client.I am using IMAP. My mail client is Mac Mail, which has two ways to delete a message:

1) Select the message and hit the Delete key or Trash Can icon. This, according to my Mac Mail preference setting, moves the message off the server and into a Trash folder on my computer. I can then have the Trash purge or not in various times and ways according to my settings. This is where I put messages that I don't yet want to permanently delete.

2) Select the message and hit Command-X. According to Apple, this action permanently deletes the message.

However what really happens via #2 above depends on the server's settings and/or functionality.In my case, until today the message went into a Deleted Messages folder per each mailbox, and there it was staying until I went in via a webmail client and manually deleted it.

The server's Trash folder per each mailbox remains empty.But Namecheap's tech support insists that these Deleted Messages folders are not default folders of theirs and that they were created by Mac Mail or my iphone's Mail app.

So I went in through cPanel and deleted all these folders.Now, when I hit Command-X on a selected message, the message disappears from Mac Mail but stays in the server's inbox with a Strikethrough across it (Horde) or greyed out (Roundcube). To permanently delete it via webmail, I have to manually select it in Roundcube and hit the webmail's Trash Can (Delete) icon.

But what I really want to do is have it disappear completely from my server and my device at the moment that I select it and hit Command-X, not be crossed out or greyed out or sent into a Trash or Deleted Messages folder.What do I configure in cPanel to make this happen?

I have recently upgraded the software on my server to CentOS 6.6 and WHM 11.46.2

I have a client who has a wordpress website now finds his email is not being delivered to one of his clients. I do not host his DNS nor his email. Apparently when he removes his email from the wordpress footer his email is delivered. Data Centre advise all is fine. MXTool box indicates I am listed on backscatterer, do not have open relay,and no SPF records found.

How can i change the content of the bounce email?

I'm using Postfix 2.7.1 on Debian 6 with Plesk 11.0.9.

Currently the text of a bounce mail shows:

This is the mail system at host example.org.

Your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message.

And I'd like to get rid of address <_plesk_bounce_example.org@localhost.localdomain>.

I added the bouce file template to Postfix's config by:

I have needed to trace a few emails through the system for the last week or so. When I come to run a report now it only shows the deferred emails instead of all sent (and those with warnings). Has this changed by design and how can I revert back to the old method as it was quite useful to us to be able to see that it had arrived at a users mailbox?

I am currently running CLOUDLINUX 6.6 x86_64 standard – mrdigitalhost WHM 11.48.1 (build 2) am currently hosting a client's website/emails on our server that requires split delivery of mail from Google Apps.For example, my client wants 7 email addresses set up.

2 E-mails to be routed to Google Apps
5 to be on the server mail system using POP3

Firstly, I set up the MX records of the domain, let's call it bbb.com to point to Google Apps mail servers.That's fine and works perfectly, the 2 e-mails I've set work perfectly.I then set up E-mail Routing on Google apps to point to the mail server, lets call aaa.com, so essentially any email account that receives an email that doesn't have a Google Apps account, will be re-routed to aaa.com for delivery.

Now, I need to set up 5 email accounts on the server via CPANEL, which I easily set up.Once this is done, I send an e-mail to an account set up on the CPANEL server but get this error:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:test@domain.com.au

Technical details of permanent failure:Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain mail.aaa.com by mail.aaa.com [103.13.XXX.XX].

The error that the other server returned was:
550-Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client.
550-mail-ie0-f181.google.com [209.85.223.181]:40540 is not permitted to relay
550 through this server without authentication.

I called Google and they advised that once I install some SPF records, that shouldn't happen anymore. Well, I did that on both aaa.com and bbb.com and the problem still occurs, the same SMTP authentication error.What I did as a test to ensure that after fixing this, it will work - is whitelist the google ip address to see what happens. Once I whitelisted the addresses, the below bounceback came up instead:

we receive too much spam. We access e-mail with Thunderbird and IMAP with SSL. This could from all those IMAP requests and also Thunderbird, which he said is buggy and poorly developed. I'm planning to transfer mailboxes to Outlook 2013 using POP3, but don't know will this be enough?

Configuring SPAM filters by domain I think will be problematic, because we might exclude hotel guests e-mails. I plan for some kind of content filtering. E-mails from last 1-2 years are important and we want to archive them. If I use POP3, I must configure some server for backup of all those messages somewhere, because they will be stored on the local computers. Is there any solution to backup them periodically?

I am not having skills as a WHM admin, but I understand things slowly. Under Mail Delivery Reports, I can see reports of all the mails Sent/Receive. Which means in the report, either Sender is from my server or Receiver is from my server. In both cases I see a new entry in Reports. But I have an issue, there is this one email id for which im receiving reports everyday. Im afraid if this is any kind of spam or something. I also dont know how to stop it. I just have the panel access but not the console because system is setup somewhere else by the Hosting provider. Is there anything I can do to Block these mails. Im sharing a screen shot of those mails I receive.

As soon as we create a new account on any domain name, and we try to send a test mail from any email address (hotmail, yahoo, our internet provider etc.. ) we get a bounce back email with the following:

I'm relatively new to the email side of things in cpanel...

I've read other threads about this, but my question is slightly different.

I want to have an email automatically forward to a gmail account, and then be deleted from my godaddy's server webmail

From what I've reading other threads, people just set up the forwarder and then delete the webmail account, and it'll still forward.

As far as I'm aware, I can't do this, because in order for my GMAIL account to respond to emails using the domain email, there needs to be an actual webmail account.

I've got everything set up, the GMAIL account (so the from is the domain email) and the forwarder, the only issue is that the emails are stored on the godaddy server as well as being forwarded to gmail.

I just want it so the godaddy server doesn't store any emails.

I'm receiving over 25 000 emails all the time... Someone from italy spamming emails, spam is not being sent from mine server but they are spoofing mine site as the sending domain so it looks like its comming from me, getting the bounce notices all the time... it also load my cpus more than a bit.
