After upgrading from V11 to V12 : file not found in the central Frame
After upgrading from V11 to V12 version, I enter my credentials to login and when I get the main page, I have in the main frame : "File not found". : See screenshot
I currently have a basic level VPS and was wondering if it is wise to upgrade apache from 1.3 to 2.2 and php to 5?
I am not quite sure why do I want to upgrade when everything is already running smoothly but it's just if something better exist then why not take advantage of that?
Anyone who can advise if this is going to a be a wise move? I have quite a few sites running on php so might have issues with newer version.
I have Apache 2.4.6 running without problem on Windows 7 Ultimate.
I upgraded to Apache 2.4.9 by:
Stopping Apache; Renaming the 2.4.6 directory to "old"; Extracting the files from the zip to the Apache directory; and Copying the old httpd.conf to the Apache directory. After rebooting I found that I could not access localhost (or 127.0.0.1).
I then reverted to Apache 2.4.6. Localhost is now working.
I just ran a simple yum update php on the server, because I need to be running 5.2 instead of 5.1.6
The update went smoothly, so I restarted httpd, and all hell broke loose. Apache can't start because of a whole lot of missing modules. So I commented out every single LoadModule line to see if that would get it to start, and it started complaining about the configuration file of some other software being incorrect (because that configuration file pointed to some module that no longer exists)
At one point I was able to get apache to start, I believe by copying my old configuration file to httpd.conf and then commenting out some lines that it was complaining about. Apache started, but no pages were loading.
So right now, basically, I've got no web service running at all on the server. I really didn't expect all of these problems for a simple PHP update, but obviously I was mistaken.
Is it worth trying to fix this myself (intermediate linux user here) or would it just be easier to hire someone to come in and do it for me?
i installed httpd from yum and all ok.When i check my site via acunetix vulnerability scanner says Apache version older than 2.2.8.So it is vulnerable.
I must upgrade httpd to newer version but i cant.
Yum update says that httpd 2.2.3 is latest but ITS NOT.
I noticed when installing latest version of APF 0.9.6.3 over the previous version 0.9.6.2 it will import all the variable and ports settings from conf.apf and allow_hosts.rules files of the previous version. so there will be no need to edit or configure any thing any more when upgrading APF exept setting DEVEL_MODE to 0 and restart APF.
I have just started joining these type of forums because im planning to set up another web site and i guess that it would really help if i enter these forums to have a better judgement and make the best choice. Ive had my other hostings from go daddy and midphase but i wasnt relly happy with the results and the downtime... ive read some forums about globat, if im not mistaken my web developer has made me a website from globat for almost a year and we had minor problems.
Sometimes my apache gets hanged due to memory leak or persistence connection, then needs to be restarted manually, how can I make this process automatic, that is it get restarted whenever it got hanged or shutdown?
I have centos -7 and apache 2.4.6. I have made one small php scripts and measuring the performance of server.
Average time is around 15 ms for per request. But when adding concurrent requests the average time increase too much high for the request see the below output
ab -n 10000 http://127.0.0.1/1.php
Connection Times (ms) min mean[+/-sd] median max Connect: 0 0 0.0 0 0 Processing: 14 17 2.6 15 35 Waiting: 0 1 0.2 1 10 Total: 14 17 2.6 15 35
With Concurrent connections
ab -n 1000 -c 100 http://127.0.0.1/1.php See the processing the mean request time its around 150 ms.
Connection Times (ms) min mean[+/-sd] median max Connect: 0 0 1.1 0 5 Processing: 25 150 24.7 153 213 Waiting: 2 134 25.2 138 194 Total: 29 150 24.1 153 216
ab -n 1000 -c 100 http://127.0.0.1/1.php See the processing the mean request time its around 150 ms when total request is 1000 only.
Connection Times (ms) min mean[+/-sd] median max Connect: 0 0 1.1 0 5 Processing: 25 150 24.7 153 213 Waiting: 2 134 25.2 138 194 Total: 29 150 24.1 153 216
How to configure the Apache so the request time decreas to low ms ???
In Centos -7 Default configuration of MPM Directory also not found ??? checked in httpd.conf and other file also.
I have one bare server and installed everything myself. however, I found apache, mysqld can not automatically start after reboot, may I know how to enable them to automatically start after reboot?
I'm considering switching hosting to NameCheap to save some money over my current hosting plan. I've never had a problem with their registrar service. I did a search for reviews on their hosting service. There were some negative ones a few years back when they were selling PeopleHost hosting, but they apparently have their own hosting now.
I found a few posts with issues, but there always has to be a few. However, if 3 of 10 customers have problems, it's a lot different than if 3 of 10,000 customers have problems. Anyone have an idea of how many sites they host?
Also, what's the latest word from people using their hosting services? Any good? How about response time and up time?
SecurityMetrics has determined that we are not COMPLIANT with the PCI scan validation requirement for our server.
The remote host is running a version of the Exim MTA which is vulnerable to several remote buffer overflows. Specifically, if either 'headers_check_syntax' or 'sender_verify = true' is in the exim.conf file, then a remote attacker may be able to execute a classic stack- based overflow and gain inappropriate access to the machine. *** If you are running checks with safe_checks enabled, this may be a false positive as only banners were used to assess the risk! *** It is known that Exim 3.35 and 4.32 are vulnerable. Solution: Upgrade to Exim latest version Risk Factor: High
HOW DO i Upgrade to Exim latest version? I am on WHM/Cpanel 11 (centos 5) I never did this before.
Is it safe to upgrade to the latest Linux kernel version 2.6.19.2 (released on January 10th, 2007) ? Is there any reported problems or have anyone faced issues after upgrading?
I am trying to install some packages on my system and sometimes they depend on different, sometimes earlier, sometimes later versions of library packages on my system.
In that situation is it better to get the source for the package and recompile it with what you have on your system?
I am assuming that the dependent libraries the packages where compiled with were what was available on the package developer's system and do not necessarily contain new features lacking in the older versions.
Will recompling such packages from the source rpms fix the problems in most cases?
One particular group I persistently come across is the libcX.so libraries.
Tried migrating a site from a much older server. The migration never completed, so it was aborted and all the migration files deleted. Now, I'm getting the following error on the Plesk Home page:
