Propagation
Aug 12, 2009
I put together a small website for a client, hosted on my server. When the client tries to pull up the site from their office, it's not able to find the website. (Google/Dell could not find page) But when I punch in another website that is hosted on the same server, it pulls right up on their computer. Could this be a DNS issue? Their office is within walking distance, pulls up fine at my office, from the DNS checks I have done seems everything is in working order.. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Site has been up for a few weeks

I had my domain content transfered from my old host to my new one. I've updated my domain servers and I understand that it takes up to 48 hours to propagate.
What is the best tool to use to check to see when the domain has fully propagated?

I have two dedicated server, and I want move a domain from one to the other.
Although I changed the name server 3 or 4 weeks ago, still some mails hit to old server (this can be checked after POP3 login with IP address of old server).
Most of mail reach to a new server but still some to old.
if this would be propagation problem with ISP or something wrong with DNS set up on the server?

I had a TTL of 1800s for my domain but since I will be soon moving to a new host, I lowered the value to 45s (the minimum I can use).
Since I had a first TTL of 1800s, does that mean that the new TTL value will be updated globally within 30mins? or will it take a random amount of time (few hours or so)?
I just want to wait to have the new 45s TTL value propagated everywhere before modifying the main IP.
