Was actually wondering what you guys recommend as far HostGator Reselling opportunity vs HostRocket re-selling opportunity. I came prepared for this questions, so here are my goals:
Goals:
Long Term - I've biz established already and would like to add hosting as unlimited bonuses and even start a hosting business slowly as my own forums start to pick intensity
The 24-month option of HostRocket seems irresistable with unlimited bandwidth and 1tb of space (as their chat), kind of skeptical as it isn't in writing, but it seems they have a better offter at first then Hostgator, but they don't provide a billing system like: whmautopilot. PL nameservers are also $2/month with HostRocket, but Hostgator reseller options has them included.
Am I missing something guys? Tried my best to describe this, let's see!
I'm with HostRocket for 2 months now. First month I was quite happy. Everything was quite ok and I was happy.
After the first month, they contacted my and told that I was putting heavy load on the server. I had 3 sites with them with a total of 11.000 unique visitors. allthough I was disappointed, I understood that this could be heavy for them so moved my biggest site to another host (which I'm quite happy now) and left my other 2 small sites with them. (as I have prepaid for 1 year) 2 weeks before, I begun to get database connection errors frequently. 1 minute after, sites were loading fine so I didn't mind. for last a few days, I get too many database connections and they last long.
I sent a support ticket 2 hours ago and still waiting a response.
after all these issues, I got quite dissapointed. before going to HostRocket, I have looked for the HostRocket reviews and was not able to find a recent one. So I'm writing this review for people who think to go to HostRocket.

I am trying to reach a site hosted by hostrocket dot com. The site is www dot sadoun dot com slash forum dot htm. Whenever I enter that in the URL of my browser (SeaMonkey, FireFox, IE, Chrome), the site just sits there and blinks and blinks and blinks, etc. If I use a proxy service and change my IP to something that begins with e.g. "69", I can get in with no problem.
The general issue of the "173" problem has been discussed at dslreports under the subject of "What's with the 173 IP". Basically, the IP "173" was a former test IP for ARIN. Since it was released over a year ago, most hosting services have made the adjustment and accept "173" has a valid IP address. But not Hostrocket.
I have emailed Hostrocket at the address provided by Godaddy's Whois service but have received no response. I have asked the owner of www dot sadoun dot com to see if he could fix it and he is working on it.
Is there anything else I can do to get the Hostrocket hosting service to address this problem?
