I've got the folowing error message:

I am using Exim.
A email account can send email, but cannot receive email, why? How do I know the answer why?

I have a customer who has an iMac using Entourage and is unable to receive any emails, they are able to send emails, the settings that are used are:
Outgoing mail.customersite.com port 26
Incoming mail.customersite.com port 110
Emails that are sent arrive without a problem, sorry I am not familiar with iMac’s, so is there anything else that needs to be done?

my customers cannot send/receive their emails, I contacted with our data center to solve this problem for me and they said because the CalmAV was disabled we have this problem, we start the CalamAV but we have this problem yet!

Getting a 550 error...
I am a reseller with Hostforweb.com and have a minor problem that is turning into a major problem.
A number of email addresses within my clients can't receive server generated activation or verification emails, and therefore, cannot join many professional sites. It seems to be problematic with php generated email. The last two sites that I have tried to join are:
Drupal.org and Joomla.org.
HostforWeb keeps saying that is the fault of the webserver that I am trying to activate membership on. I am getting the royal run around while I am losing paying accounts.
Any body with this problem on HostforWeb.com or any other web host?
Also, I can receive the verification email on other mail addresses - both POP and IMAP.

I can send and receive, but no emails arrive, probably because the registrar has a resolve issue?
Site is also down.
Here is what happened:
We have been running our web/ftp/application/mail server for about 4 years, and running flawlessly. This week one of the computers in the network was infected with a virus that was sending spam like crazy. We got blacklisted, as per this site mxtoolbox.com. Our domain is affordablerto.net. Since then we have isolated the problem, klilled the virus and are no longer blacklisted. But we are not able to send or receive any emails now. I wrote mxtoolbox and there reply was basicly "We can get you up and running if you pay us". I called our ISP and they stated that the ports(25) are open. When I do an smtp diagnostic from mxtoolbox I get the response that Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.
When I go to dnsreport and input our mail server (mail.affordablerto.net) I get ERROR:
The parent servers say that the domain mail.affordablerto.net does not have any NS records (although they may have some other information on that zone).
When I put in our mail server under mail test I get this Getting MX record for mail.affordablerto.net (from local DNS server, may be cached)... There is no MX record for mail.affordablerto.net! That's bad. Checking for an A record... Got it!
When I put in our domain I get this...well I can not put a link in yet - the software here says I need to take 5 posts before I can link anything. Go ahead and try it yourself.
I am not sure what most of this information means. I am in contact with our DNS provider and they keep on trying to sell me some solution. So does mxtoolbox.
I don't know what to do.
All status of pop and exim server are OK, no problem. but couldn't receive and send email, no error message.

It's only this one account that's facing this issue, so I'm not sure if it's something on the server or their account?
I just installed WAMPP on Windows Vista 32 machine. I am using Firefox. When I try the localhost, I receive a 404 error. I have no idea what else to check the UAC is off, port 80 is free, I am running Avast as my anti-virus. I am a complete newbie to PHP, Apache, & MySql. I have a test server from which I can send out emails.. but I am unable to receive emails although I can connect and login to the pop3 server locally (telnet localhost 110)
How can I investigate this issue to find the problem and fix it
i have a a mail account with aaa@mydomain.com on server-a,
i move the account to server-b,
the mail account still shows in cpanel,
i try to sent mail to the mailbox aaa@mydomain.com successfully,
i try to use the "Email Delivery Route" cpanel feature on server-c to test aaa@mydomain.com,
it shows the mail will sent to server-b,
but no matter i login webmail or outlook,i can not receive any mail from the aaa@mydomain.com.
i try to ssh the server and run "/scripts/mailtroubleshoot",
but it shows "Please use mail troubleshooter Version 2.0 in WHM. at /scripts/mailtroubleshoot line 5.",
Like so many others I am having the problem in which Hotmail and Yahoo are rejecting emails being sent from my server. I recently changed servers and this is most likely the reason.
While Hotmail hasn't been fixed, they have responded swiftly, usually within 6 hours.
I need to contact Yahoo about it but I can't find any information or forms to fill out. Could you please direct me to the correct URL - their site is a complete maze.

Sending mails on Intranet/locally on the same PC without problem.

All mails sent on yahoo.com/gmail.com to this server returned saying users NOT found. However the respective users including Maildir have been created. Mails sent to them on Intranet w/o problem.
