VPS - Solution For Mail Sending
Dec 3, 2008
I own a small web design company and have a couple of reseller accounts.
My accounts limit sending email to 200 per hour.
I send html newsletters for a few of my clients (above board, subscribed emails)
and obviously my current email limit is a problem. I am thinking that a VPS would be one solution. Would I just set up an account for sending mail?
Currently only sending to lists of between 500 - 1000 recipients, but I'm looking at growing this service, hence me looking for an alternative solution.
I'm interested in easyspace virtual servers. Any feedback about them? Which package would I need to go for, just for sending mail? I did call easyspace to ask them but found them very unhelpful, the guy said "it should be okay, but if it causes a problem we'll close your account"

I am considering moving my webhosting homepage to another network, so clients can still access our webpage when the network is down.
Because I use 4PSA DNS Manager on the server in the other network, I cannot run Plesk on that same server. They could be conflicting. I had more reasons of not installing Plesk on that server, but I forgot.
I would however host my mail on the old server, located in our own network, but with e-mail fallback, so we do not lose any e-mails that our clients have sent us.
Is such a configuration hard to configure? The server just needs to work as fallback server/batched SMTP server for 1 domain.

I run the website, [url]and am looking for a way to send newsletters to the members of the website.
There are currently over 53,000 registered members. We have tried emailing the database before using a variety of techniques but they are not all fool proof.
Is there any software you could recommend or would I have to use a 3rd party provider? If so, how much would this cost (to do a weekly or monthly mailshot).
The website is run on a core2duo E6750 with 4GB RAM and a 100mbps port - is this high end enough to support e-mailing this quantity of messages?

I have a VPS, and I've received a mail from someone saying they've received a spam e-mail from my nameservers.
I'm wondering how I can see which scripts have been sending mail so I can try and stop it.
