How To Enable Fsockopen
i use a script that needs fsockopen and curl to work. also i installed curl, but couldn't enable fsockopen. how i can do that? i'm using centos, php5, cpanel etc etc..
i looked php.ini, disable_functions is empty..

Warning: Fsockopen(): Unable To Connect To 127.0.0.1:25
Yesterday I had to install a renewed SSL Certificate. Managed to get it installed, in Plesk under domains/www_mydomain_com, but I also deleted the default SSL from the server/certificates area... So then I was getting an dns 500 error when browsingour site and I could not start httpd from within plesk. Went in through SSH and tried to start it from there and got and error stating it could not find the SSLCA cert it was looking for. So I edited my httpd.include file to point to my new certificate. Now http works, but my email has stopped? What gives how could the two be related! I can log into my webmail, compose message and when I send I get: Warning: fsockopen(): php_hostconnect: connect failed in /usr/share/psa-horde/pear/Net/Socket.php on line 108 Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to 127.0.0.1:25 in /usr/share/psa-horde/pear/Net/Socket.php on line 108 I have started and stopped psa, qmail. Rebooted the server. I tried the telnet localhost 25 but I get connection refused. Anytime I check qmail status it says stopped. Don't know if that is right or not. I know I am not recieving emails asI have sent many today through other accounts and they all come back undeliverable. We do run an online store as well so I am kinda nervous when our email goes down! Time to hire a server admin? I am running Plesk 7.5.4 on Red Hat 9 on a Virtual Dedicated Server with GoDaddy. Enable Hotlinking
I moved my website from one server to another just today and my site has a rank on another website. The ranking site lets me display my rank on my website through a hotlink to their site. When I moved my site to the new server, I can't see the image. On the old server, I could always see the image. This is a strange issue since in Firefox, I see the image load and then it tells me the image is empty. But when I open the image's URL, I can see it just fine. I've reloaded the page over and over again, but I don't get anything. The same applies to IE. What's even more strange is when I use a proxy, I can see the image just fine through my browser.

Enable Root Password On Freebsd
How would I go about enabling the root user on a FreeBSD 6.1 system? I've got a dedicated colocated server (hardware, not virtual) and I can't for the life of me do anything with root. I can't "su", I can't "sudo", and I can't "passwd root". I've tried different shells, etc, but nothing works. I am the server admin, but I'm doing it remotely and I just can't figure this out. I know it's not, but I'm going to ask it for the sake of it being out there anyway: Is it possible that the server lacks a root user and that I'm unable to create one?

I have been trying to get mod_rewrite to work on my CentOS server running the BQ. Now what i need is to be allowed to use .htaccess files to use mod rewrite to allow me to use SEO urls. [Apache2] Enable/disable Concurrent Connections
Currently I use WHM/cPanel latest on a few boxes, I have (at least to my knowledge) copied the exact compile settings between servers, yet some of my servers allow me to do concurrent file downloads (using DownThemAll or another "accelerator") whilst others only let me make 1 connection. These servers also don't show me the final filesize while downloading. So my question is, what did I set/unset to cause this to happen? It's been bugging me for a month or so now and no amount of recompiling has fixed the issue (aside from a clean install of the OS/cPanel). I can provide a list of modules and other config settings if required.

Migration From IMail 8.0 To Mail Enable / JMail
One of our client is switching servers and the old one had iMail 8.0 but he cant afford the same on his own dedicated server. We are planning to use either Mail Enable or JMail as the replacement. We have 450 mail accounts on iMail and we will have to migrate them as well. What do you recommend will be the easiest and better? JMail Professional Edition or Mail Enable Professional Edition?
