I have a reseller account with a US-based company, and have a client who needs a SSL certificate for his ecommerce site. Is it possible to install a third-party SSL certificate (such as the one of Godaddy) or is going with the one offered by my host the only option?

I am continuously getting this error message in my error_logs
Invalid method in request x16x03x01
I searched and found out that it is something to do with httpd.conf configurations and SSL. So I asked my provider to check it and solve. First they acknowledge that it was SSL issue but later I was told
Quote:
Since cPanel controls how the virtualhosts are configured this error most likely cannot be fix since cPanel will just revert the change. ..... The SSL connection with the selfsigned cert works beyond kicking out the error, but again cPanel controls the httpd.conf and how the * virtualhosts are configured.
So my question is, Is it common to have this error message with a cPanel VPS?
Is there any solution?
I think I hit this error every time when I login to WHM or cPanel of every domain.
Should this be fixed or it's not exactly an issue.

Ran an update on my CPANEL setup and I got four emails from WHM that say:
Certificate for courier-pop3d on hostname.domain.com will expire in less then 30 days. You should install a new certifcate as soon as possible. You can install a new certificate in WHM under "Manager Service SSL Certificates", or by clicking this link: [url]
Certificate for exim on hostname.domain.com will expire in less then 30 days. You should install a new certifcate as soon as possible. You can install a new certificate in WHM under "Manager Service SSL Certificates", or by clicking this link: [url]
Certificate for cpanel on hostname.domain.com will expire in less then 30 days. You should install a new certifcate as soon as possible. You can install a new certificate in WHM under "Manager Service SSL Certificates", or by clicking this link: [url]
Certificate for courier-imapd on hostname.domain.com will expire in less then 30 days. You should install a new certifcate as soon as possible. You can install a new certificate in WHM under "Manager Service SSL Certificates", or by clicking this link: [url]
Anyone suffered the same thing. I can probably pin this to the update of CPanel. But I want to make sure of whats the correct steps to take upon receiving this.
As I don't want to install some new CERTS as my WHM is telling me to if its a dupe.

I've set up a few domains in WHM, though I noticed when I use Ping Plotter to do a traceroute on the domain, the result always shows host.mydomain.com as the last stop, instead of just mydomain.com:
Code:
Target Name: mydomain.com
"
"
12 84 ms CWIE-LLC.car1.Chicago1.Level3.net [43.793.208.66]
13 82 ms [80.71.21.100]
14 84 ms host.mydomain.com [23.32.14.91]
I was wondering, how can I configure the DNS in WHM so the last stop is just mydomain.com?

i spent quite some time, but its just not working.
i own a domain called exampledomain.com
now i give hostname as quick.exampledomain.com
and in my registrar i have added ns1.exampledomain.com and ns2, and to the ip addresses that were bound to my VPS.
now when i go to cpanel setup, and add ns1.exampledomain.com, it will binditself to my main server public IP.
when i add ns2 and ns3, it will not work.

I am getting a problem that after my reseller client's clients sign in to their cpanel they see server.myhostname.com url in their address bar. This started after upgrading to cpanel 11 yesterday
I have these options set in whm:
** When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail WITHOUT SSL, you can choose to redirect to:
Origin Domain Name
** When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail with SSL, you can choose to redirect to:
SSL Certificate Name
Webmail is extremely slow as well for some reason.

I have an existing server running cpanel that I would like to change the hostname on. What I am curious about, is the effects on the rest of the server if I go and change it. From what I can tell, the current host name is being used all over the place, and I don't know if cpanel updates everything on it's own, or if I would need to manually update everything after I change the name.
