Jolt Digital

Aug 14, 2008

I just wanted to put out a quick note to people looking for Windows hosting, I setup one of my clients over at Jolt Digital (specificlly for one of the ProductCart plans) and we have not had any major problems (we went through 2 other hosts before that) Tech support is online 24/7 which has been very handy!

Digital City Hosting

Mar 11, 2008

Just wondered if anyone had had any experince with Digital City Hosting?

I took a package out with them about two months ago and have been hosting my site top100links.info on it for about a month and half without any problems.

Then on Thursday my site went down and stayed down until last night which is pretty shocking. I emailed them about four times and they still haven't got back to me, which i'm pretty annoyed about.

Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

Should I move my site to someone more reputable or stick it out and hope that it was a one off?Chris

Digital Linx VPS Review

Feb 26, 2009

I've had my VPS with Digital Linx for a little over two days now.

I've had nothing but PURE EPIC support from these guys. They are completely honest when you ask them a question about their company, and most of all, they ALL know EXACTLY what they are talking about!

Support is really good so far, I haven't had any really urgent issues as of yet.

I will keep this thread updated as my experience goes on, but so far, perfect.

Western Digital Or Seagate

Dec 23, 2007

We have been using primarily Western Digital drives in all of our server (Raid Edition Series "YS) but have had some problems recently with failing drives, or SMART errors on drives that were only a month or two old. I'm beginning to think maybe Seagate is a better choice?

Based on all of the experience out there, which way do most of you lean...WD or Seagate?

& Legalities Of Digital Signatures

Jul 3, 2007

I'm working on a project that requires patients of a large medical practice to go online and fill out various medical question/information forms at their own leisure. This information is entered through a complex system of forms (depending on the type of patient, injury, etc.). However, on many of the forms a patient would have to fill out by hand, they need to sign to ensure information is completed accurately and completely.

So here's my question - what exactly is required to make a digital signature from a website that will hold up in court as strong as a hand-written signature? I've seen other forms that have you type your complete name and date, but is this all that's required? This needs to be as strong and mean the same thing as a signed piece of paper.

I've done a little research, but there really isn't much out there on this stuff. I found some information at W3C (sorry I can't link; I do not have 5 posts yet) but to be honest, I'm really confused by it all.

Sort Of Repost - Review Digital Linx

Mar 29, 2009

<Updated and edited since the WHT crash>

I have had a VPS with Digital Linx since December 4, 2008. I am more than happy with the service I have received from them. At first, their order and billing system was a bit wonky, but now it is working just fine. I have dealt with support a few times, and they have been very quick to respond. Their MSN support person is online a LOT. At one point, there was a heavy load on the VPS. I msg'd support on MSN and they were already dealing with it. It was fixed in 5 minutes. They were also quick to set up TAP/TUN, and were really good when I said I was going to set up the VNC I am currently running.

They have added a number of good VPS images since, including 2 VNC images. With this, the offer more than most VPS providers. Their support people have always been very quick to respond, and their prices are very competitive. I am thrilled to get this level of support for the amount I pay.

I currently do not have any website hosted on that VPS. I am using it as a VNC server/remote office. But, just so you know, I am posting from it! I have reported my domainname/IP.

I highly recommend Digital Linx. They are one of the best value VPS companies I have dealt with, and I have dealt with a few.
