What are the pros/cons to configuring my hosts to use my own DNS servers directly, instead of my upstream provider's?

I am running on my VPS the WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R17853 (Release version), I have noticed that I can't delete one of the Email Forwarders which is forward the emails to pipe program (see the attached image). I have tried to restart cPanel services & delete again, no luck.

Could some one point where is located the file, to overwrite it manually, please?
