Hostpc Or Ragekihosting

what is going on with hostsimplex but for some reason my rpg game is not working to well on their system.
Another issue is I have a very hard time getting a hold of any one when some thing goes wrong.
A few days ago hostsimplex was down for over an hour, I was at first thinking it was my computer so I ran pings and other tests and I could ping google just fine. So I then went to downforeveryoneorjustme and it showed my site down. I then went to hostsimplex.com and that did not come up so checked that with the downforeveryoneorjustme site and it also showed it down. So then I asked a few people on yahoo, skype and they could not get to the site either.
Called the phone number for hostsimplex and got a message saying they got a new phone number, Called the new phone number and it went straight to vmail twice.
So after all of that I looked to see if I could find my back up and made sure it had all the files. It had all the files and was only a day old but after I came here for a little bit in the offers section and looked for another directadmin host my site did come back up.
How ever do to not always being able to get a hold of any one, do not get me wrong when you are able to get a hold of some one the service is great and they are very friendly just with that and my rpg system not working even after a reinstall. Well its working just not displaying information correctly.

I stated hosting with them back in the first part of October when hostsimplex closed shop on me.
hostpc is an interesting host they do have a very powerful server which is able to run my site with very few issues or complaints which is good so will say they have great service and do have me impressed by the servers them selves. Even the load which I look at from time to time has not been above 1 every time I look at it its been 0.some thing but it is possible it has gone above that when I have not looked at it.
I only had 2 or 3 times when the site was down. One time it was down for over 6 hours do to a router failure which they did post on thier own site that customers would be given a credit. So after seeing tht I replied to the ticket about the outage and asked about the credit. and was given a fairly rude reply and told to wait until they update the news post about it. So I kept an eye on the news post for several days and gave up after about 2 or 3 weeks of seeing no update. After that I just kind of took the credit as a lie or they forgot.
I do want to cover my own opinion about the support. The support is complicated to explain. Tickets answered by any one other then Joe is fine and friendly but the ones, not all of them but must of the ones answered by Joe have been a bit rude and I get the feeling from the way its worded that he could care less if I am a customer or a happy customer.
The first case of that was when I opened a ticket about a symolic link that i needed to have in order to save at least 6 gigs of space on the server. Me mentioned alternatives but the way he worded it was making it sound that I have to do the alternatives and not only that but I felt he was not listening to what I ws asking for or needing. so I tried to explain what I needed it for in a reply well a symbolic link was set up after a while. the worst part about this was when I created a topic here about my first impressions and mentioned that, hostpc's reply to that topic was rude and a bit upsetting as the first impression thread was a thank you too them so it was like being spit in the face.
Another rude reply from support was when I was having trouble with the spam filter. To give you a little history around the time I signed up I asked in the irc about what to do to set up the spam filter and I was just sent a link to a pdf file so ok I saved that but did not get to it right away but a few days late or so I went ahead and opened up that pdf and did what it said and I get an error so I opened a ticket on the error and I got a rude reply and was asked if I opend a ticket on getting spam filter set up as its not set up by default and you have to open a ticket to get it set up. I was not told that when I asked in IRC, his reply was that it was in the welcome email well I got 3 of those and yes it was in the first one but not the last 2 and the last one was the one I was told not to ignore as it had my account info in it.
Any way I made a graph that shows support levels as well as service levels of hosts that I have had through the years that are still around today, I made this as I was going to have a long post on comparing host pc ot post hosts I have had but this is less wordy and more fun..

ive been with ragekiwebhosting now for 45 days. my site is fswh.info. i bought a small shared reseller to test the waters. i chose them because i was looking for a host who uses a canadian data center and i was also looking for direct admin as well. im pleased with the uptime so far. support is available online normally through msn chat, although ive had no major issues in needing them but it is nice to know they are available. ive emailed support a few times with some minor questions, and ive received responses within a reasonable time realizing even a web host has other responsibilities in this world. im quite pleased with my experience so far.

I got hostpc after hostsimplex.com closed down.
They have been very helpful in getting my site back up and running. I had a few issues like unable to get the back up of my sql to restore so I uploaded the back up and they restored that for me. Nice guys.
An interesting issue came up which required me to have a symbolic link well could have gone with out it but would have made it so one of my sites was down for a few more days.
Basically the symbolic link allows 2 sites I run to have the same games with out taking up any more space on the server. Actually this was hostsimplex's idea and they created the link. How ever I could not restore that link or figure out how it was made to after opening a ticket with hostpc I got one made.
But not right away cuz I was first told it would not work, which had me kind of puzzled so I told them hostsimplex had that file so I know it works just I am not sure how they did it. Any way they did get a symblolic linke, 2 in fact one I could not delete and another one. I had them delete the one I did not need and got the other one working.
I will say they are very good people and very helpful. They even put up with my frustrating of things not going right which was not thier fault.

ive been with Ragekihosting.com for 6 months now, and im quite happy with the service i am receiving from them. no complaints whatsoever. uptime has been great, and excellent communication regarding when they will be performing maintenance on the servers etc. i highly recommend. site: fswh.info.
