I need to copy all /etc directory and subdirectory to another /etc (source and destenation name is same)
So all need to be replace (all destenation files and folders must replace with source files and directorys)
i know "cp -r /root/etc /etc" is ok for above details.
but its need to type "y" caracter for each file replacement.
How can run this command for automatic replacement?

I need a webhost (Linux preferably) with some fairly specific FTP account requirements.
I am going to need to be able to create an FTP account that multiple users can log on at once and they can upload files but NOT overwrite files of the same name. Can this be done? Anyone know of a host with these options?
This is for a program I'm working on where users make images and they upload them to the web. I don't want to use HTTP uploading because I don't know how to script it when FTP is easier for me. I wouldn't want people to learn the filenames of images and upload images with the exact same name to delete people's files.

How is it possible that if I set PassivePorts in /etc/proftp.d/vim 50-plesk.conf then they are deleted after updates?
The file /etc/proftpd.d/50-plesk.conf is "autogenerated", so to speak.
It is "good practice" to not change the original Plesk files, including the file 50-plesk.conf.
In order to set the passive ports properly, do the following:
a) go to /etc/proftpd.d/ directory,
b) create a file named "passiveports.conf" (or similar, but the .conf extension is required)
c) edit the contents of the file "passiveports.conf" to include a line with the text "PassivePorts <start> <end>", with <start> and <end> defining the port range.
Note that it is not necessary to restart proftpd and/or xinetd and/or Plesk, the new configuration will apply to any new connection to the FTP server.
Also note that every customization of proftpd configuration can be done with a similar procedure, with the resulting files not being overwritten by Plesk updates.
Finally, note that I have written some tips concerning FTP: [URL] ....
