Apache :: Make Subdomain Appear As Directory?

I have an ecommerce store. dns at godaddy. A record www points to the 3dr party hosted shopping cart solution on ip a.a.a.a. I also have a blog. A record blog subdomain points to another server b on ip b.b.b.b hosted away from the shopping cart server a completely.
So www goes one place and blog goes to another.The problem is I need to somehow make the blog appear within the main site as URL...blog instead of as a subdomain blog.domain.com.
I cannot access or modify the hosted shopping cart server in any way. I cannot load wordpress there, that is why it is on a completely separate server.I've been told this is perhaps possible with a reverse proxy configuraton on server b where ip b.b.b.b is.So that even though blog. points to server b it can appear that the url is www.mydomain.com/blog and the blog pages off that directory as well.Can this be done via reverse proxy?

I'm trying to create a directory, "hello", so I log in via SSH and CD to /proc, as this is where I want the directory to be. I type, "mkdir hello" and I get the following;
mkdir: cannot create directory `hello': No such file or directory
I've searched around for the error, and I've found two mentioned problems;
Persmissions
Parent directory doesn't exist.
However, the parent directory; /proc does exist and it has the permissions 7777.

I have an upload feature in my site.. On upload i check the file extention of the uploaded file.. But recently a person uploaded a file like xx.php.jar and as the extention is jar it got uploaded.. But when we go to the file through url it gets executed as php... So any solution how can i stop execution of php files in my upload directory

Followed the guide over at [url]to get proftpd setup.
It only lists ways to create a single upload directory and a single download directory.
Tried all possible ways to get a directory creating allowing read/write but so far unsuccessful.
how this can be acheived?

It's not there. O_o Cuz you know how when you create subdomains in cpanel, it will create a folder for you? I wanted to do it where,

doesn't rely on that folder, but acts more like a public_html directory.

i'd like to use a code similar to the one below, to rewrite a sub directory to a subdomain. www.domain.com/aoa/info/ to info.domain.com and then error 301 if someone goes to www.domain.com/aoa/info/ directly

I have a problem here.
I have 2 domain on 1 account, which one is called domainA.com & domainB.com is an add-on.
I created 2 same subdomain name which are assigned to same subfolder!
subdomain.domainA.com (/public_html/subdomain)
subdomain.domainB.com (/public_html/subdomain)
The question is: How do i change domainB subdomain folder to something else? (eg. /public_html/domainb/subdomain)

Wordpress installation (WPML with 3rd level domain es. site. com, fr. site. com).
I need to redirect page from subdomain to a new subdomain
Example:
esp.site.com/oldpage -> es.site.com/newpage (different subdomain)
esp.site.com/oldpage1 -> es.site.com/newpage
esp.site.com/oldpage2 -> es.site.com/newpage
Source site is very chaotic and there are no clear rule for redirection (no regex )
So I need to redirect every page but syntax:
Redirect 301 esp.site.com/oldpage http:// es.site.com/newpage
doesn't work!
which is the correct syntax ?
Can I manage all from one .htaccess file in main root (www) or should I create "esp" directory (and point old subdomain to it - one for every language) and put .htaccess in every directory with redirection ?

I'm setting up a SAAS service which is built on top of Laravel. To put it simply the service itself knows whether its being called from a sub.example.com or just example.com and serves a correct response accordingly. So going to sub.example.com will use the same index.php file as example.com but the routes and controllers within the application will provide a different response. sub.example.com will show a tenant login page where as example.com will show a new tenant subscription page or something else.
So when someone new subscribes I add a new entry to the database with a subdomain name for them and when a request comes from that subdomain and they are logged in it will show them their information. Easy right.
There is a problem though with setting it up with Plesk. When I add a wildcard subdomain, it will look for /subdomains/sub/ for the files which is a bit problematic since I want it to serve the files from the same place as the domain example.com.
Is there a way to configure that so that regardless of the subdomain it will try and serve the exact same content as my main domain?

we've been running our software on apache 1.3 for years with no problems. We have a new server running apache2 and now none of our mod_rewrite works. Is there something extra that needs to be done with apache 2 to get mod_rewrite working? The module is definitely loaded (first thing I checked). If we turn on allowOverride from None to All in the httpd.conf we get completely blank pages. Our regular php pages work fine with allowoverride set to none, but they all break when it is set to all. Please help. This is the second time we have run into this on apache 2 servers.

I am a beginner in Apache Web server, whether it is possible to make some rewrite function ( or something similar ) to add some text on url from access ?

I did link http://someusername:somepassword@domen.com/testurl?username=someusername:somepassword but some users delete from ?username=someusername:somepassword from link and I have a problem to monitoring that lines !

i have made my all pages with .html extension and hence my SEO is based on accordingly. Now i made some changes to htaccess that causes to not inclusion of header and footer pages (both are made with .php extension ). so i decided to change the extension of pages (.html to .php) and it wokrs. due to SEO and large number of pages i want all my pages .php (made later). to get converted automatically with .html in browser. so is it possible using .htaccess rewrite.

I was recently inroduced to lighttpd being able to run on apache with a different port. So I setup my lighttpd that way.

Okay now that i figure it works I wanted to run one of my subdomain on lighty so that I can reduce the load on the server. Does anyone know how I can setup one of my subdomain to open with lighttpd and keep everything else on apache?

In my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate) I host my sites with Apache 2.2.25 - mod_fcgid-2.3.6-win32-x86 and PHP 5.4.28. In "httpd-vhosts.conf" file from Apache I have my domain set as follows and work fine (http://www.example.com or http://example.com):

Error.log files for "director.example.com" and Apache is empty. How can I configure the subdomain to work?

I would like to rewrite mysite.com to www.mysite.com.
However, if the request is a subdomain (i.e. blabla.mysite.com), then it should not rewrite.
I believe this gets me close, but it will not differentiate the subdomains (i.e., blabla.mysite.com).

I am trying to get Apache to disable .htaccess overrides and php for a certain directory (and it's subdirectories).
I can disable PHP scripting using a .htaccess file containing:

I now want to disable .htaccess overrides, which Apache's documentation says is only possible in a <Directory> directive. I have therefore attempted to add the following to the website's Virtual host in httpd.conf:

However, the above posted .htaccess file (which is located in /home/ceejayce/www/dropbox/2007/.htaccess) still runs and disables ExecCGI and Indexes. So, it looks like the <Directory> directive is not being processed? I have tried it outside the virtual host, straight into the config file - but it works the same way.
Apache's error log says nothing, other than ExecCGI is off in this directory and Directory Index is forbidden (so basically it's reading the options from the .htaccess file and applying them).
I want to make a folder than can only serve static content (no php etc).

May be this is a stupid question, but I really don't know why I can't list the files in the root folder of a website(I didn't put any index.html or index.php in the folder).
I point my domain.com to /home/user/docs, the server can list domain.com/test/ files. But it can't list the files of domain.com/. It just shows the page at /var/www/htm, if I don't have any index file under /home/user/docs.
I have this in the httpd.conf file:

When I enter my_domain.com the browser displays index.php located in httpdocs on my server. When I enter my_domain.com/main/ the browser displays another page, but there's no directory "main" in my httpdocs. Somehow it's redirected to another location (but in URL bar in the browser it's still my_comain.com/main/). I need to find that location.
As I searched through the web, such redirection can be made in .htaccess file, but I can't locate this one either. My server is Apache on CentOS6, and httpdocs directory is located in /var/www/vhosts/my_domain.com. I searched for .htaccess in several locations that I googled, I also tried executing "find / -type d -name '.htaccess'" on PuTTy, but it gives no results.

When I open my site in a browser and I point the URL to specifically // ipaddress / location A it's all good. (Apache Server)..My problem is, if you open the site in a browser with just the IP address alone it goes there for a second and then automaticlly goes to and opens the other site in location // ipaddress / location B.
However, what I need it to do, I think, is edit the apache conf file to make it open location A as the default. What do I need to do in the apache (httpd-conf) to fix that? For that matter is that the right file to edit?

I would like to write a rewrite rule that does the following:
RewriteEngine On
Redirect 301 URL...
So what I want is that the first url is rewritten to go to the second ..I have a whole bunch of links that I have to redirect, so I would like to place them all into one .htaccess file or into the default configuration file of apache. So what I do not want is to create SomeFolder1 and someOtherFolder2 and to place a .htaccess file into that place in order to make it work. In fact I want to ignore the folders of the old link and only use the pagename.

Switched from NGINX to Apache2 and now having challenge getting my subdomain s to work properly. Everything worked fine w/ NGINX - so I don't think this is related to my DNS or hosts file setup.
PROBLEM: Calls to dev.domain-name.org are going to www.domain-name.org.
I have tried many different changes to the conf files... NameVirtualHost changes, VirtualHost changes... I can't count how many times I have restarted Apache now.
Here is my setup:
