Plesk 12.x / Linux :: Restarting Sw-cp-server Never Works

For a while now I've noticed that on Plesk 12 the sw-cp-server init scripts can never restart the sw-cp-server properly. I have to manually kill the master process then restart it:

I have a Plesk 12.0.18 (Update #22) running on CentOS 6.6 (Final) and I have a very irritating issue with nginx.
Anytime a customer creates a domain and/or subdomain everything is registered and going wel except that nginx is not restarted/reloaded to reflect the changes and I have to restart nginx manually.
I cannot find anything that causes this, no obvious errors in the logs and or errors in the UI.

My server works fine like expected, but isn't uploaded to ftp. It was in 11.0.9, same after upgrading to 11.5.29.
The ftp repository in plesk shows a manually done older backup, so ftp connection seems to be ok.
In ftp repository settings I get an error, if I try to safe anything, ftp server, user and password are correct, manual ftp connection is working fine.

i notice in the release notes for 11.0.9 update #63 that the 'internal php version is updated to 5.3.29'.i have been using php 5.4 for some time now (installed outside of plesk since php 5.4 it's over 3 yrs old now and php current versions are 5.7 now...).
IF i would install this update #63, is it going to DOWNgrade my php in use on the server for all of my sites? then i'll have to re-upgrade after installing #63. and if yes, when i install #64, #65, etc... do i have to do that from now on? how this automated update works under the covers so i can get the security updates without downgrading my php version in the future unintentionally.

I'm using Plesk 12.0.18 on a virtual container powered by Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, and I cannot get the FTP (personal repository) working.In my settings, I've unchecked Passive mode (as the VPS is configured with the Virtuozzo firewall) yet Plesk still seems to test the connection with passive mode, which I know will fail. However active FTP on the command-line works fine.
My settings:
Host: ftp.hidrive.strato.com
Directory: /users/xxx/plesk_backups
FTP username: xxx
Password: xxx
Passive mode: UNCHECKED
FTPS: UNCHECKED
Saving the repository fails with (after a hang): Transport error: unable to list directory: Curl error: Couldn't connect to server
If the "directory" doesn't exist on the FTP server it fails immediately, so the connection is working, and it seems to be on the "dir/ls" command that it fails - which is a symptom it's using Passive mode.
According to the Panel log file, Plesk issues the below command:
[21-Oct-2014 02:53:55 America/Chicago] PleskUtilException: '/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/pmm-ras' '--check-repository' '--dump-storage=ftp://xxx@ftp.hidrive.strato.com/users/xxx/plesk_backups' '--use-ftp-passive-mode' failed with code 125.
Note the "--use-ftp-passive-mode" even though "passive mode" is UNCHECKED in the UI.
From a terminal:

We've been thinking about writing our own hosting control panel for our own
"tight" hosting setup, so that can alter the panel just to our needs without relying on updates from anybody else.
To read new configurations in Lighttpd or Apache, as far as I know, requires the software to be restarted (for example service apache restart). Are there any negative effects of this, I'm assuming that whilst being restarted there is a small amount of time during which the software is "down" and websites can't be accessed during that period (probably <1 second). Am I correct?
What is the best way to reload configurations into these http servers without service interruption? I notice that DirectAdmin seems to just restart Apache on any function that alters the configuration file - for example adding a new user.

1) If I'm logged into my {other VPS} with Putty, then
ssh root@67.xx.xx.xxx
successfully logs me into {new VPS}, after the password prompt, so I know the root password can login (some of the time)
2) ...but not my Windows computer, both Putty, and SFTP fail.
The SFTP error message is :
"ERROR:> [7/31/2009 9:48:08 AM] Can't connect to 67.xx.xx.xxx:22. SFTP21 error = #0."
Port 22 is correct, according to hosting support.
3a) Hosting support said...
"Based on the information you have provided to us, I am assuming that either your firewall or ISP is blocking the standard 22 SSH port. If you would like, we can change this to a custom port number."
3b) That response doesn't help, since I'm using port 22 for the {other VPS}

My server is hosted within a Virtuozzo VPS Server, and it runs very slow. Sometimes, when I type commands via shell, it takes 1-2 seconds to be echoed.
I've just checked free memory ('free -m') and it seems to be ok:

If I check "ps -ef" I don't see any weird process and with "top" the most memory-wasting process is 'mysqld' (0.8%).

I finally bought a VPS after not being able to pay for a dedicated server so I bought one from VPSbyte.com as they came highly recomended $39.95 server with Cpanel not the cheapest I gathered but I wanted reliable servers
now I moved my forum over to the server all was ok after I got the massive database sent over but when I tried to view a thread or category I could not it came back with No Valid input or something like that
I went into admin and disabled zoints SEO mod and the forum works fine BTW its a VB forum.
would it be due to mod rewrite that the forum does not work with zoints? and is it possible to get it to work?

I found a socket available other than 80 which would not allow me to use. I set it in the conf file as 1800 and then go to apache/bin directory and load httpd.exe. When I go to the browser, I have to type in http://localhost:1800 for it to work once. If I close the browser and try again, or I try a php file, it says it can't find localhost. I have to stop httpd.exe and reload, then it will work once.
Do I have to find a way to use socket 80 for it to work?

So this is a new problem for me, and I have no idea what could be broken?
My server works, but none of the sites load.
Server ip is 69.162.121.170, one of the sites is bloghost.cl
Where should I start looking? When you try to visit the site it just tells you it cant establish a connection. All I did was restart the server today, and now nothing works

I ordered a vps from knownhost the other day for $50/mo w/ cpanel
I have been using it for:
hosting of my own websites and 5 other clients (15 websites total)
installed a counter-strike source 11slot 100tick 500fps server w/ srctv on it and it RUNS GREAT!! solid 500fps, no lag/choke, wonderful registration!
cpu load maxes at around 60% and ram usage is about 80%
after being with nearly ever game server provider out there my team has agreed that this is the best server we've ever had.
so to all of you people wondering about it, YES, you can run a gameserver on a vps, and I reccommend it to everyone. Not only will it save you money, but you will be able host all your websites and run even a ventrilo server if you want.

Im having trouble restarting apache. I have a program which executes command lines and it runs as a system service (on windows). when i tell it to restart it loads apache up (i see another httpd.exe appear in task manager) but it doesnt restart it. the command line i used is "httpd.exe -k restart" i have added an environment variable but i have also tried the full path to the exe and still no luck.
If i run the exact same line from a batch file as local admin then it works fine. I also tried getting my program to run that batch file but again it didnt work.
Is there a reason why this would happen? Can only Admin restart it and not SYSTEM? Is there another command i should be using?

i have one site on vps host with 256 ram burst untill 768 ram...
every day i watch my site it alwasy consume CPU usage avareage 60%++ consume ..for daily usage its average 60% - 80% ..sometime its get 99% ...
if this situation happend to high..i used to restart service for the bind, apache, mysql and more serivice..i use cpanel and whm,,,..
my question is :
is there bad effect if i run the restart serivice everyday?

I thought everything was fine after setting up my new VPS with WHM/cPanel - however it turns out I was very, very wrong. I was trying to work out why email wasn't able to send or receive - so I tried to restart the mail service from WHM. This is where the problems started.
I tried to restart different services (all of them) some worked fine - some failed (the ones which are in red below are the ones which failed). The results are below. If anyone has any information or wouldn't mind helping me to resolve this I would appreciate it.

Installing mod_evasive after serveral attacks on our server.
but when restarting httpd I get this error,
httpd: Syntax error on line 36 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure 'evasive20_module' in file /usr/lib/httpd/modules/mod_evasive20.so is garbled - expected signature 41503232 but saw 41503230 - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO, or was compiled for a different Apache version?

way to restart mysql and named if they drop. I'm on cpanel.
I've searched and found the following:
For mysql:

I have these set to run every 5 minutes, just to check if mysql/named are running. I found out that it doesn't work: I woke up to a whole bunch of sql errors and realized that mysql dropped while I was asleep... I type in "service mysql restart" manually and it restarts as usual, so I know that the command to restart sql works fine, but the restarts aren't triggering in the first place.

yesterday i setup my first vps system and now its hosting 2 forums of my. Thing is in evry 10 mints Mysql & courier-imap are restarting..? I know this from the lxadmin alert email. Can you restart the httpd to get the server online again while you are under an DDoS attack?
The reason for asking is that I was told that when restarting the httpd it should start to work again instantly, and so it seems.
But why? doesnt the attack "continue" after the restart?
